  1. Now that my, perhaps in reality inaccurate, fewer windows problem has turned out not to be a problem, I want to ask, especially to those who may actually have been there, are there any unique Afghan style buildings really needed? There's a photo of a "grape hut" in another thread. Are those common?
  2. Well that shows how ignorant I am regarding the terrain editor.
  3. Maybe it's just me and I've only played the demo, but I recall the buildings in CM:Afghanistan had fewer windows than the ones in CMSF. I assumed that was accurate for the setting. P.S. And I meant throw a few Afghan style buildings into this potential pack.
  4. One thing I note from CMA is the buildings have fewer windows. I assume that's accurate for the 80's and perhaps still is. Still it wouldn't be hard to do to throw a few in I would think.
  5. I think there would be good interest in that, but the vibe I get is that Battlefront is adverse into making "sandbox" expansions.
  6. Are you saving the Half-Life game was radioactive? But they sold millions of copies!
  7. I have this tilting at windmills wish that if the new Shock Force sells really well there could be a French/Italian module some time. Once upon a time I posted a full unit order of battle for both sires for the war. It was based as best I could on the units depicted on the map that came with the physical copy of the game, but also included units from the campaigns including fan made ones. Below, for example, are the Canadians. Someone posted I was probably over generous in that it would be difficult for Canada to field everything I gave them, and there's a good chance the same was true for other nations. I didn't include any Turkish ground forces as Battlefront's map had none. I did allow for Turkish air units however as a compromise. Canada 1st Mech Brigade HQ-assigned to NATO Combined division -Ceylanpinar Area - Initial Objective Al Hasakah Canada "Lord Strathcona's Horse" Armored battalion Canada 1 / "Princess Patricia's Light Infantry" Mech battalion Canada 2 / "Princess Patricia's Light Infantry" Mech battalion Canada 3 / "Princess Patricia's Light Infantry" Infantry battalion Canada 1 "Royal Canadian Horse Artillery" Field Artillery battalion 105mm/155mm towed Canada 1 Mech Engineer regiment (battalion size unit) Canadian Special Operations Regiment (battalion size unit)
  8. Guys, I love Mike's mods but he can have a life outside of Combat Mission you know.
  9. Is that young corn (maize for you Europeans) that A Company is positioned in?
  10. Looks great. Mike are you also going to redo you African Campaign?
  11. I was wondering based on Mike's post where in the world could one possibly get Turkish voice files for a mod. I suppose one could use the in game Arabic files and most folks wouldn't notice. :(
  12. To elaborate just a bit however, the new CMSF will have all the features of the current Cmx2 engine appropriate for the 2008 Syria setting, so in comparison with the original game there are new features beside on map mortars such as for example water, barbed wire, ground to air fire, etc.
  13. Steve posted in another thread the material in the old Repository will be back eventually.
  14. I think unit tags would deliver what Rokossovski is after perhaps, though previously what tags were available wasn't well documented.
  15. Do any of the insurgents variants come without a head wrap?
  16. I'm assuming for now the Repository will return as I would think BF would want things that attract folks to the website.
  17. Queue up Seinfeld episode clip. Ukraine is game to you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzLtF_PxbYw
  18. For inspiration, take a look at what Chris "Normal Dude" did for uniform mods for CMSF 1. As most know they won't won't work in CMSF 2.
  19. What do you think your first project will be? Or do you want to wait until you have the game to decide?
  20. Not sure, but are those dusty windows I'm seeing on the pickup technicals ?
