JoMac got a reaction from Bulletpoint in Tank Gun Damage
Yeah, I think what is happening is that the Game Calculates hits as a 2D Pixel Hit, and so a Hit to a Gun Barrel (no matter how wide or narrow the incoming Shell, or how Shallow the angle) will automagically catch the Barrel and hole it (KO'ing the Gun Barrel).
In Reality, most of those hits will deflect and run down the length of the Barrel (especially light shells) and hit somewhere in Turret/Upper Hull.

Yes, Friar Tuck...Get one of the WWII Titles (there the only ones that count) so you can play against one of the H2H Players, like myself (I'm an easy kill :-).

Ok, next possibility...If you to Battlefront.com and go under Account Purchases, you should be able to find the CMBN Full installer (it's one big download). Just uninstall your old version first, then download that Full Installer (which will automagically bring you to 4.02)...Should solve the problem.

Ok, Glen, and see the problem...You have 3.12, and next would need to purchase & install the 4.0 Upgrade, then you install the 4.02 Patch.

I'm glad to hear that CM:FB will finally include the Commonwealth and take this to end of War.

JoMac got a reaction from A Canadian Cat in PBEM question
Ok, the first Game File is just your 'Password', then you exit and send the 'Outgoing Game File to your Opponent, then you receive next game from him, and it should be the 'Purchase Screen' if QB, or Deployment if Scenario.

JoMac got a reaction from Bulletpoint in New issue in 4.02? Troops reluctant to fire on spotted enemies
I generally use CMBN (now with 4.02) to Test Game Components, etc...
I would Setup a Squad vs enemy Squad 250-300 meters apart, stationary, Open Flat Terrain, troops fire themselves, just to see what happens during a 15 minute Fire-Fight...The Troops would open fire for 1-2 minutes, then decide to stop shooting for most rest of the game, even when there are 2-3 troops on either side still coming in and out of LOS every turn.
I remember in older versions of CMBN with exact same conditions above, troops would shoot more often every turn and with more LOS of individual troops until just about everyone was KIA/WIA.
So...Maybe some sort of issue with 4.02, or possibly BF decided to make troops more conscious on when to fire (sort of J Bennett's thoughts) to give a better overall representation of Lower Casualties during a ranging Firefight ?

Thanks, BF, for the 4.0 Patch Fix :-)
Keep in mind, BF Forumites, you will need to take out 'Vin's Animated Text' for all your Titles (and re-do it, or he may come along and re-do it at some point) or you will see wrong names for your Units.

I think, Steve, mentioned that Huns & Romanian Forces won't be included, but still might get 'Partisans'.

JoMac got a reaction from RockinHarry in CM:BN Screenshot Thread #2
Yeah, I was also thinking about that Launcher-Tube sticking out the Window (in middle of reloading), and thought it might have something to do with it...So, this theory can also be applied to any Unit reloading with part of the Weapon sticking out the building/structure (MG's Launcher, ATR, etc).

JoMac got a reaction from RockinHarry in The Truelife* Mode PBEM DAR - RockinHarry German POV
Yeah, I wouldn't try it out in your current DAR with HT (unless you both did it exactly, say half-way through game), but something to use when playing Scenario's/QB against the AI...If you do, then post back your findings :-)

JoMac got a reaction from RockinHarry in The Truelife* Mode PBEM DAR - RockinHarry German POV
@RockinHarry
Maybe keeping the Arrows (located above Monitor) might be better then not having them...I say this, because you mentioned that it would be nice to have Friendly Units Blink (for a few secs) if it located an enemy Unit...Keeping the Arrows will solve this problem (since the arrows will come and go as Enemy Units disappear)...And, by using the rest of your 'Realism Mod' you still wont see enemy Icons/Contacts for future reference (FOW).
Anyways, just Food for Thought...

JoMac got a reaction from wadepm in Weekend Challenge Battle
@Heirloom_Tomato, I downloaded them all, but haven't played them yet (will probably do at some point)...Now, and to take off any pressure, I think it's best if you come out with these type of Scenario's once a Month (beginning or end). This will give you time to spend with Family, Work, and other Projects, and players will still have something to look forward to when that Scenario comes out.
Just a Friendly Suggestion :-)
