Taking what bait? This is not about you. Why should it be about you? And why is 'seeing' you of any importance? Unlike Steve and you are the same person.  You are just picturing yourself as the voice of reason. Which you are not. People are asking justified questions and in return calling them sad or pathetic IS arrogant. If screenshots are announced and promised, but nothing happens for more than a month, than there is something wrong with communicating from the side of BF.  Time and  time again reading the same old 'information' is getting on people's nerves. That's quite normal.
And another thing. This forum needs a Young Guard, since the Old Guard is pretty decimated. So let's welcome their comments and questions and make them feel at home, so they will stay with us.

Not to mention that the Battlefront website isn't being used to relay information about what is going on. 
Last Combat Mission related post was in April 2017. 
I don't understand why they don't post the screenshots of CM:SF2 there to let everyone who browses their website know that it is in development and will be released in 2018 (*fingers crossed*) among other things going on with the Combat Mission series. 
If you only browse the website and not the forums you might get the idea that nothing is being worked on.

I think that BFCs decision to go for a VERY limited information sharing might actually be one of the reasons these speculations happen...
Sure...On the pluss-side...they don't have to answer all that many questions and can concentrate on working...but a negative result of this quietness...is...

Not really.
It's more likely that BF has prioritized the new projects higher, and left the patch on the backburner.
There has also been very little communication from BF's side regarding the patch, although it has been brought up many times on the forum the last 14 months. Which is why we are left guessing...

It's also bad economics!
A lot of people like myself, never bothered to upgrade from 3.0, because of the problems with 4.0. We are just waiting to buy the upgrade for our games, whenever BFC get their act together.
Very strange BFC don't care about that income, and customers have to wait more than a year for a patch!

What's the latest on the forthcoming patch? It seems a bit strange that we are halfway through the fourteenth month since 4.0 was released and we have still had absolutely nothing....

The zig zag discussion is based upon the training movie George MC posted some time ago. In that movie the SPW was zig zagging while a Russian ATR tried to kill it. Hence the question whether it could be simulated in the game. I fully agree that in the game it wouldn't work and only make the SPW more vulnerable, but that's also not really the point. It was just for argument's sake. In the game only distance, cover and in lesser measure speed can save your SPW. To be honest I also doubt zig zagging in real life would have been recommendable. It most certainly isn't mentioned in the training manuel I've quoted.

was first talked about in the 2015 Christmas Bones thread. Not even a screenshot since then? What gives BFC? Can we get something? The only pictures we've seen was the head shot of the Indian model (unless I missed something).

Pity we don't have discussions here like this one anymore. Some sharp observations in this thread:
People like Desert Fox (a real expert, I think) seem to have left the building. Or is he still around? This discussion also seems to give a clear answer to the question whether SPW's (APC) were actually used for close combat/frontal assault and whether panzergrenadiere fought from inside the vehicles. Personally I've always been convinced they were, since it would have been a waste not to use them. To be absolutely certain I've just ordered this book about the correct tactical use of SPW's:

For all those Ostfront-veterans who are awaiting the first snow: remember the excellent Winter Mod made by Kohlenklau, BarbaricCo, Kevinkin and others. It will do nicely until the real thing arrives.  Or until Steve will throw us some icy bones...
