  1. I got this back in February. Best monitor I've ever had. The 144mhz/5ms refresh kills it. I haven't seen a texture tear since I started using it. Probably too big for you but at the price it is a great monitor, and CM, Total Wars, and Doom all look great on it. I use it in a very small area and have no problems. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N2QN4YP/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Needs a display port cable to get the full 144mgz. Mord.
  2. Some people like to tell kids there's no Santa Claus... Mord.
  3. Glad you like 'em I don't! That CMBS mod was tiny. The CMBN mod has 2500 portraits! The RT mod has around 900 (only because the Russians didn't use any identification for formations that I could find). I would've went insane trying to randomize them! However, I wish there were more portraits for formations within the different armies, like Engineers, Rangers, StuG Brigades, Tank Destroyers, etc. Mord.
  4. You're welcome. Hope that gives you enough info to make an informed decision. Mord.
  5. Scroll down to my post in the link. CMFI and FB are the only ones with winter. All the WWII games can be upgraded to 4.0 Mord.
  6. Remove the question mark in the title and make this one it. Mord.
  7. This here: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=fileinfo&id=3579 Possibly these: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=fileinfo&id=3545 http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=fileinfo&id=3498 Mord.
  8. Phase two of the prep work is now done. All the Germans shields have been created; American patches were already prepped so that is out of the way. Though, I will have to hunt down the battalion insignia for the divisions new to FB, when it comes time. Next up, adjusting heads (some have been done already) and making portraits. Mord.

  10. Yep, HBO. It's on HBO Go. There's a sequel too, "Into The Storm" with Brendan Gleeson but I didn't like that one as much. It's not a bad movie, just felt like Finney set the bar and the sequel didn't quite live up to it. Mord.
  11. Co-play has never interested me in CM. I prefer single player and PBEMs. Mord.
  12. If you've never seen it, check out "The Gathering Storm". I thought Albert Finney did a great job as Churchill. I am glad you guys brought these up, they are both movies I want to see but forgot about. Gonna have to keep my eyes peeled. Mord.
  13. Oh man, this is your hell month! Good luck, SLIM Kringle. Mord.
  14. YEP! YEP! YEP! Exactly why I've been running my face on here about WEGO forever and a day. I remember the very first game I played of BN back when the demo came out. I had ordered a squad to run through a farmyard towards some cover. To my surprise there happened to be a couple Germans in a near by house I hadn't counted on. My guys were trotting right past them, fish in a barrel, stacked up to be mowed down. The last guy in the squad spotted them, stopped mid stride and shot a rifle grenade through the window they were standing in and killed both of them. Then he continued on like it was no big deal. Not as dramatic as your cool stories of course but it was the type of fidelity in a WWII scene I'd been pining for since CMBO. Basically, 10 years of dreaming come to fruition. Beautiful moment. I started a thread like this for SF many years back that got pretty big. Hopefully this thread will balloon like that one did. I love reading these types of posts. I want more. Great stories, man. Thanks! Mord.
  15. Gotchya! Thanks. I was surprised when I came across that patch, in six years of researching the various German divisional symbols it's the first patch I have run into. I am guessing it is worn on the Jäger uniform sleeve, if even it's worn at all? Mord.
  16. "The division was transferred to Italy in January 1944, to reinforce the Anzio front. It was destroyed in combat in that theater in April 1945."-from the Wikipedia entry for the 114th Jäger divisions. For what that's worth. This? Mord.
  17. Thanks, man. I've Light Divisions but never connected the "lei" part and "light". I see that they ended up becoming Pz Divisions later on. Mord.
  18. Didn't catch this part: Yeah, the Panzerjäger battalion I was referring to was from the Heer infantry, it only has towed guns for AT capabilities. That's what got me wondering about the infantry. Mord.
  19. What are ya, a mall Santa? LOL Have a great Christmas, my man! Mord.
  20. That's the part I was most interested in. I got curious while I was researching for my portrait mod. I am guessing as obsessive (in a good way) as Steve is, we'll see an actual Jäger formation? I'd expect in the new FI module as the 114th was in Italy. Not to mention, if they ever make partisans for RT, gonna need some hunters to take them down. BTW Any idea what a Lei Division is? Google translate is screwing me on that one! Thanks, man! Mord.
  21. Does CM2 portray Jäger Division infantry type units or have they not been added? I see selections for Panzerjäger battalion under German Army: Infantry, but wasn't sure how you'd portray the infantry part of the formation. For instance the 114th Jäger Division's OOB looks like this: Jäger Regiment 721 Jäger Regiment 741 Reconnaissance Battalion 114 Artillery Regiment 661 Pionier Battalion 114 Panzerjäger Battalion 114 Signals Battalion 114 Reserve Battalion 114 Supply detachment 114 What formation would you use to represent a piece of say the 721st Regiment; elements from a normal Grenadier Battalion? Pioneer, Panzerjäger, and Supply all have obvious choices in the editor. Mord.
  22. Every time Microsoft does something to improve my experience I walk away with a limp and an appreciation for KY. Mord.
