When you travel the French countryside it seems that every small hill has some kind of building on it. The bigger the hill the bigger the building. They really like the high ground...

Ok. I got the ammo. Had the team in the jeep get out and then another team jumped in and got the stuff. Thanks. I have successfully blasted through bocage and brick walls before. I tried to do the same with wire and all they did was try to move around it. I will try again...

I have been playing against the AI for a little while and I have a couple of questions that I haven't seen answered here and I found nothing with a cursory search. Clearing wire: Can this be done? The Blast command doesn't seem to do anything - wire isn't listed in the manual as one of the things that Blast will do anyway. So I am left with driving over it with a tank? Jeep with Bazooka: In several scenarios there is a jeep loaded with a bazooka and a bunch of rounds. How do I get at this treasure trove? I have tried putting a squad around the jeep but their Aquire button remains grey. I have tried dismounting the two guys in the jeep but they don't carry the bazooka with them, and the jeep then appears empty. Last Defense: In this battle in the American setup zone there are small whites stars at a couple of setup locations floating just about treetop level. What are they? Thanks. Enjoying this game quite a bit!

I would settle for a printable map that I can make notes on. Outlines for the buildings, contours, shades of green for tress, brush, etc. Might be easier to implement and I think we have enough stuff on the screen as it is...

Ok, played a couple of games against my son and the AI. First, I am not a real-time guy. It's cool but I can't keep track of everything the way I like so it's email for me. The game is very cool, feels very realistic. I have a lot to learn (I skipped the whole CMSF era) and I'm looking forward to reading the manual cover to cover on the train ride into work every morning for as long as it takes. I need to get ready for ROW... Excellent job Battlefront. I look forward to the full version. And the Eastern Front...eventually. One weird thing happened in the Bocage scenario (I think). One of my AT guns blasted one of my 'shreck teams, repeatedly. Happened in real life I am sure but a bit disconcerting in the game!

After many years I am coming back as well. Had to get a new rig to play this thing though. Probably needed one anyway, but this was the catalyst. My sons are kind of excited too, they remember looking over my shoulder when they were 6-7 years old. Now one is going off to college. Sniff... -

I must agree with JasonC on this one. I think the 60% casualties for the American side is way too high. Even Pickett's Charge had only about 50% casualties. However, it is unclear if that is due to the poor generalship on the part of the players (sorry guys!) or some deficiency in the game model. I am sure that if the game model were "perfect" the player could push his guys straight into the maelstrom and get high casualties rates but I would expect that his troops would be cowering blobs of jelly well before he got to 60% casualties. Setting the scenario victory conditions to reward force conservation does not address this issue. Penalizing a player after the fact is not the same as the game model "punishing" his play during the game. But, this is still a game. I wouldn't have a problem with this whole thing except that I hold CM to a higher standard. I support including a realism level that would incoprate a "realistic" morale model. We could also include forcing camera level 1 too... This is just my opinion. I am still buying the game and I am sure I will enjoy the crap out of it. -

The ratio of KIA to wounded seems off. I would expect it to be the other way 'round. But every action is unique, I guess. What is it on average over many battles? -
