  1. Andreas, thanks for the info. So we know that it can traverse, atleast a little bit, then the important question becomes: does it have the sights, etc. to allow it to hit a moving target. I think not, what does your source say about that?
  2. I had a 150 IG set up covering a road with an armor covered arc. The road wass about 150 m away and running at a right angle to my line of sight. A T-34 came tearing down the road and the IG picked it off after traversing about 15-20 degrees. My question is - was this possible in RL? Did this gun have ability to traverse at all, much less follow a moving target and hit it?

  4. Well, in my test the results are similar to 1.01 but the gun doesn't die quite as fast. I think we are approaching that happy medium between 1.01 and 1.02. One more tweek Matt?
  5. My test scenario runs the same with 1.02 and 1.03. All of the shells hit the hill in front although the gun seems to get hit by MGs a little more. Not one shot flies over the gun, everything hits the hill in front, as before.
  6. Steve, During a recent PBEM match in ROW III I accidently started vesion 1.02 to play a file that had not been converted from 1.01. It worked fine so I thought that my opponent had converted but just forgot to tell me. At the end of the game, however, the scores reported to each player were slightly different which is when I found out the file had indeed never been converted.
  7. I set up my own little test - AT gun behind low rise facing 10 elite Panthers. In version 1.01 the gun is taken out after about 6 shots. In version 1.02 the gun is invulnerable, all shots (100s of shots) hit the slope in front of the gun. There were sounds of MG rounds hitting the shield which eventually caused the crew to abandon the gun after a couple of turns. I wonder what Charles changed in 1.02?
  8. I think this is a bug. What the AI is doing is trying to fire at the base. I think only vehicles have actual 3D targets to shoot at. If the 105 can see them then they can see the 105, although the target would be very small. But I would think one of those 100s of shots would find the gun...if they could target it.
  9. Finished all my games but one, Rear Guard Action vs Jim Crowley. Jim, Jim...can you hear me man! Are you all right! BTW, I think I misplaced your new email address. Do I owe you a turn?
  10. I never did get to see it here in Chicago, they kept preempting it for local news and stuff. They did do a very quick preview once that showed the back of what I think is Charles' head.

  12. All games are underway including my game with Jim Crowley - so he is alive and well.
  13. Rune, by my count that makes 11 counting you too, but not barrold unless he is really serious about driving in from MI...again. If I remember correctly from our preview meeting, that number might be more than can fit in your war room. Looks like we might need a bar-like location w/ laptops?

  16. 0005004.wav is the wav file for the chirping bird sound.
  17. Can anybody get the dog barking sound from CC3? That would be a perfect replacement for the chirping birds.
  18. It uses "Real Time" game play. Does that mean it will take 5+ years to complete each game? But it's "pausable" so it will take even longer!

  20. I don't know about the first one but in the second case did the FO have a radio or was he hard wired - those guys do strange stuff when you have them move in any fashion.
