Battlefront.com
Yes, it is time to announce our latest corporate acquisition... Fernando!! Fernando, as many of you know, is sorta kinda good with the art stuff. He started out by doing some stuff for CMBO that wasn't all that bad. When CMBB came around he insisted on working with us more directly. We resisted, but darn it... he's Spanish! We're still not sure what that has to do with anything, but it apparently worked! The result was a couple of things in CMBB that didn't make people laugh. Then we started up on this CMAK thingy and whadda know... there was Fernando demanding that he take a leading role. We thought about telling him ¡NO!, but there was that Spanish thing looming over us so we just gave in and hired him. The rest will be history. Seriously, Fernando's work is well known and respected by you all. He is also highly professional, level headed, and a pleasure to work with. Yet he is Spanish, so go figure Therefore, when we decided to do CMAK it was a no brainer to get him involved with it from the very start. He has been working for us now for several months on a part time basis, obviously in secret because the game wasn't announced or anything. But those screenshots you see prove that he wasn't just on the payroll to keep us entertained with his wit and humor! As of next month he will be working full time with us on CMAK. Obviously that means CMAK is in good hands! Let's all welcome Fernando! Now, what about all the other folks out there that have done art for CMBB/CMBO? Well, Dan is doing the 3D models for CMAK as well as various stuff for the new engine. The other gaggle of guys that really made CMBB shine will also likely be involved in some way shape or form if they want to. Fernando is good, but at some point we'll swamp him like we did Dan. You guys know who you are and you know that we aren't shy about asking you to do stuff Just wanted to make you guys know officially that we haven't forgotten about you! Again, welcome to Fernando! li
(Single, March 1976) Can you hear the drums Fernando? I remember long ago another starry night like this In the firelight Fernando You were humming to yourself and softly strumming your guitar I could hear the distant drums And sounds of bugle calls were coming from afar They were closer now Fernando Every hour every minute seemed to last eternally I was so afraid Fernando We were young and full of life and none of us prepared to die And I'm not ashamed to say The roar of guns and cannons almost made me cry There was something in the air that night The stars were bright, Fernando They were shining there for you and me For liberty, Fernando Though I never thought that we could lose There's no regret If I had to do the same again I would, my friend, Fernando Now we're old and grey Fernando And since many years I haven't seen a rifle in your hand Can you hear the drums Fernando? Do you still recall the frightful night we crossed the Rio Grande? I can see it in your eyes How proud you were to fight for freedom in this land There was something in the air that night The stars were bright, Fernando They were shining there for you and me For liberty, Fernando Though I never thought that we could lose There's no regret If I had to do the same again I would, my friend, Fernando There was something in the air that night The stars were bright, Fernando They were shining there for you and me For liberty, Fernando Though I never thought that we could lose There's no regret If I had to do the same again I would, my friend, Fernando Yes, if I had to do the same again I would, my friend, Fernando...

kipanderson
Hi, Fernando, yes there is a name that rings a bell. I remember in CMBO I was always on the lookout for Mods by Fernando…. I think I used all his Mods as my standards in CMBO. CMAK is clearly in safe hands. Congratulations. All the best, Kip.
