  1. An MG42 derivative I think? Quite something...
  2. +100 to this. And all (AFAIK) members of the fairer sex. Not sure of the rules in TX these days .
  3. Unless you actually have won Powerball, I don't think you'll ever get an answer to that.
  4. Well welcome back, that's a tough story. I'm playing all CM2 WW2 titles on a laptop with slightly higher spec: Intel i7 6700HQ, with GTX1060. No issues with the games at all. Afghanistan is CM1 so should be less of a burden I think. Hopefully others will come along to confirm or deny...
  5. Further evidence of the correct spelling, if we needed it .
  6. Now that is totally acceptable, great game.
  7. It's the former, obviously old chap. I've seen you say this a couple of times. You've been watching Gordon Ramsey haven't you? You know that's not a good idea right? Enjoy it my friend . I've heard it's a cold, wine-based drink popular in Spain. It is similar to sangria and typically made up of 1 part of table red wine and 1 part soda, usually lemonade. And I did not hear that from Wikipedia .
  8. Well it beats a strawberry on your butt cheek. And no I don't, before you ask.
  9. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/REMF I thought the trucks might have all gone to Normandy, judging by the supply convoys I have in a current PBEM.
  10. The highlight so far was when the translator seemed to use the words "oh f**k" (a translation of what was being said) on the BBC live broadcast.
  11. Okay so we should just be looking at the Counterattack battle - to be fair that's what the thread title was .
  12. So the Moltke Bridge loads, but has no briefing and looks like a work in progress based on the FR battle?
  13. Well maybe, but just checking you do know there are 3 scenarios in the download, not just the one in the title of this thread? The Counterattack scenario loads fine here except for the images on the briefing screen, but the one enigmatically named '6th' which Erwin and I were referring to does not. I'll try the third one which is Moltke Bridge.
  14. Yeah, sorry to say me too. On my laptop, so: Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2592 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 A bit old but I've never had a total stop before with anything. Going to try the others now...
  15. Yes, very cool indeed John. Big thanks to @Paper Tiger, great to see you back.
  16. Experience talks , but it could be worth another go? Not so sure the result would be different though...
  17. I'd buy it, but I'm not sure whether BFC think many others would. And I'd rather buy early East Front WW2 (at which point Steve yawns and reaches for another beer).
  18. Me too. Welcome and it's good to read your post. I'm more of WW2 guy, but I get your points and they're valid.
  19. Agreed, and it's no surprise that a lot of these are George's large 3D works of art. But there are examples of this in CMBN too (the Wittman scenarios come to mind). And I mean no disrespect to all of the other contributors - for example I'm in the middle of getting my butt kicked in one of @benpark's great creations (Rumble at Reitwein) and it is a great map. If only I'd chosen to play Soviet. Or been less lazy in checking LOS/LOF. Oh well.
  20. Have to say I'm kinda with Artkin on this one. RT was my first purchase and it's still a great title, with @George MC's recent battle pack adding even more great battles (testing and PBEMs with these so far have been truly excellent). And there are plenty of options to play as Soviets not Germans. But I also get the 'own service' thing, so I wouldn't knock that.
  21. I like this and will have to give it a try. Perhaps everyone else knew? Anyway I'm becoming quite the acquirer of stuff like bazooka tubes which happen to be on quite a few of the vehicles in the CMBN game I'm playing at the moment. Hope my opponent doesn't read this.
  22. Oh you mean football Jacob ? Reminds me of British sports presenter Des Lynam, who attempted on a live broadcast to say 'Cup Soccer' but came out with 'C**k Sucker' instead - hilarious if you're bit childish like me.
