  1. I agree. And bunkers should not be vehicles but that's a whole other can of poo, and I can see why it was done like that.
  2. Just to say, although Elvis is great (I mean @BFCElvis of course, views on other Elvis' may vary) things don't get fixed overnight. Patience is a virtue my friends...
  3. M26 in a late expansion? Yeah okay only very few actually fired their guns, but it would be good to play with them?
  4. What did I tell you, the best support . My tests were in RT as you can see above.
  5. As I said recently Phil, I am your biggest fan. And it's because of stuff like this. Whatever meagre help I can offer, just ask. That's from someone who currently doesn't quite understand AI programming in the editor LOL.
  6. He'll notice as he's tagged in. And he's very good .
  7. So to answer your original question - yes it looks like a bug to me. I don't work for BFC of course and I'm not sure of the best way to log it with them. Perhaps I can invoke the power of @BFCElvis to advise or log it (if it isn't already). Thnaks in advance John.
  8. And some further results which go with what you just said- a Straggler HQ can spot the units behind the bunker. So can a Straggler unit. And they can both target them, but never seem to fire. Very wierd.
  9. Okay, the plot thickens, here's my version of your setup: As you can see, my FO team can 'see' the Soviets behind the bunker, even though they're looking the other way (which they would be of course) . There are no other Germans on the map. And judging by their smiles, they obviously know something we don't. At the back of the bunker there is a closed door and some sort of ventilation shutter, but they surely can't be looking through those. Setting is Iron by the way, in case anyone wonders. Oh and I ran the above without the FO team and the empty bunker never spotted a thing, so that part seems okay for me? But you originally suggested an empty bunker was spotting? Anyway, now to check whether other types of unit have the FO's superpowers...
  10. Good screenshot. In my rather brief tests I didn't see that, I assume it 'works' for other units than Forward Observers? Still shouldn't happen of course. So do you have any bunker mods installed as metioned earlier? I see you have the excellent JuJu's UI installed (as do I) so you must be a mod kinda guy .
  11. I get it, you were thinking of driving some of your Panzer IVs over my poor Americans in their foxholes?
  12. T'internet tells me 'Caine has never been good with accents and rarely bothers.' Apart from his own of course, he's pretty good at that.
  13. . If it works for you that's fine. In reality I'm a bit more northern despite what my location says. And you sound very Texan I'm sure?
  14. Except that I feel that Mr Burns may not be the only one burning.
  15. Yes indeed Phil, except for taking insurance - I don't get nothing mate. And if I was NHS, no insurance would be needed. Any thoughts on the bunker issue though as I'm well aware I may be wrong? On the plus side, the above testing involved some rudimentary AI planning in the editor and my curiosity is piqued. And you my friend are the man to answer any questions I may have .
  16. Phil, you sound like you need a distraction from all of this thinking. Call me with one of your lovely North Afrika H2Hs. Or anything else you fancy...
  17. or I think the pond is the divider, not Greenwich? Either way, we're all on the same side of the argument (I think).
  18. So I don't think I'm seeing that here. I first set up a string of AT and infantry bunkers, some empty, some with AT guns, a couple with infantry. Oh and a Panther turret bunker just for fun . Faced them all in the same direction and attacked them from behind with a couple of Soviet infantry platoons and three T34/85s. With either side human-controlled or AI-controlled, the manned bunkers only opened fire once infantry had started to get in line with or in front of their 'slots'. No fire at anything behind, and when I controlled the bunkers, I did not see anything behind me. I then set up a single empty bunker and just the Soviet infantry (to avoid the bunker blowing up too early). No spotting happened from the empty bunker. So perhaps your facings were not in the opposite direction? But I'm not sure about the empty bunker you said was spotting - facing wouldn't affect that. Perhaps something else that I'm missing? If you want to send me the QB file to have a look at just PM me for an email adress.
  19. Okay, I have a few things to do first but I'll fire up the editor later.
  20. So not a stock scenario? A Quick Battle? Just asking as it would save me the time to load up the editor.
  21. Which scenario did you see it in? I'll give it a go and 'observe' (pun intended).
  22. I can see the dog Phil . And I raise you: We could be the Cute Pussy Club? Send me a H2H and advice on which mods I should have (probably already have) and I'm happy to play you again my friend.
  23. I'm a bit late on this one, but aye bonny lad I can. I'm from just south of the border so it's nae problem.
  24. Haha, I learned Fortran once and my brain has since chosen to forget it. Anyway, I am with Dave on all of this. If only his SU100s would slow down a bit in our PBEM. But I digress...
  25. As reported elsewhere George, Cat and Mouse is another fine masterpiece - your art and skills are undiminished. But why didn't I take any screenshots - d'oh!
