No, this is not a permanent practice, sometimes such a method of landing is practiced. This method was created for wartime during the Cold War.
Honestly, mass airborne assaults are parachute out of date. The last more or less successful parachute landing was in Iraq in 1991. But in the airborne troops in different countries this is preserved as a tribute to traditions. In Russia, the airborne troops are the role of rapid reaction troops, as in other countries. The airborne force in fact became just an light infantry. Several years ago, even in motorized rifle troops began to practice tactical assaults on helicopters, company-battalion.

From the bottom of the Barents Sea still got tanks by lend-lease. Most likely will be restored.

    John Kettler,

It's video surveillance itself to prevent any attacks from outside. In fact, over the past 10 years, especially the last five years, the RF army has radically changed.
I paint the model roughly, with a brush. Friends say to buy a painting machine, but my hands do not reach it. I know that it will be more beautiful.

Tank from Deagostini, collected 14 months. Housing metal + plastic, metal tracks, inherent sound engine immitations, turret revolutions and shots. The control is available on the radio channel and wifi, the video channel is available via wifi. Turn the tower only 270 °, vertical guidance 5 °. Caterpillars lack grip on the snow, in the summer on the ground the tank behaves better. I'm already thinking how it is possible to modernize caterpillars.

Somehow with a friend who introduced the series of СM discussed that it would be better to make a game about a hypothetical conflict between the Treaty of Warsaw and NATO in 1980-1985. I think many would like this game. When there was parity between the sides was equal, and modern systems only evolved.

Those are some pretty convincing P. 3's by movie standards. It's also really good to see a model '41 T-34, most you see in movies are the 85s. Camouflage is a bit crazy, like CoH 2 micro-transaction specials. Much like actors and actresses in movies, tanks need their make-up. I am also glad that the Russian film industry doesn't shy away from certain historical symbols that are often associated with Germany of this time. I like that they got they used the right sights for the German and Soviet gun optics.
A pet peeve of mine are how tiny battles are in these movies. This one feels kind of silly, in that regard. Soviet village in the middle of nowhere, and everything happens within 50 square feet. A single T-34 by itself? Not part of a platoon or company? Lame. Tanks facing off like Nick Cage and Travolta within 5 meters of each other, and getting ricochets from the looks of it? I see we have Brad Pitt returning as bedraggled tank commander.
I'm guessing this is going to be a lone T-34 taking on an entire division? Nice infantry costumes, though! I probably won't see it, unless I have absolutely nothing to do. I saw White Tiger -- much of mystical nonsense and a few good tanks. Why can't they make movies like Liberation, or that film about the SU-100s?

I'd buy that in an instant.
TBH once CM:SF II is out I won't have much use for CM:BS.....Maybe a Vehicle Pack might rouse some interest, but only if it would allow me to model conflicts other than the default one.

    John Kettler,
I told you about my military service 4-5 years ago when I was describing the TOE of a motorized rifle company. At moment, I military service in motorized rifle troops as the commander on motorized rifle company on IFV. Video surveillance is such a good addition to ensuring the protection of the military unit itself, in addition to personnel who carry guard duty. Video surveillance is such a good addition to ensuring the protection of the military unit itself, in addition to personnel who carry guard duty. Dead zones of video cameras also can not be avoided, because the personnel are checked every morning for bruises, etc. At the same time, if a doctor finds a mutilation from a soldier, he will be rewarded with a bonus, and the commander will be deprived of it and even reprimanded in a personal file. This creates a situation in which the commanders, closely monitor the discipline of soldiers. Yes, John Kettler, you are right, I meant that the crews of cars are constantly in different fuels and lubricants and etc.
What about nutrition I'll tell in brief, the soldiers and officers it is the same. In the morning it is mostly porridges with meat products, boiled eggs, amlets, buns, butter and coffee or strong tea with milk. For lunch, two dishes always, different soups, and the second is a boiled or fried meat product with a garnish. Plus salads and compote or juice. For dinner, there is also a fried or boiled meat product with garnish, bun, butter and tea. The menu changes constantly every week.
P.S. On Thursdays in the army this is a fish day, this means that one of the dishes for dinner will be fishy and dinner is the same.

You too are fond of modeling, I indulge in it the same way. But never engaged in soldiers, mostly only armored vehicles. Slowly I do this after the service. I gave many models to my fellow workers' children and some models I kept for myself. There is also a radio-controlled T-72 in scale 1/16, cars M20 "POBEDA" and ZIS-110 in scale 1/8, ZIS-110 in the assembly stage. I really want to collect a Star Destroyer "Venator" sometime.

CMBS: T-64BM “Bulat” Digital Camo By Oleksandr
The T-64BM Bulat is a Ukrainian upgrade of the ageing Soviet T-64B main battle tank.
In this mod I reworked and retextured many things. I hope it will serve you as a good addition to your collection. Enjoy.

Shturm-S or Assault-S or under NATO classification AT-6 Spiral, is an AT missile system (developed and produced in Soviet Union in 1976) painted in Ukrainian Digital Camouflage.

Works perfectly against any kind of light armor. Yet, if you want to use it against tanks – try to hit their side armor (avoid putting them directly in front of your enemy).

Gentlemen my Digital Camo mod was updated to version 1.1
    Changelog
    Fixes
Gorka Uniform is completely reworked and now looks like this:

Camouflage MM-14 was reworked for a better quality as well – now its prints (size, scale, order) are more accuratly represented.

Overall appearance was changed towards HD quality – better textures were used in this version.

To make this mod work you need to delete previous version of it. This is version 1.1.

Well I wouldn't call it a full blown mod, but the tools are certainly superb. What I would call a mod is what I am working on right now - which is the 6B48 crew individual protection kit. Once it is done I will release it, the AKS-74U fix for Ru force and the 6Sh122 kitted infantry (like the pic above) all in one pack. While I was on the fence about the 6B48 initially as it is used only in several formations atm (all western MD but the arctic brigades) but there is no way to assign different crew models to different vehicles and the 6B48 provides something fresh for the game.

    Howdy.

    Happy Friday.

I have converted 85 of the Red Thunder QB Maps not found as duplicates in CM Black Sea over to be usable in CM Black Sea. All are ready to go as you can imagine.
AI plans are not perfect as they are designed for WW2 combat, but they are workable and more content is always a bonus right?

All credit for original creation and distribution of these maps goes to BFC.

    CMPzC Operation Donetsk "Little Stalingrad"
Anybody interested? Read on and PM me if you want to enlist into the development team. I have some folks already onboard.

I envision 2 teams. Ukraine Army vs. Separatists. Each team has a CO making the operational decisions and then the CM battles go to his stable of PBEM foot soldiers. The CM battles will be fought with units made from real world OOB and TOE. These will not be quick battle points types of CM battles. Yes, you may be called upon to defend a hex with just your platoon against a company assault. We’ll use “leader units”. We’ll have “Action Cards”. There will be some appetizer mini-battles prior to the official kick-off party.
    Needed:
    A.  CM Mapmakers!
    B.   Operational Map designers!
    C.   Modmakers!
    D.  OOB experts for this specific conflict!
    E.   Unit Counter artists!
    F.   CM Battle designers!
    G.  Beer and sandwiches!

The starting point will be my usual 10-10-10x10 sanity maintenance protocol. Max of 10 turns of 2 hours each, maybe spread over 2 days. Max of 10 units per side. Op map is a max of 10km x 10km. This can all be dialed down smaller if the interest is not adequate to support even that.

The above plan is mine and is subject to any good ideas coming in to correct my misconceptions and make things better.

    ETA: none at this time.
