  1. I think that we have to be grateful that no one on the ground was killed or injured as has happened at air shows in the past.
  2. A tragic event marring this Remembrance weekend.
  3. A Level 0 view would be good. I'd also like to be able to stop HQ and FOs from going prone when I want them to spot stuff.
  4. Elizabeth says that chocolate upsets the stomach, although I've always found the offerings from the Birdcage Bordello most agreeable.
  5. It's always good to see the phrase "utter tosh" being given an airing.
  6. A screen shot or two would be helpful. It normally takes a few minutes for them to deploy in buildings.
  7. OK So this post-war but what the hell? Play LOUD!
  8. I think that it is safe to assume that @BFCElvis will not be singing in any of the battle pack scenarios. But he was brilliant in Brokkers Park at the 2nd Anti-Nazi Carnival in 1978. Hopefully that comment won't offend the haters of political correctness who sometimes infest the forum.
  9. The only problem with "Endeavour" is when they refer to Double Diamond as a lager which they have done on more than one occasion. The late great Colin Dexter wouldn't have made that mistake.
  10. Hahahaha. Yes, give it a go. Just cuz it wasn't my cup of char, that doesn't mean other won't enjoy it.
  11. I gave it a try. But sadly, just like "Poxy Bleeders", it's garbage. Aunty did make an excellent series about the early days of the SAS many moons ago. It would have been better if they had just sent someone into the archive to hunt it out, and given it a digital makeover. Ho hum.
  12. Multiple choice question. A. For Hell to freeze over. B. Christmas. C. For "It'll be ready when it's ready" to arrive.
  13. I think playing against the AI is probably easier than playing against a human opponent. In addition, the German counter-attacks came at just the right time for me. I won't go into too much detail regarding them for people who haven't played it. Also, because the Victory locations are so small you can grab them just by bypassing many of the Germans.
  14. I think Johnnie Lenin said that they were neither mods nor rockers, but mockers.
  15. Just to clarify. Objectives held Germans 4 out of 5 = 2000 points Noddlehead 6 out of 6 = 2900 points Casualties Germans - KIA 343 WIA 193 MIA 32 Tanks 0 AFV 0 Soft skinned vehicles 3 Noddlehead - KIA 54 WIA 38 Tanks 3 AFV 3
  16. Yes, the counter-attackers died in droves. And I enjoyed the fight. But was a bit surprised that the Germans still held five or six objectives despite the fact that I had secured all of mine. I think the final points score was Germans 2000. Me 2500. Although ale has been taken since the battle ended.
  17. OK so this is Hamburg 1962 rather than the Ardennes in '44. But what the hell?
  18. Neues Reichskanzlei completed. Noddlehead's Narodniks only managed a Minor Victory despite taking all of their objectives. It turned out that Mad Addy's blokes had loads of hidden objectives. A bit gamey, but "c'est la guerre", as Chuck Berry once said. No, hang on that's wrong ain't it?
