  1. Her finest hour. Lizzie Saxe-Coburg und Gotha gets presented to "The Guv'nor" Ken Colyer at The Royal Festival Hall 14th July 1951. As for her being the "First Lady", she wasn't. That title goes to Billie Holiday as Margaret Rose would have been happy to tell you if she was still with us.
  2. I think that the video is a tad misleading, as it looks like the OP was using "Artificial Night Lighting", so we obviously have a much better view than his troops do. And I think that the outbreak of friendly fire is understandable, if somewhat annoying. With regards to the scenario as a whole, given that our colonial convict cousin was going for "50% Hollywood", I think he did a good job
  3. Elizabeth lifts her eyes from this morning's Whitehall Gazette, and groans, "Oh, no. Another bloody Charles. I suppose you'll be wanting me to go and see Mrs. Axeman."
  4. Very true. And even worse on a small battlefield in low light conditions. I just wanted to planes to F%*& off.
  5. Friendly fire has always been in the game. But it occurs pretty rarely, and usually at night. When I played this battle, I was struck by how often it broke out. Although I don't think it was down to a change in the way the game engine works.
  6. We have issues in our local park. This one proved problematic when I tried crossing it on my bike in the early 70's. Ah, we were all so much younger then.
  7. I think it is time to pay due "Homage to Aberdonia", as George Orwell once said, allegedly.
  8. Yes, I agree. When I made my previous post I had only had time to check Battle for Normandy. Last night I took a look at RT and couldn't find anyway to download these two scenarios, perhaps @Bootie could check them out.
  9. If the grey button with "Download" in white lettering is missing, you can still download a scenario by clicking on the red text. Hope that helps.
  10. If you have a problem you can always send Bootie a message either via his profile on here or on the few good men. He's a good bloke and should be able to help fairly quickly..
  11. There have been plenty of threads about this subject over the years. And plenty of disagreements.
  12. Ah, but were you combining your long hair with wearing a red and white striped shirt? I've heard it could be a tad dangerous in Geordieland. Meanwhile, getting back to Berlin. I see that Viktoria lost 0-1 at home to Babelsberg today, the Princess will be disappointed (that's one for our younger readers).
  13. Yeah, there was a rail strike on. So I had to walk from Brixton to Victoria, and spend the night in the coach station. Nowadays, I get out of puff walking to the shops and back. Ho hum.
  14. It would have been 1982, either 14/15th July. I saw them at The Fair Deal in Brixton a few nights before. God, I still had enough hair to "Spike" back then. Drowns in wave of nostalgia.
  15. Anyone waiting for new releases and definite info should bear in mind what Elvis said back in '78, "Accidents Will Happen".
  16. Nah, but I observed him in action a few times.
  17. @wombleDoes make some good points. But, one can't help but ask, if Dickie Guy had hidden away how could he have saved Lorimer's penalty?
  18. Very true. Hence my use of the word "places", rather than place.
  19. Take as long as you like over the Set-up Phase and study the map intently. Plane your route of march, and the best places to locate your heavy support elements and your FO. Take advantage of dead ground when moving the bulk of your forces, and always have some scouts well out front.
  20. You are quite correct about the stay at the castle. But, I must take exception to your use of the word "shenanigans", I think that you meant "military masterpiece".
  21. No, much younger, just don't tell Elizabeth.
  22. Hahahahaha. You got old Noddle Head bang to rights. Although in real life, the last time I was in Yorkshire was 2000 when an old girlfriend was taking me to the Lake District.
  23. Having had a problem with a bridge bug whilst playing "Night at the Opera" as the Russians, I'm taking a break from Berlin to give "The Road to Minsk" a whirl. But, I'll certainly be keeping an eye on this thread.
  24. There was a thread about these tanks some years back.
  25. AKA a huge exercise in traffic management. I wish you luck with it.
