    So i decided to try modding some of the Russian/Ukrainian firearms, not going to call it a mod just yet because i can't guarantee ill get far with this one (like most of my others ) but so far i like the results...
     
    Here is the older AK-74, RPK-74, and AKS-74u which all share the same textures. Deep red Russian laminate stock and polymer mag but thats what i like...

     


     
     

     
    Still have to do the folding stock and figure out how exactly the brake on the "Krink" is textured...

     
     
    I also have done a new makarov but have yet to find it in the game  . Keep you guys posted on any more progress

    Ported, overhauled and added to, here is my CMBN tree mod tailored for CMBS. Thins out the leaves and sharpens the bark for a more natural look. All files are non brzed, so you can keep what you like and delete what you don't. In addition to the trees and hedge being reworked, I've also included three tweaked ground textures designed to go with this mod (grass, yellow grass and grain). I didn't care for the default grass texture, so I took the one from BN and edited it to fit the aesthetic of BS. The grass texture and distant ground texture are the same lending to a more seamless appearance between map and world box.     That will be great. I expect Polish / German (and British / French also if possible) as Nato pack. Specially Polish army will be interesting, since they mixed eastern + western weapon systems nicely. I can't wait to see Leo 2 + Twardy operates together. (Of course we have German leo2, too)  Also, I want to see Armata tank. 2017 would be enough time to see Armata in action.

    Favorite Combat Mission since CMBB. I really enjoy Red Thunder too, but Black Sea is simply awesome. It might just be me, but it also seems like it's a little better optimized, too.

    Sounds in actual use. Bradley machine gun is awesome. In my opinion, the under barrel grenade laucher pop sound is little too arcade, it is not present in this video. Not sure about the Bradley main gun, it would sound more serious, if used more cracking sound(?)
    what is in use now, sounds little too soft and bassy(?) It sounds like somebody is drumming big barrel.
     
    Explosion sounds are very good. Infantry weapons, awesome!
     
    I am using Mord´s vechile radio chatter mod, it fits in this mod very well!

    Hmm I am definitely not a Putin fan, but I don't see why it is so hard to admit it when the Ukrainians suffer a blow.
    I mean you can have sympathies for the Ukrainians without letting it get in the way of an objective military assesment.
     
    Basically when the separatists fail to take Debaltseve, they are useless and incompetent and weak.
    When they seize the town, they are equally as hopeless and it somehow becomes a tour de force achieved by the Ukrainian military.
     
    I don't know I am just thinking you maybe rate one side a bit too highly as far as military capabilities are concerned and the other side too poorly.

    You missed the main point, Putin and his proxies now stand clearly exposed for the liars they are. They never intended to honor minsk2. Even while signing the paperwork they were preparing this offensive. Hope Putin enjoys his victory as now that Germany and France have burned all their credit in the EU trying to negotiate it is going to fall to the rest to start with the only option Putin has left the west, start arming Ukraine to win this war. The war hawks in the west now have political leverage they needed. Putin really is a mediocre strategist at best.

    Sounds good, mostly. Incoming artillery seems to come little too early before the blast. There is like 1-2 seconds pause between incoming sound and in the blast.
     
    Explosions seem to sound very good, weapons too. I tested little QB battle with inf only, so many people participated to fighting that I did no have time to listen specific voices, only the chaos of the combat and it was... noisy. I think it should be noisy  
     
    When infantry stack up, they start orchestra of their own. This is good and bad same the time. When examining single/two squad action, it is very immersive when soldiers react orally to the battle. When there is much of soldiers, it starts to sound silly, when every guy remember to inform there is artillery incoming(with same sound file) etc, but hey, it is not modders fault/problem!
     
    I like these sounds. Going to test more, and give some feedback if I find something. I like your CMRT soundmod also. Thanks Waclaw!

    ​Just added to the repository and so hopefully available in the next 24 hours.
     
    Two very simple alternatives for the ingame roadsigns. These were designed with no more intent than to add an element of colour and interest. Hence they may not be geographically accurate.

    Rename the preferred texture to roadsign.bmp and add to mods folder or activate via a tag.

    Hi all,
     
    I've been plugging away at a National Training Center terrain mod over the past couple days, and I finally feel complete enough to post it and get feedback. Even though CMBS is set in Europe, with the magic of mod tags we can take our M1s and T-72s and throw them against each other in the desert of California. For those not familiar with what NTC is, it's a US military training center in the desert of California, and for the last 25+ years has been the premier center for armored manuever training. For many years an NTC rotation was the "superbowl" for manuever commanders and a poor showing could end careers. Literally hundreds of battles have been fought over and through the manuever corridors of NTC, and almost every major pass, important terrain feature or passible wadi has a unique name that is unforgettable to those that have been there. A quick google search can pull up a myraid of "war" stories that are prime material for CM scenarios.
     
    The terrain is mostly a mashup of tiles from CMSF, CMFI, CMRT and my own terrain mods. I've tweaked the colors so they all blend. You can also obviously use this to model any sort of desert type environment, but it's intended to replicate NTC. It's not 100% complete, but enough is there to create something that hopefully looks like the California desert. As I'v'e only had the pleasure of visiting NTC once, I'd love feedback from those who've spent more time in the box on how close I've replicated the look and feel of NTC.
