  1. You know, I wondered about this for ages and never caught on until now. Cool!
  2. I was at the Pegasus bridge location in the late 90s and by that time the original bridge was long gone.
  3. I'd like to see something demonstrating this. A video would be awesome, so that I can look for it better. I'm playing a battle against IanL right now in CMFI and have not see this happen. Is is it very rare?
  4. Price can be a thorny issue, because everyone has different budgets, expectations, perception of value-for-money and so on. You already know you like the game, as you tried the demo. So the question appears to me to be "is it worth the price" to get all the features and capabilities. I'd say it depends on how much you see yourself playing. I got it I 2012 and am still enjoying it and finding new and creative challenges with the several people I play against. I can't think of a better return on investment because I have countless hundreds of hours of entertainment from it, and its brethren. I can't speak about live play against a human, only by Dropbox exchange of turns, and for me that is perfect multiplayer. I don't have to be present at the same time as someone else, we take our turns when convenient. We share ideas for new battles, and spend hours making them into something unique, whether it's a test of a particular tactic, or an attempt to experience a situation we read about happening in WW2. On some level it's a sandbox, letting you make what you want. If you like that, it's not going to disappoint.
  5. I regularly go back to this thread, it has so much information. You actually get more out of it the more experience you have as you start understanding nuances in how C2 works.
  6. I think you just said the key thing (above, italicized) right there. What you've done is a monumental amount of work. Never mind that you're still doing what anyone else would be: playing the game to win. Nice job!
  7. For Mac users there are some options: Command-Shift-3 while capture the full screen. No plug-ins or additional software required. Plonks it on your Desktop for editing or whatever you wish to do. Capto is an app that does the same thing but also captures video with in-game sound. And allows for voice-over if you have a mic on your computer. Cool for making vids.
  8. That's a brilliant shot. In black and white it could be confused for original war footage. Well done.
  9. Well that's interesting to confirm. I had a suspicion that it might make a difference simply because they cost more and I figured BFC would not have that happen if it wasn't actually significant.
  10. Same here, Rocketman. After playing Air Supriority on paper, FC2 cane out and blew my mind. ABC it even had PBEM!
  11. I think it's actually in the Steam preferences, Michael. I'm on a Mac too and I never have Steam start unless I'm about to run something in it. If you don't find it, shoot me a PM and I'll have a look for you when I'm home.
  12. Thanks for the link. That was a great little video! Makes perfect sense that the font used was selected for its legibility on poor quality paper back in the day.
  13. Not to worry, I didn't take it as anything other than someone wanting to be helpful.
  14. Good point! I'll see what I can do to differentiate some of the weapon sounds further. Rat-tat-tat seems too laconic to be an MG42 as well! Delighted you enjoyed the comic!
  15. Nice one Rinaldi! The shermans in the lead as so close together it appears as if they are one tank with two guns like:
  16. Thanks, Gnarly! Glad you're enjoying it! it was a busy weekend so I only have one panel completed to post. I'll try to get more done later today.
  17. What is hidden on the other side concerns me... Despite knocking out a bunch of vehicles, new ones keep popping up. Is it only a question of time before a Crusader or Matilda show up? Yikes! @kohlenklau's mod is really great - he made backgrounds for Africa that really work well with the terrain. It certainly exceeded my expectations for visuals.
  18. Elst, September 1944 - Battle of the Windmill. - from an upcoming panel in The Good Old Days comic.
