  1. That file sounds like an upgrade or patch. The full installer will not ask to be in the CM folder - as there would not be one.
  2. Wow! Fantastic. I had no trouble orienting myself or following the action. Brilliant work, perfectly complemented by your very nicely processed screenshots. I particularly like how you described the tank-on-tank action. Witty and tinged with just the right amount of pathos.
  3. I’ve only been using Safari so I can’t advise about FF. But I’m happy to hear you can access your account after all.
  4. To my knowledge, yes, it has a link to a sharefile folder with multiple sub folders. You want the folders with “Full,” not upgrade.
  5. Yes, that is correct. It should be one of the purchases. I looked at the main page on Battlefront.com. You can actually see the announcement of the 4.0 upgrades exactly one year ago, December 2016. So the purchase of the upgrade must be no earlier than that. And it could be a bundle, or each game separately. But I see no way around it except to go in your account and click “View” for every purchase starting at that month. Given there would only be a maximum of 7 items, it should be quick to do. If you see nothing mentioning 4.0 upgrade, is it possible you didn’t buy it? If you’re certain you did, contact Helpdesk and they will get you sorted out I’m sure.
  6. I think you do have to go through the purchases list. I can’t recall if the bundle came first or the individual 4,0 upgrades. but if you look at your purchases in reverse order you should be able to click on each, and see what it is for, and if it’s not 4.0 you go back and look at the next, and so on. It’s what I did.
  7. The all in one stuff is under the 4.0 upgrade. i bought the big 4.0 bundle, so that one purchase has a link that takes me to a page where there are folders for all the CM games and their respective installers. Note that there are full installers and 4.0 upgrade installers (for those who only wanted to upgrade). You’d only need the full one, not the upgrade, if you’re starting from scratch. Edit: so aside from the CMBS battle pack, if you bought the 4.0 all game upgrade bundle like I did, it would either the last purchase or if you bought the battle pack, the second to last purchase, most likely.
  8. I think one of them - CMBS (?) may have a patch to apply after you’re done with the big installer. But I can’t recall for certain. Still, ‘‘tis a lot easier than it used to be.
  9. Just the one big 4.0 installer. Went through this a few weeks ago helping a friend, so I know it works. You will need all your licence keys
  10. Glenn, If you have version 4.0 for any of the CM games, you should be able to go into your Battlefront.com account, and download the all-in-one .dmg installer for the game you wish to install. That is my understanding. I expect Helpdesk will confirm that. Then you’d need to run the install file, then enter the licence keys for each module in the game to complete activation. So the loss of the PC should not have any impact - at least in terms of installing CM. If I’m wrong on this I’m pretty certain Helpdesk will find a way to make it work for you. They’ve been superb every time if dealt with them. How nice, another member from Ontario. There are quite a few Canadians on this forum, and a lot of those are from Ontario. I actually live not far from another member, @IanL so we play by email and get together to chat about our battles. Welcome to the forum, by the way. Also, check your messages here in the forum.
  11. Yes, the download is a .dmg file (I’m a Mac user too). It is a native MacOS format. Battlefront’s owner is a Mac User. Like you, I’m not on High Sierra, just Sierra at the moment. But I know some beta testers are on High Sierra, without issues. You should be able to change display profiles, as far as I know, without trouble. Custom profiles are, to my knowledge, selectable with a simple drop down menu. At least, that’s how it is on my Macbookpro. I’m a photographer too so my calibrated display has its own custom profile that I can change at will. Now if you have the CM games for PC, but kept them current, I believe v4.0 has a .exe and a .dmg installer (in other words, today’s installers are available for both PC and Mac). I don’t want to give false hopes, but before you spend money, I’d recommend contacting help desk, explaining your situation (going from PC to Mac) and ask if repurchase is required. You have nothing to lose. Here is a link: Helpdesk
  12. Agreed. My display is 2880 but I play at 1440. There’s no reason one can’t make a quick adjustment to resolution.
  13. That’s great news! I’m happy I could help you out.
  14. This may be relevant to your situation: Black Screen on Mac
  15. Sorry it didn’t help, but the guys are helpdesk are very good.
  16. Mac terminal usually runs when you click on the Activate New Products shortcut. It is a script to run the activation panel where to put your licence key. in your case it sounds like you may have a problem I encountered. A good place to start might be following these instructions. Cool Helpdesk Link if that doesn’t resolve the issue, make a help desk ticket: Another cool link
  17. I started with an Apple II so no Commodore stuff. I did eventually get a PC and tried "Seal Team" I'm gonna send you a PM.
  18. Yep, have it, and the supplement that followed. IIRC I think I finally dug up a PDF version too.
  19. OMFG! I have the old VG “Vietnam” board game too, and like you I admired it but never got to play it. And I have Matrix Vietnam Game too! Haha too funny. In which case it sounds like our interests align, making me redouble my suggestion to have a look at Vietnam: A Television History. https://shop.pbs.org/american-experience-vietnam-a-television-history-dvd-4pk/product/WG26109
  20. Yeah, sorry, that wasn't schadenfreude, I was hoping you might be able to cancel in time. On the other hand, if I can suggest: have a look at Vietnam: A Television History (PBS). Worth the $ and time. I have it and Ken Burn's Vietnam, and will be watching the show you ordered, later on. It's interesting to see how each approaches the same subject matter. I saw 10000 Day War when it came out so I'm also curious what I will think of it now.
  21. It’s available for free on YouTube. It’s the 13 1-hour episodes rather than the 26 1/2 hour ones.
  22. You’re not the odd man out - better representation of fortifications is something I’d like to see as well.
