CM Final Blitzkrieg - AXIS (Attack) BETA Battle Report
Hister replied to Baneman's topic in Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg
Baneman, wow, what a courageous act going against the master of the art. Hope you've studied Bill's tactical content on his blog to have any chance of success! Sorry to say but not nearly enough armor to be able to beat Bill. When he pics off the little amount of tanks you have it's practically game over for you regardless of all your grunts. Good luck and let the games begin! -

Yes there is such a mod and CM movie makers are using it. Forgot the name but it should be something down the "no cross" name line. -

On-map 150 mm you mean GreenAsJade? Mine was shooting in a flat tajectory too and in the proces spent many cartridges exploding in the orchard in front of the gun. First spotting round was fun to watch - it almost hit the spotter, he he. I did have some success with the gun though since some granades did fall on the designated house where brits were interdicting my advance. Brit paras are so tough - I saw some instances where building colapsed and those damn buggers keep on shooting from it. It's really hard to supress them. You need to spend a lot of ammo to be able to do so when your assault element charges the perimeter, the ammo you don't have lots of available. Truck and halftracks that arrive later don't have much ammo so it's paramount you check the level of available ammo left on units and swap the ones who have it depleted with the ones who have lots or you end up charging with units who have nothing to throw at the enemy but their "johnsons". -
Send him a pm. Not sure if he is still active though.

Let's talk about the Road to Nijmegen
Hister replied to phil stanbridge's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Hasn't been mentioned yet but it should be revised 'cos of the "one spotter one mission thing" that got introduced in later game versions which makes for some unintended tough mission play due to time constraits kind of a thing. Am holding on starting the campaign. Haven't finished the Road to Mounterbourg yet for god's sake. ;D -

Gosh, only now realized this gun can be used as an on map asset ready to receive tasks from artilerry spotters. Now that makes much more sense now. Awesome! -

Aha, ok. Will try to set it up on a spot where it could hopefully fire on the houses that Brits occuppy. If someone starts shooting on them (which will happen 95%) I'll hopefully have my other units be able to return fire. But it's so hard to surpress them lads... -

Jon, how should I as German player against AI best utilize the 150mm gun attached to the truck? How do you use such assests offensively? -

Bil, you are Sun Tzu of Combat Mission. -
It's time any of the insight guys put up the reasonable request (of actually pausing the clock at the setup time) to the devs then.

Hister replied to Derfel 2nd's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
gnorffy, you have the all in one installer fir cmbn which includes both modules, vehicle pack and all the patches. Then you have to activate your two modules and the VP and you are good to go. All in one installer can be downloaded under the link to your 3.0 engine purchase. No need to go through the old step by step installation hell. -
