  1. Steve, you are way too modest and no, I hadn't RT in mind. I'll tell Huffpost journalist she will have bigger chances of getting you to speak if she ties more of her interview to CMBS. It would make for an interesting piece.
  2. Vein, weren't you the one who made original uniforms for this title?
  3. Steve, would you be willing to give an interview about your Ukrainian war expertise for any noticeable newspaper? Your insights are of incredible value. That might attract some flak but there are positive benefits too in it I suppose.
  4. Played the Russians and firing tubes from the buildings sonetimes hurts the shooter ie. it becomes yellow and everybody inside the same room gets pinned. I think I'll start separating AT squad members from the rest of the team.
  5. If I would know that AMD FX 6300 sucked fro this game (if that proved to be true and not GPU giving me the issues) I wouldn't have purchased it - my rig was budget oriented so I went with that. I don't have any issues with other games I play with it but given I play CM titles the most I would in retrospect rather buy a good single thread performance CPU. I can't get myself a new CPU 'cos it would mean having to buy a lot of new components. For now I'm "stuck" with what I have but what I can do is get myself a new GPU - current one was ported over from my last rig. Are you sure my GTX 550Ti would enable me to play the game in best settings if CPU would be first tier Intel CPU? My drivers are always updated. Question for "million $": What average FPS's would I be getting if I play the game at best/best settings on huge maps with a lot of props and units on it with AMD FX 6300 and Nvidia GTX 960?
  6. Yeah I would thought so but my hardware combo FPS output doesn't agree with me. I always thought it is my GTX 550 Ti giving me low FPS and stuttering but I read here this game is a CPU bottleneck so I thought it's either my CPU or a combo of CPU and 550Ti not working together fine. I'm in the long process of getting myself a new GPU (that haven't really finalized due to my finances) but knowing low FPS count I get in the game might not be solely connected to GPU frightens me. It's a very valuable info that you need tier 1 CPU in order to be able to play this game at best/best settings! It's easier to understand what expectations one should have when he only upgrades his aged GPU. Haven't really noticed any real FPS boost from CMBN through CMRT to CMBS with my rig. So what tier/s should GPU be in (according to that list) if you have a tier 3 CPU and want to squeeze the most out of the game and what in-game settings should be optimum for such combo? Would tier 6 GTX960 do?
  7. Well, I'm afraid my AMD 6300FX CPU ain't really suitable for this game - I suppose it's my real bottleneck.
  8. Good, will check them out and pick my favorite.
  9. Yeeees, it's here! Thank you very much good modder. EdiT: Very good. I will use it as a staple terrain mod from now on.
  10. Yes, it's a neccessary evil that comes along free programs.
  11. Zane, don't use the resizer in paint. That will make screenshot ugly. In order to crop the screenshot ie: to cut away parts from it which you don't wanna have you have to find a crop button. It's in the shape of a rectangle and I think it says crop when you hoower over it. (Could someone make a screenshot for zane of where this button is in Pain 'cos I'm on my phone now and going to my job?) When you press it you can left click on the screenshot and drag your mouse. What stays out of the box you made gets cut off. When you are, done cutting it save it and then upload it to that site I gave you above following my tutorial. I knew you wouldn't give up.
  12. ever been in an army Zane? The sentence "I give up" does not exist there, only "keep on pushing" is allowed. Be careful when downloading free programs - oftentimes they come with all sorts of commercial-ware. Being especially focused on all the stuff that is being asked when you install it is important in order to avoid unnecessary hassle. . When you are done making the screenshots smaller in Paint go to this site. Register, then click on "Choose File", chose the screenshot you want to post on forum. You can also choose the "Resize" option to leave the screenshot in default size or make it smaller accordingly in steps. When you are done press the green "Upload now" button. When site is done uploading your image choose the link above which it says "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards". Copy-paste that link to this forum where you wanna post something and you are done. Don't worry, it's not a rocket science although it might sound like it. Courage!
  13. I wish it could be this simple - last time I tried pressing PRINT SCREEN it made crappy screenshots with not everything rendered on my screenshot of what I saw on my screen. There's a reason why everybody uses Fraps. Stick to it Zane.
  14. Zane, hi again. Here's the deal we gonna make. Make a screenshot with Fraps. Screenshot gets saved in the folder where you installed the Fraps program. It's in the folder called "Screenshots". When you are done taking screenshots with Fraps open the Paint program that you got together with your Windows. Go to "open" and pick a screenshot you want to use in that "Screenshot" Fraps folder. When it appears in Paint just go to "Save as" and pick a format (preferably JPG) you want to save the screenshot in. When saved screenshot will be of less size. Hope this helps you and you know: Never give up and respect to you to for playing this game at your venerable age.
  15. He he, gotta love CM physiscs! ;-)
  16. Can't use the quote option for the above text so that you don't wonder (am typing this on my phone).
  17. •Description: Background sounds without gunfight. Update 02/06/2015 : With Hister's suggestions and the help of Optimus: Night sounds were subdued - now they are on the same voice level as day sounds. Two versions of rain sound are available: With and without Thunder. *Keep the rain sound version you want by naming it "background rain" and you are good to go.
