mjkerner got a reaction from mbarbaric in And now.....
I like that this is basically a sandbox. And what a sandbox! Assuming NATO forces and Warsaw Pact forces eventually are added in modules, the sky is the limit. Stuff I do now in miniatures, like Iran-Iraq War, India-Pakistan, African Bush Wars, Vietnam, the Falklands, Ronnie and Maggie’s joint Invasion of Cuba (hey, it could have happened) are just waiting to be modded. Great times ahead!

Holy sh*t, this is even better than I first thought! While I have never been a big fan of a playing a face-off with Russia in the 80's, this will certainly get me into it. But even better, along the lines of what the Sarge is talking about, this will be a great sandbox for all my African Bush Wars and Arab-Israeli Wars stuff I've been putzing with (in modern day settings, of course) with CMSF2. Great times ahead for us and BFC!
If it was done that fast alongside development of Fire & Rubble and British MOD work, I can imagine when they get around to early WWII, they could cough up at least one title per year, at least. Maybe we'll get to the early war stuff before I croak after all!

That's all I'm saying, too!
And a Rhodesia-Angola-Mozambique-SADF module is the logical extension of that!

weapon, for the Germans, the FO sections are listed under Formations. Heer, SS and LW all have them. As far as I could ever tell, they act no differently simply because they are their own "Formation".

Yeah, tell em ChuckyCheese ...After all @LongLeftFlank, should know what AFV stands for as he has only been playing CM, John Tiller's (EastFront, Westfront), as well as other Military Board Games longer them some of these Forumites were even born.

Right, and now I see the kind of person you are.
Oh and I want to congratulate you, because in 20 years in this forum you are the very first person I am placing on my ignore list. Well done.

This is EXACTLY what @Bil Hardenberger's rules are designed to moderate.....IMHO they do a bloody good job of it too!

Even the picture doesn't help.....It's so blurred I can't read the text.

mjkerner got a reaction from Warts 'n' all in On map 75mm Guns
I exploded the scenarios from the campaign a long time ago, and forgot that the de-compiler numbers them starting with "0", so I was actually testing on Battle 8. Still can't figure out where I saw the stats for minimum/maximum ranges on these guns.

If you don't like the rules.. don't use them.
Any argument you may have to make is just getting lost in the noise of your rudeness.

mjkerner got a reaction from chuckdyke in Tank path finding problem - drives to water and becomes immobilized
The movement path is too close to the bridge. Bridges always pose problems for vehicles. Move that blue line out a couple of AS and there won’t be a problem, but within one or two AS of a bridge, vehicles usually will move erratically. Those light forest tiles probably aren’t helping anything, either.

CMA needs a game engine 4 upgrade to make it viable, IMHO. I’ll continue to dream on, only now with a little bit of hope!

mjkerner got a reaction from Warts 'n' all in tank crew should get back on...
Unless something changed in v.4, the Sarge is correct regarding tanks and AFVs. (I did my own testing a couple of years ago, mainly because some Jeeps and HTs have drivers, some don’t, and it can get confusing who can remount and who can’t.) You can’t recrew ATGs and infantry guns either once you bail them.

That's a cool way of handling it.
I know some Uncons who could benefit from creative ideas like that (& some radios)!
