  1. This week is last week's next week, but of course, now it's this week. So no, I guess it's not next week yet. Of course, when next week gets here, it will actually be this week, so I am beginning to think next week will never really get here.
  2. Er...this is a good start on the ACW: http://www.norbsoftdev.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=94:march-screenshots&catid=29:screenshots&Itemid=53
  3. Look for mods. I'll probably head over to Scheer's place for a while, then head home and fire up the game, pick a scenario at random, and just stare at all the yummy goodness.
  4. This thread was a bad idea, with a month yet to go. Reading about its yummy deliciousness is killing me.
  5. In CMSF playing agasint the AI, I just go into the scenario editor and add a couple of hours to the scenario, to ensure I have time to maneuver and complete things my way...good or bad. However, I don't think you can do that with the QB, though since I haven't fired it up in a while, I'm not sure about that.
  6. "improved map making UI" This would be really good, Steve. Making CMSF maps is certainly a chore... a happy chore, but a chore nonetheless.
  7. If I'm the sheep, I would still feel better being well-armed.
  8. I just pre-ordered. Worth the $70 for download and DVD. What...mostly a lurker, and I'm the first?
  9. "Breakthrough" with Frank Lovejoy. US Infantry in Normandy. It wowed me in 1950 at age 7. I've only seen it once since, about 20 years ago, and it was pretty damn good. Oh, and "Night of the Generals" with Omar Sharif. Not much action, though, because it's a murder mystery/detective story within the Wermacht about 1944, but the action scenes which I think were in the Warsaw Ghetto, was pretty good.
  10. I was thinking more along the lines of Carlos Santana: http://blog.celebrityseats.com/2009/04/07/carlos-santana-coming-to-las-vegas/ http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.scu.edu/ethics/architects-of-peace/Santana/resources/portrait_hr.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.scu.edu/ethics/architects-of-peace/Santana/homepage.html&usg=__RdPsxDlYrU4W44xevIobOUcrhTE=&h=370&w=298&sz=43&hl=en&start=0&sig2=ikx-0-3GTB1UckZtRmKHaw&zoom=1&tbnid=IMWEvCf9kxcRkM:&tbnh=153&tbnw=119&ei=xG5wTdLaGYS8lQew09A8&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcarlos%2Bsantana%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rlz%3D1R2GPEA_en%26biw%3D1497%26bih%3D938%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&oei=xG5wTdLaGYS8lQew09A8&page=1&ndsp=36&ved=1t:429,r:4,s:0&tx=50&ty=103 http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.thirdage.com/files/imagecache/350x350/files/CARLOS-SANTANA_1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.thirdage.com/movies-music-the-arts/carlos-santana-concert-woodstock&usg=__qseFtx6zgJteS3Dz3H-0PkMb0e0=&h=292&w=349&sz=20&hl=en&start=122&sig2=eI9-55Lso5g_dGHBz2W6bQ&zoom=1&tbnid=6Mt5rdkSXjIXRM:&tbnh=146&tbnw=158&ei=R29wTfO3BtK2tgem9rWKDw&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcarlos%2Bsantana%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rlz%3D1R2GPEA_en%26biw%3D1497%26bih%3D938%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=359&oei=A29wTZaOB4Odlgest9U_&page=4&ndsp=43&ved=1t:429,r:37,s:122&tx=113&ty=26
  11. cough *Repulse* cough cough *Prince of Wales* cough
  12. Steve, bodkin...next time I'll try not to count after a few Captain & Cokes!
  13. Steve, the 2nd module will be M-G? I thought that was 3rd or 4th, with the Commonwealth module 2nd. Or did I miss a change from/misunderstand earlier plans?
  14. All joking aside, sawomi got me thinking... Steve, if you are reading this, will there be the ability to set booby traps (not that different from IED's in CMSF) in some later iteration of CMx2?
  15. For those of you who were/are fans of IL2 Sturmovik...two weeks!
  16. Elvis, As a life long Packer fan from back in the Lombardi years, I'm sorry you wasted a whole day there instead of preparing our next DAR installment! I think I saw you in the stands. Go Pack!
  17. http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2011/01/dick_winters_of_band_of_brothe.html I hope it's OK to put this news here. It seems appropriate.
  18. Thanks Normal Dude...yup, I've had very, very many losses to insurgents in CMSF and everyone of its modules, and CM:A, and so am very familiar with Buddy Aid!
  19. Boy, good shots Elvis. Mouth-watering! One question: Alot of the GI's have a rifle slung on their shoulders while carrying one in their hands...are these just animations-in-transition captured in freeze-frame, or rummaged from Buddy-Aid, or a glitch?
  20. I'm loving every little bit of screenshot/explanation that Elvis and JonS are giving us through the AAR's. But I really like Gryphone's suggestion: "A picture speaks a thousand words sure, but a video speaks a thousand times a thousand...." Is it possible to put up a video on youtube of the action, or would that violate the NDA? Or has BFC/Steve already said no to that because the graphics aren't finalized? Just asking, not complaining one bit. After 40 years of wargaming, having ASL Live, so to speak, is making me want to hump someone's leg!
  21. Ali Baba, and I missing something? In CM:SF and all its progeny, I play RT only, and pause the game alot in order to collect my thoughts and issue orders, etc. I haven't played in about 6 weeks, but I'm sure my memory is still working (although I am having more "Senior Moments" lately) and I can pause the game at will. (Escape button,I think--I'm at work and can't check it..
