  1. Ironically, I finally deleted CMBB from my hard drive yesterday. I am still going to play CMAK though! I have become a bit too lazy to deal with the micromanagement required of the CM1 series, despite their fidelity. I still play TOW 1, but more for fun than serious simulation. I will typically load up one of the many scenarios in the extended editor, add some tanks and what-not, and let 'er rip. TOW 2 Afrika/Centauro and Kursk/Caen seem to up the ante. These are, IMO, easy to play (maybe too easy), but great fun. I couldn't imagine being without them, and the latter should appeal to most grognards, I think. Best to you
  2. I never bought the original, but now I'm hooked. I assume you will attract many other new buyers, as well. Great job, BF!
  3. Is the ME included in this release, or will it be included in a future patch? Thanks guys! Edit-- Sorry, just read Moon's post on the patch. Thanks.
  4. That's my potential problem--I never saved the executables on some of this stuff. So would have to re-download, but my downloads' expired. And my newer computer is acting unstable these days! I'm sure I could work something out with customer service if the worst were to happen. Thanks again.
  5. Well, we got what we wanted, Destraex1. Mission Editor = buy this game!
  6. Sorry, I shouldn't have used the word "crap." It is a fair system and better than DRM. I did have an issue once when the BF site said "my downloads have expired." Fact is, I have so much stuff from you, it just makes me nervous if my computer went south. Glad you are getting a small cut. I paid full price for all of them once, so lucky is the FPS guy that stumbles across these great simulations. Best to you, and sorry for my language.
  7. I already had everything but Caen, and yet I bought the Complete Edition (ToW 1, Afrika, Centauro and Kursk) and the Caen expansion for $20.25. The Tow1 editors never worked on my quad core, but the Steam version does! Also, if my computer dies, I don't have to worry about all the licensing crap. I will always have these great games archived on Steam. These games will sell like hotcakes on Steam, so 1C should be set. I just wish Battlefront would get a "cut." Then it would be good for everyone, right?
  8. Appreciate your thoughts, Eidolad. I've already picked up a few tricks from the posters. Keep 'em coming if you can.
  9. A very enjoyable read. Would also appreciate any additional comments from the other vets. Thank you!
  10. Is there any way to edit these campaign scenarios in the game editor? Thanks, and now back to your discussion...
  11. I went back to CMAK last night and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I guess the key thing is to continue to support the series despite the hard times for many of us. CMA is different in a good way. At $35, it is also an investment in the future. The posts are generally positive and seems people are taking the plunge. Way to go, BF.
  12. Thanks Brit, and sorry to hear about the wrist. I hope sales are moving more with the lower price.
  13. I agree with the OP. In most "series" games they don't bother to point out the differences. For $35, were probably lucky to get a full manual.
  14. Thanks Hoolaman. I need to spend more time learning EoS.
  15. Dumb question: I've seen all the patches and improvements since day one. Where are all these rules and feature changes documented, if at all? Thanks
  16. LOL regarding that previous post. I have been in the "industry" 20+ years and have not seen a dev more committed, disciplined and focused than Mr. Brit. He also takes unwarranted criticism very well. It's all good. FWIW, Brit was also highly praised by a dev on the Paradox forums. Way to go, sir.
  17. Very nice, especially the upgrading of units. Thank you.
  18. Thank you, hoolaman. EoS rewards creative ideas like yours.
  19. Good point on the time limit. And I imagine that wouldn't be too hard for the devs or someone to change.
  20. Again, I am just amazed at the support we get for this game. I hope the article in AG kicks up sales. I'm sure it won't hurt. Best to all!
  21. It's still a great game, guys. It's just not perfect. I know of some companies that would have charged $20 for this patch. Of course, also good to have you guys posting and keeping the devs on their toes! Best to you all
  22. Couldn't wait and re-installed. Everything went fine. You probably could have made the latest patch an expansion and charged for it. To your credit, you didn't. But keep the new games/expansions coming, and we'll buy 'em. Thanks again.
  23. Cool. Thanks guys. I will reinstall at some point. The new content is just too good to miss.
