  1. I can barely handle the game with a keyboard and 20" monitor. But I can see the cash rolling in for BF - and put toward PC development Will the iPhone version actually have an editor like the PC? Wow.
  2. I tend to agree. Without the editors, the game would be very limiting for me at least.
  3. I like them all for what they are. More like simulators of sorts. They have two editors, lots of content. And some lucky people (certainly not me) got the whole darn package of them for like $12 during a few of the Steam and GG sales. So not too much to complain about, in general, anyways.
  4. I haven't had time to play the game (what else is new?) but this makes me feel good. Thanks guys.
  5. I so expected a nude Santa's helper to jump out of the snowman. Good for you making it "G" rated.
  6. I never liked RT and too stressful now that I'm 55. But I may have to try it one day. Unfortunately, I also suck at the game in general.
  7. Glabro, Shogun2 was on GamersGate last week for $15. But I expect it to be lower on Steam come the holiday season. Don't forget to go to the TW website to pick up some mods.
  8. Nice of you to offer that to people, jon j. I feel a bit guilty buying games when there are so many needs out there. Fortunately, our hobby is pretty inexpensive. Like Shogun2 for $15 last week. That's quite a game, but still like SC2+ better
  9. If I want the extra speed and bells and whistles for Gold, I will just have to fork over the $25. Too bad there's no discount for previous owners (hint, hint). Anyway, I would rather have a slow AI turn, than a dumb AI any day. I just multi-task while the AI is moving
  10. I am a BF game addict. But I can't do this one. The speed increase should be included in a patch. I have every game in this series up to now. All at full price, that's a lot of dough. Dare I feel entitled to not have to wait forever for AI turns to process?
  11. I will put up with the UI and less than stellar graphics. That is really a give-in in most hardcore wargames. But I find the scenario editor to be a thing of beauty. In fact, I can't think of a slicker one. Can you?
  12. Computer Gaming World was a good mag in its heyday. But even at 73%, somewhat critical publicity is better than none at all.
  13. I will need to check the site again. It showed $125. But thanks for the info!
  14. I remember the consumer versions of Steel Beasts. I was never that impressed. $125 for the Pro version scares the heck out of me without a demo or lots of screen shots. Interesting though, as I never knew it was available.
  15. It crashed on me after generating a battle in Korea during loading. Is this MP only? However, I didn't have this map for Kursk, so worked nicely there. Thanks!
  16. Thank you, Tartari. It would be nice if 1C showed as much devotion as you. Not one patch for TOW Korea. So it may be our last TOW game....
  17. Vincere, you are a patient man, and I hope it works out for you. I have every BF wargame, and I would be so screwed if my drive failed. Matrix, I believe, has no time limit with Plimus. Time to back up the hard drive.
  18. I had to google "troll" because I didn't know exactly what it meant. Don't worry, guys. If there was an 11th Commandment, I would have broken it. And, technically, I think I broke "the big one" as well. Nothing wrong with wargaming, though.
  19. Like many of you, I go back to CMBO on the Mac IIsi, and still play Flight Commander. I have CBMN and am currently saving the full-on experience for a rainy day. Dangerous, as I might not wake up tomorrow. I did learn a few valuable things about the new game from the front-end of this post, though. So not a complete and horrible waste. Steve happened to bring up a couple of serious issues above and beyond the game. These events just strengthen my faith. I can't share that faith with you--or the reasons for it--on this forum, though. Isn't it ironic we can spread all the hate we want, but not the Love. God bless all of you! There... I said it!
  20. I didn't know it was $25 at Battlefront. Yes, I would buy it right now, if I didn't have it already. That is the truth.
  21. Sorry to interrupt. Real dumb question. I declare war as German but can't do anything because of the demilitarized zone hexes. Could not find anything in the manual on those zones. Thanks.
  22. It's been a while, but... the only way I've been able to create new scenarios vs the AI (which is key for me) is to start a HtH game, give the AI all these detailed orders, and then play it a few days later. It works pretty well. As far as #9, there's no way it's worth $50. Sorry Major H. When it first came out, definitely. Google Armored Brigade and get a free game that's arguably better. But when TacOPs first came out, yes, I was in love...
