  1. Yup.....That's another one who'll own the lot within a year. Welcome (back) to the war!
  2. I've genuinely never used them that way.....Always scared they would get riddled!
  3. How? It doesn't cost any more and if it means Steve & Co. have a bit of 'fluidity' to make things happen, I'm all for it.....Christ I pre-ordered that POS Cyberpunk 2077 so whingeing about Battlefront's pre-orders would be downright churlish.
  4. That would be 'Galloping Horse Downfall' at a guess? Those Bradleys are mustard! I've commented before that it's questionable if the US needs Abrams if Bradleys really are that good.....Defeating multiple T-90s in a frontal engagement (when the T-90s knew where they were** and the Bradleys had already been plastered with 122mm PGM, so should have been in a bit of a mess). ** They all dismounted and went and looked, getting positive contacts.....But they still couldn't spot 'em with their thermals once they mounted up and attempted to engage (or not before the Bradleys took 'em out with a volley of TOWs)
  5. Try playing as the Syrians in CM:SF2. Then try playing as Uncons.....In a city. Underdogs is relative.....Every dog has his day.
  6. He did 'TOC' for CM:BS and 'Coup' for CM:SF2.....Both are utterly unique. He also has a pretty fully developed CM:RT scenario that is just waiting for the release of F&R.....I've tested an early iteration of it and once again it is very novel. Then there's this: That is not (completely) a mock-up.....You really can play 'Cops & Robbers' in CM(:SF2)! Compared to this, even @MOS:96B2P's earlier creations look pretty mundane.....It's a campaign and you can play either side (Cops or Robbers)! I've said it before and I will no doubt say it again.....Man's a fekkinn genius!
  7. Interesting choice.....Bit narrow in scope though.
  8. Older game with older code.....Tank riding was introduced with CM:RT and as CM:FB folowed that title it was included in that game. Whether it will be added to the other titles in future updates (Engine 5?) is in the lap of the gods.
  9. I just remember those huge wheatfields in CM:BB.....On fire from end to end!
  10. TBH I'd give that honour to their forward observers, with their binoculars & radios.
  11. I'm guessing this was long ago dealt with.....Ignore my waffle please.
  12. I wouldn't count on it as a reliable tactic.....I suspect that not finding 'that spot' might be the more likely probability.
  13. Not convinced that it should, for the Soviets at least. I could kind of accept it for the Germans, but TBH there isn't much evidence of them using 'forward air control' in quite the way the western allies did. From the accounts I've read of Schlachtgeschwader & Stukageschwader on the eastern front, they were either assigned targets at a much higher level or just assigned a sector and left to do their own thing (which is pretty much how things work in CM:RT now).
  14. Wow.....That is impressive. While it might not be quite as much work as some other branching options (as I've found out with my own attempts), the sheer amount of extra effort required to do that really does deserve comment.
  15. It is Holland. The Syrians & Brits are probably just tourists, looking for a quick spliff & a tour of the sex museum.
  16. In CM1 you could import your final turn into the editor and add fresh units for a sequel.....Damage to the map, wrecked vehicles were all preserved. IIRC fires went out though (but it was easy enough to start a new one).
  17. While I wouldn't object to seeing the delay return, I'd much rather see static campaigns with persistent map damage (and real fire too) first.
  18. Just a matter of time fella.....Eventually the itch to see Uncons or IEDs in action, or let an Abrams or T-90M loose on something, will need to be scratched. I was a dedicated WWII fan too.....It's how I know. PS - It was CM:A that actually did it to me.....It's only $25, I thought, what harm could it do? It would make a change etc. etc. So now I own the lot, just like you will.
  19. I wonder if translation isn't the issue here too, I suspect the author probably meant 'concertina-wire': https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concertina_wire Just got the wrong type of musical instrument.
