  1. Magnificent work. It all seems so easy until you start rotating & cloning them.....Then you press Ctrl instead of Alt or Shift and the swearing starts! & Posters! Don't even get me started on posters!
  2. @Suchy This site might be of interest too (if you haven't found it already), it has details of almost all of the StuGs provided to Finland: http://www.andreaslarka.net/sturmi.html I'm a huge fan of 'Sturmis' and this mod.
  3. That's already been done (for CM:BS, I thoroughly enjoyed the battle of Henwick Road).
  4. China's economy may soon face something of a readjustment.....Despite all the recent news about Evergrande, I hadn't fully understood the teetering insanity that is China's property market bubble, but I've been doing a bit of catching up. Utter lunacy!
  5. Worth listing (and/or correcting them)? Fixing them is the work of a few seconds once you know where the problem lies.....But for QB maps, I guess they all need to be fixed the same (ie: everyone needs to be using an identical 'official' version)?
  6. I don't do Qbs, but it seems utterly wrong that a StuG costs more than a Pz.IV.....I can't think of any reason why it should. I guess my calls would be: Yes No No FWIW
  7. Bloody freezing actually.....Also very good fun! All these new scenarios aren't helping my productivity.....Finished the map today, but then I got a bit distracted.....
  8. Afghanistan 1978-1992.....Or CM:A2 as it might also be called.
  9. It's a great little campaign.....I got realy attatached to my pixeltruppen, every loss was deeply mourned. @puje has also made a similar campaign for our Pseudo-Vietnam mod 'Heaven & Earth'.....If you are enjoying 'Valleys' I'm sure you would enjoy 'Year of The Rat':
  10. @37mm Might be updating the files? Haven't heard from him in a while TBH.
  11. One thing that may be worth adding (it confused me in my first efforts), is that reinforcements will only ever appear where you place them in the 3d editor, it is not possible to paint setup randum setup locations for reinforcements in the 2d editor.
  12. They would be equally effective in Iron Mode, you just wouldn't be able to see it. You suspected wrong. Trying to take out a point target with a Katuysha and then basing any sort of conclusion on the apparent outcome is sheer lunacy! PS - @chuckdyke I'm not trying to get at you dude, but you keep making authoratitive sounding statements about the games that are not supported by the facts. As I've said before, the best way for you to get your head around all of this is to open up the editor, make a single player vs. AI scenario and then test it to death. You'll learn a lot more about how the game actually works and we'll have gained another scenario designer.
  13. With his 22.50 roads? I'd be keen to see that variant too.
  14. Dune > Foundation. Films based on Asimov stories usually disappoint: I liked the 1984 film too, the special effects were staggering (especially the battle scenes) for their time. "Dune required 80 sets built on 16 sound stages, and had a total crew of 1,700, with over 20,000 extras." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dune_(1984_film)
  15. We know how this ends: 'Your city.....We broke it!' PS - Those are fairly late production IS-2s, they've been in existence for maybe nine months.....Just look at the state of them!
  16. Time compression is often the issue IMHO (it's massively exaggerated in my CM:SF Mosul scenario). Most players don't wan't 'hours or days of boredom' interspersed with '10 minutes of madness', they want a nicely paced scenario that keeps them occupied from start to finish.
  17. WTF are you on about? Testing mode changes the visibility of enemy units to 'Always' thus rendering all the other C2 modes irrelevant.....It has no effect whatsoever on the behaviour of weapons, enemy units or indeed, the Tac AI**. Rather than waffling on about Engine 5, a few folk in this thread need to learn how the current one actually works. ** It acctually does have some minor effects, such as increasing the time it takes to perform buddy-aid, but nothing even resembling what is suggested by @chuckdyke.
  18. Don't worry.....We're all fine! TBH that isn't actually a pre-planned barrage (it's something much nastier than that), but its presence in this thread is no less appropriate than the silly comment that promoted it (not yours @IanL).
  19. Cool pictures.....I'm kind of interested in tabletop ACW wargaming (Perry Miniatures & Terrible Sharp Sword), so I'd love to see more.
  20. Why? Pre-planned barrges were quite complex by the mid-40s (ie: tne period of the current games).....The ability to adjust a preplanned barrage is the best way to simulate a rolling barrage.
  21. @rocketman is quite right, the houses on this map are properly borked! @IanL I think this may be one for you?
  22. I'm always messing with something in the editor, so I was struggling to come up with something different to what I'm currently already working on.
  23. Apparently Villeneuve intends to do the life of Paul Atreides, by my estimation that's three books, so not less than six films at the current pacing! Personally I've always wanted to 'God Emperor' done properly.
