  1. Indeed, and that's why, for instance, the wartime Lee-Enfield No.4. Mk.I*s dispensed with ladder sights and replaced them with a peep sight that could be flipped between 300 and 600 yards and nothing else. Knob-fiddling was (and is) for troops with scoped weapons.
  2. Right, and correct rank insignia for each soldier as well.
  3. That's it? You sure there's nothing else you want to ask?
  4. That is something I've been wanting for a long time as well.
  5. The Thompson does have it's own firing animations, and I believe the Sten does as well. Hopefully with the PPS-43 and PPSh-41 these were just oversights that will be corrected.
  6. Same sort of deal with the PPS-43: the soldier's hands are poorly positioned, with the result that his front hand is in front of the magazine and holding onto nothing, and his right hand is far too forward of the pistol grip:
  7. I've noticed that, when firing the PPSh-41, the soldier's left hand is holding onto...nothing, and his right hand isn't really positioned properly, either. It's as if the MP40 animation was re-used for this weapon. It sure would look better if he was holding onto the drum (as seen in the image below) or the portion of the stock just in front of the trigger guard. And, of course, it would look much better if his right hand was farther back:
  8. In certain situations and certain time periods, yes. By mid-1944, not so much. It wasn't out of sheer boredom that pretty much the entire German SchlachtGeschwader force was re-equipped with the Fw 190 F-8 in 1944.
  9. I don't think it will be long before we see Finland, given that they had a fairly substantial role, but that would probably require some new building models, along with the equipment that was unique to the Finns (various models of the Mosin, new MGs, SMGs, etc.).
  10. It'll go wayyyyy beyond that time, according to what I saw.
  11. Steve, any plans at the moment to add the sniper version of the SVT-40?
  12. At first, I thought that was a phone booth on his back.
  13. No worries. I'll manage in the meanwhile.
  14. Steve, c'mon. You know there's no such thing as a Nagant rifle. Even the title "Mosin-Nagant" is a Western construct and not one used by the Russians.
  15. Or you could just play the game and quit worrying about such things. It really isn't that hard.
  16. Buttoned does mean buttoned, or otherwise we'd be seeing Sherman TCs popping up to take shots with their .50 cal HMG when they've been given a Button order.
  17. ...and all of this is why the Allies developed mine-clearing tanks. Clearing a minefield is dangerous enough, but doing it while under enemy fire is even more hazardous. It sure would be nice if these sort of vehicles could make it in the game.
  18. The only downside to the new camera controls is that it's jarring going back and playing CMFI and CMBN with the standard camera controls. I'm really liking the fact that so many things can be done now with the right mouse button.
  19. Yes, that one is very hard to notice. I'm playing through the training campaign right now, and the objective zones are very hard to notice on the second mission.
  20. I noticed tonight that the SG43's muzzle flash graphic is not quite lined up with the muzzle of the gun:
  21. Tested this a bit further: unlike all other trucks, the Studebaker truck treats the passenger seat in the cab as the last passenger seat to be filled, while other trucks will fill the passenger seat in the cab first before putting troops in the bed of the truck.
