  1. I think you'll find a lot of the quick battle maps have simplistic urban terrain as the AI will not handle anything dense well.
  2. I assume so. I haven't seen what the final process will be on the whole upgrade/new title but the only thing the license will drive is your price/discount for CMSF2.
  3. Outstanding read, I have it on my kindle. I toyed around with it quite a bit, but on top of the items you noted, CM doesn't do caves, the mountainous terrain would probably be really hard to do as well. Shame as I got hooked on this book too.
  4. good thing it isn't the old mail orders days. LOL
  5. Boot CMRT in the lower right it should say v2.00 Engine 4.0.
  6. My suggestion is when you DL the game, copy it to USB. Then when you upgrade you can install direct from the USB (not necessary if you are keeping a hard drive from old pc).
  7. CMSF1 is completely unrelated to CMSF 2. You needn't have CMSF installed at all. It isn't an "upgrade" you are just being treated as an upgrade as a previous owner. Nice deal!
  8. The only place I have seen the Northern lights was at 35,000 feet on a flight from SFO to Europe. Freakin amazing and as I looked around the plane everyone else was dozing. I was so tempted to tell the stewardess Wake everyone up! then figured they'd probably just get pissed at me.
  9. Pffft I bought my house in San Jose in 2009 for 530k (it is public info) it is now valued at over a million. The house is single story 2 bed 1 bath 1000 sq ft on a 4000 sq ft lot. I could rent it for 3k a month. Welcome to Silicon Valley.
  10. Yeah I am sure at some point someone will do a side by side comparison to really show the improvement.
  11. And that is only 2! There are other variants as well.
  12. Open a ticket. Previously I'd have said the BP was loaded to the wrong directory but these days you are only activating, it is inherently part on the CMBS download.
  13. Consider the length of time of an a average CM scenario, you have to first know there are mines, explore the field, then remove potentially under fire. Before you go lifting at mines you gotta be sure you aren’t wandering among ap mines. I don’t think in that time frame it is truly realistic. I could be wrong, if you can speak from personal experience I could be swayed.
  14. What do you have against deadheads dude? Jerry lives!
  15. Did you just say you haven’t had a bath since 1988?
  16. Doesn’t look like anything to me a little westworld humor. Androids/hosts okay not funny. Sorry
  17. For want of a point a nail was lost, for want of a nail...... oh wait we don’t use horses anymore.
  18. Dang, not on kindle yet and it can be pretty pricey for paperback.
  19. Kieme’s textures still work and there are quite a few new ideas based on new terrain options. Think sewage mister civil works manager.
  20. I suspect that is just temporary while the new store is settling down and CMSF2 is prepped. Though it does beg the question - why would you want to? CMSF2 is soooooo much better and the price point for one who already owns the CMSF is really good. I plan to deinstall and wipe the old version from my pc. Feels bad to do it but I know I’ll never launch it again.
