  1. Either way no you can not add tall bocage. Neither one us has access to the database so there is no way to prove or disprove your feeling. Nor would it matter.
  2. Likely it may be something baked in from a map imported from CMBN by BF.
  3. Helpdesk https://battlefront.mojohelpdesk.com/
  4. I actually wouldn’t mind doing that particularly for armor. Seeing repeated tactical designations does hurt the immersion a bit.
  5. Odds are no and for BF to even consider it they have to look at value add versus time. The only item in the discussion that makes sense to me is plowed roads in snowy terrain, that makes sense. Dry roads in muddy terrain doesn’t sound logical though as an example.
  6. You have a lot of flexibility in design using mod tags. The scenario itself would drive what you use in files so the step of moving files around could be eliminated. Again the Task Force Spartan Resolve campaign is a good example. It uses a 173rd unit patch for the US.
  7. First off they are speaking Arabic which none of the rest of the force understands so it is a lot of animated gestures, expressions like “boom” and some things that don’t translate but look vaguely offensive. In other words they end up taking pics on their mobile and texting them.
  8. Change logs for a product still being worked on. Heh heh. Someone has been hitting the pipe a bit much.
  9. You have to set specific to start with or it will auto contour to match. For example if you start a new map and select one AS and set it to 50 everything else will become 15 to match. The elevation tool is quite easy to use, getting the contours you want may be a little harder. I’d suggest playing around in it for a bit just messing with elevations alone and for God’s sake don’t add any water to your map until you are ready to tackle that.
  10. Hey MJ, Everyone is entitled to a good rant occasionally. However on this topic when he walks on water and you find out the water was just a surface film.... well what can you say? The issue isn't having talks, the issue has always been at what level. Every other prez (Repub and Dem) has refused presidential level unless we actually were going to get something. Kim meeting as equals gets him something for sure. So here is what we got. Whew, good thing we have that memorandum. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/satellite-images-show-north-korea-upgrading-nuclear-research-facility-report/ar-AAzdIpU?ocid=spartanntp
  11. LOL I don't remember my key from one day to the next, however you can find out your key on the BF website - just log in and go to my account. Heck I can still see my original CMSF licenses. C'mon you guys can't possibly be more computer illiterate than me! Go to website, find key, go to page for full installer, apply key, DL. Activate with same key..... Wow I bought CMSF for my birthday exactly 10 years ago...… dang. It is harder for me to decide what to have for breakfast on the weekend. Okay that isn't fair, I sometimes have no idea what I want for breakfast other than coffee.
  12. well the game is accurate - it hit in the right hand 634 mm heat entry just below the Turret.
  13. That is what I overheard them muttering about me in the grocery line yesterday. Freakin young uns got no respect.
  14. Challenger 2. Could be a one off but I am still looking at the smoldering wreck so yeah it is really dead. Now back to our regularly broadcast program in progress.
  15. You mean like in Task Force Spartan Resolve? Yeah absolutely!!!!! They can be added in with Mod tags as well to only show up in scenarios with those units Also nice to have unit icons in the UI - @Mord style
  16. I gather you don't have CMSF yes Challengers and AT 13s. But I was not referring to the AAR
  17. I expect that part of the problem is you can read historical information and in hindsight make the better decision if the forces are arrayed exactly as they were then. In essence that is like replaying a scenario once you know the enemy dispositions. By changing that historical reality you make decisions in the same way as the commander in the field at the time - with crappy intel. So are you a conservative player or a risk taker? I do not know if there is variability in the design to allow for different set ups or variance in when units appear or if it just sucks to rush in expecting you can almost walk in to Stoumont.
  18. yeah buying CMSF1 doesn't make much sense. CMSF2 is all around a better product, it will play CMSF1 scenarios and all new material is more than likely going to be produced by both the community and BF for CMSF2.
  19. Generally in playing CMSF I almost never see that automaton response - CMSF2 has not changed that. You have a dozen years of technology development between the games so expect to have a harder time versus ATGMs. You can still spot them pretty good once launched (generally), but you won't see these immediate reorientations of vehicles to anywhere near the same degree. I am in doubt most vehicles even have a laser warning. I'll have to go play around and see if I even note that. Hasn't been something I have seen much of. heh just watched an AT 13 take out one Challenger (frontally) and fire 4 rounds at another and never get spotted. Yeah this is a whole different game.
  20. Excellent you got him to use up a valuable TOW missile!
  21. Charge the enemy. If you are close enough when you explode it will hurt them and and maybe the smoke and flames from the burning wreck will obscure their view.
  22. I did one totally fictional location in CMBS called Ukrainian Crossroads that is 4 x 4.5. Elevation is not bad especially if you have a decent overlay with elevation lines.
  23. gotcha, see response in other thread. If all you are looking for is maps that is probably a better one to continue in.
