Agreed (see Kinophiles post above). Has it actually been announced by Steve the first module will be Marines-both US and Russian- and perhaps irregulars, or is that just the assumption? As I posted in the General Forum under "Do you want to see more modules for existing Families or More Families" thread there is a huge choice of possibilities after that. Would I be wrong in thinking a UK contribution in such a war might be limited? One of the largest NATO force contributors would I think be Poland.

I hope I'm explaining this correctly. As most of you who read the threads in the modding section know, one can have variations of a certain graphic file, say helmets tagged -1, -2 etc, I've seen up to 8. When I developed some poster mods, I found that the number of variations appearing in game will vary depending on what graphic setting one has set for the game, such as balanced or I think after that comes improved, etc. Does any one have a rough idea of how many variations on sees at a certain quality setting? Is there a max of around 8? I wouldn't be surprised if it can vary depending on the size of the graphic. Thanks.

I think it's obvious the number one country for Battlefront sales is the U.S. but I seem to recall a recent post by Steve detailing a rough order of purchases by country. Does any one else remember this? It could give us something to go on as to where Battlefront may be influenced as to what it may develop.

Responding to my own question, I'm going to come out and say I'd prefer to see the existing Families expanded. I think Red Thunder and Last Blitzkrieg need more than one module. Last Blitzkrieg needs a Commonwealth Module which need not be centered on the Bulge, in addition to one bringing us to the end of the war . And hey if were getting Brazilians in CMFI, couldn't we have the French for the wars end? That's when French forces were at their largest. Another Red Thunder Module can be centered on Budapest and add at least the Finns. We'll soon get Rome to Victory for CMFI but an Elite Forces module for for that Family and something similar could still be added to CMBN. Don't even get me started on what could be added to Black Sea and I'm totally with SBurke, how about more for CMSF 2 someday?

Yes Steve gave a roadmap for releases for at least the next year, but I bet Battlefront plans ahead further than that. They may already have their plan set and this thread may be completely moot, but what would be your preference after the announced content (modules for Fortress Italy, Red Thunder, Black Sea and Final Blitzkrieg) comes out? A Combat Mission: Kursk Family or even a surprise Family, or more content for the many Families we have already? If you can, please try and refrain for wishing for something Battlefront has said they'd never do, namely WWII Pacific, Arab-Israeli Wars or anything when use of horses was common. Thanks! P.S. They more then meet expectations. I like to come to this thread to just look at the picture because they look so great. Is that geeky? As for requests, just wondering if there could be very much variation done on the vehicle crew uniforms? In my mind they'd be the last in line to receive Desert Marpat. As for the snow, just let it sit. It should all be gone by July anyway.

Do I assume correctly there is not a separate uniform tag for the infantry and crews of the US Army and USMC? PS To clarify, I mean vehicle crews.

If there were enemy forces about I'd rather take my chances with the mines rather than ride on top of vehicle like that.

It was a fan* made campaign (and a really good one too) for CMSF 1 about a US airborne battalion in the hypothetical Syrian invasion. It had a wide variety of scenarios. It hasn't been updated for CMSF 2 but theoretically could still work. I put an asterisk next to fan as it was made by ChrisND who later became a Battlefront employee, He has since left BFC but still maintains contact with the crew. PS Ninja'd by Sburke

Okay, thanks Mord. Sorry to doubt you. Actually I had heard that Snowball had taken a lot of shortcuts with their models in CMA and wasn't thinking of swapping the entire Muj soldier model, just the headgear. A better choice now might be having Capt Millers friend making Afghanistan looking headgear if he's willing. Poor guy might get swamped with requests.

I think the cap/area denial is a good idea that perhaps can be considered for a CM:Black Sea 5.0 upgrade, but the "wish list" of which Steve is the noble steward is quite quite long and development of one wish comes at the expense of other wishes. I won't begin to speculate what the priorities for the wish list development are at this point. As for CMSF 2 I don't think it's ever been hinted at as to if will be included in whatever 5.0 upgrades we may receive.
