Well according to Wikipedia 2 of the 3 Gebirgsjaeger battalions us it as there primary mode of transport. Again, I'm not trying to argue they should have been included. If in a real war I'd much rather my BV 206 was exchanged for a Marder.

Well the Gibirgsjaegers do use it as a troop carrier but it certainly is not a infantry fighting vehicle.

I saw a picture of this vehicle being used in the heavy snow Germany is now experiencing and it got me reading up on it. I see it's used by some Bundeswehr Gebirgsjaeger and the Canadians used it in Afghanistan. It's not in the NATO module and I am by no means asserting it's a "missing" vehicle but wanted to ask if would be totally out of place in "our" Syrian war.

And according to Wikipedia, the Royal Marine Armoured Support Group in support of the Commando brigade in Normandy used the Centaur tank. I don't know much about the Centaur.

And one more thing, do I recall correctly in CMX1 if both sides had air units there would be air to air combat simulated in the background unseen?

I posted a couple years back some one should use the Red Air Force planes in a scenario to represent an Eastern European Country's contribution to the NATO cause, because some Eastern European countries were still using some of the same planes in 2008. I'm still waiting for such a scenario. I probably will be for quite some time .

Yeah, just bad luck. IIRC FO's in real life can tell the FDC's that the target is "Danger Close" whereby the FDC takes extra care in doing its calculations. This takes longer before the first rounds appear of course, but it can help prevent friendly fire. P.S. I'm not asking BFC to add this as a feature as it's really rather rare. Four blocks isn't that far away so it would be danger close. What type of spotting team were they I'm betting they weren't a designated TO&E F.O. team.

I hope sales of CMSF 2 have been and will continue to be strong enough so that you don't regret choosing to have done the overhaul.

Maybe it's tilting at windmills but perhaps CMSF 2 will get engine updates some day with stuff like that added. It would be more likely if CMBS gets IEDs in a future expansion I would think.

Surely some one has already done a US vs China computer game. I know of at least 2 Taiwan invasion with US involvement board games. I don't think China had any response to those, nor am I aware of any big controversy regarding Black Sea.

The was a CMBO scenario where you had to get your convoy of trucks and jeeps through a town with roadblocks and a light smattering of German troops before the whole town was hit by a heavy artillery barrage.

Anyway, I checked Wikipedia. I suppose I should have done that to begin with. No such thing as a AAV7 mortar carrier.
