Yeah, I'm sorry to hear that stuff like this happens to CM Members, and It would be better off if BF just did away with the Rep Counter...No matter what anyone else says you're a Great Asset to the CM Community...At least, in your own special way :-)

    1. Yeah, the 'Ammo Pool' is a little simplified in CM, but it will have to do...Also, and If I had it my way, 'Acquire Ammo' should not be used in a CM Scenario...Things like that should take place in between Scenarios of a Campaign.
    2. That's interesting for sure, and you would think by taking the extra MG from HT Mount, (and thus making it a 2x LMG, 9-man squad) would cost more...An oversight by BF ?

So, in a nice way, what your saying it's a possible CM Game Flaw/limitation or oversight...An interesting Observation, nonetheless.

Oh, and I for one totally agree....In RL, you may have a couple soldiers firing pop shots for a few seconds into a forming Smoke/Dust screen, but wont have whole units be given firing orders into it for your stated reasons above (thou, a person giving a Smoke Screen also has way to much info as the enemy that's going to be screened by it).
So, I'm actually Ok with keeping it now, or going back to original...
Thou, there is another option, if Game Engine allows it (and not to much work)...If there is a way to have units already firing (when a Smoke/Dust forms) to continue for another Action-Cycle or so before stopping...Kind of like we see now with friendly troops firing pop shots at enemy Icons for a few seconds, but player doesn't see any enemy troops.

If you mean Pinned in an Arbitrary sense, and since the MG is far away, then I would use 'Quick' (in hopes CM gives a slight Moral boost for using 'Quick' vs 'Fast') to the House...However, if you mean 'Pinned' in CM terms, then it would be hard to move at all until recovered.

Nah...This is Engine 4, and no need for Big HE to realistically reduce buildings and occupants...Just need to use Small Arms or have small HE rounds fall anywhere on the Map to make sure the Building Occupants flee in quick manner
Whatever happened when it realistically took several minutes or hours to take a Block of buildings...From an excerpt from "Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan"..."According to myth, the Earth was created in six days (then, v3). Now, watch out! Here comes Genesis! (v4) We'll do it for you in six minutes!

Sounds Good, and can use another PBEM Opponent, if this interests you :-)
I generally play up to Reinforced Company (Tiny, Small) QB Meetings, with certain 'House Rules' to be discussed, and can return files a few times a week.

This is why I only use Green Troops ( against AI or Opponents ), and use certain Bonuses ( Leadership & Motivation ) to represent Reg or Vet Troops.

And I'm with you in that Regs and above ( especially if having bonuses ) stand too long on the battlefield.

That's ok, a Friendly Infantry in the open ran directly in front of my M8 AC shooting Canister, but was not casualty ( maybe increased the squads suppression bar up one notch )...Instead that Canister Round KO'ed a German 50 yards behind in the woods.

I agree with Vark along with JK ( who also mentioned it awhile ago ) in that SMG fire is alittle to effective.

I have been playing v1.0 ( patched ), and think Small Arms in general is lethal enough, and from what I understand it's even more so in v2.0
Many players can loose upwards of %50 during a scenario, and think nothing of it...I can't pin-point why, but I think it has something to do with Units Spotting or Reacting to quickly, or the Suppression to Casualty ratio differences, or Firefights just develope to quickly, etc.

I can see why in a CMx2 'Campaigns' troops dont carry over from battle to battle ( instead you get different troop dispositions each scenario ), because there wouldn't be anyone left to carry over.
