  1. Stay tuned to this web site: http://www.freewebs.com/kampfgruppe/index.htm There is an operation in the works by an author who did a similar project for Close Combat.
  2. The essential mods for all three versions of CM are the winter mods for vehicles, infantry and guns. None are included in the games. So they are really add-ons. Of course the only place (well almost) to download CM mods is: http://www.cmmods.com/
  3. If you're looking for opponents, try Warfare HQ. http://www.warfarehq.com/ It's a friendly site. All three versions of CM are played. There are folks at all levels of experience and they even have rookie tournaments. Then when you get some experience, come over and see us at KG. </p> Most of all--play and have fun! 4. Try these two: http://ns9.super-hosts.com/~dragonlair.net/combatmission/ http://www.freewebs.com/kampfgruppe/index.htm
  5. Hey Matt why don't you post the Churchill I look for the Churchill IV at CMMODs...unless you plan to put it in the next patch?! </p> [ November 16, 2004, 01:30 AM: Message edited by: jagcommander ]
  6. Great job as usual guys! One question though--did you mean to have the Team Desobry operation to be for CMBB as it says on your site? I think that it is a CMAK operation.
  7. Another fine addition to Wicky's Winter Wonderland!
  8. Hull down tells you that your AFV, where it is currently located, is hull down to a spot at the end of your LOS line. If you move the line around, you will find spots to which you are not hull down. A hull down position esentially means that only your turret is visable to units in the spot or spots to which you are hull down. If one or more of your machine guns is in the hull (this varies with each AFV), then that gun cannot fire to any point to which the AFV is hull down. Of course machine guns located above the hull can still fire, although some will require your vehicle to be unbuttoned in order to fire (e.g. bow guns on the top of the turret).
  9. I have the same problem as patboy. All the files appear, but nothing can be accessed or moved. Since this has remained true for three seperate downloads, my guess is that the file was corrupted when uploaded. Wicky would you please upload Pak 1 again? Thanks.
  10. War, which game are you playing? If it's CMBO,there are no cover arc commands available, as there are in CMBB and CMAK.
  11. Unfortunately, there were a large number of British vehicles that never received winter mods. I don't know if this is a reflection of history, the lack of CW units fighting in snowy condtions during the war, or because these vehicles did not hold as much interest for the modders.
  12. They exist and are much appreciated. But the lines seperating the tiles are too thick for my taste. It would be great to have your versions from the earlier games made available for CMAK.
  13. No winter mods (vehicles, uniforms, guns, etc.) are included with game. They are a must, especially when in Russia.
  14. Thought that you'd like to know that the link to download Ghost Column at Rzhavets is broken.
  15. Andrew, does you Canadian revolver mod have the correct BMP number? The original BMP looks like a carbine.
  16. Winks, thanks for the effort, but your version for CMAK spelled "Afrika Korps" as "Africa Korps". Also you CMBO version lists the years as 1941-1945. Those were the years that the US was in WW2, but the game covers only parts of 1944 and 1945. [ January 05, 2004, 12:15 AM: Message edited by: jagcommander ]
  17. I've got all three, plus a CMBO modified for the Pacific Theater.
  18. Sorry Houston, but we got it here in Austin.
  19. Look in the ammo box at the bottom left of your screen when you have selected a unit. If you have smoke rounds, the number will appear followed by an "s". You can order that these be fired at a particular location by way of the pull down menu or by pushing hotkey "K". However, the tac-AI can also fire them (as it can other types of ammo). When Shermans, especially 75mm Shermans, spot Tigers or Panthers, you can expect the tac-AI operating the Shermans to start a smoke screen.
  20. Beware that this appears to be the CDV European release and not the North American 2 CD CMBB Special Edition.
  21. I stand corrected. Guess I didn't know what to look for in CMBO. In CMBB it's real clear that the weapons system is being used.
  22. If you want the Nahverteidigungswaffe (what a great German name!), you'll have to upgrade to CMBB (see page 106 of the CMBB manual) or wait for CMAK.
