Yaba,is this the same operation that was posted at the Depot about 9/26/03? That one was 4 battles with 15 turns each, best palyed Axis vs. AI, and authored by Jason Camp.

The P-51D, Spit XIV and Corsairs from carriers give the western Allies complete air superiority over Yaks, Migs and La-7s. Without fighter support, the great Il-2 is rendered largely ineffective. Meanwhile the Allies have far superior medium bombers (B-25s and B-26s) and heavies (the B 29 high altitude bomber being the most serious of many threats). Add to this, the complete control of the seas. The Soviets had no carriers and no advantage in any area of naval force or supply. With that kind of air and naval power, the worst the west could (reasonably) do is to inflict a very bloody standoff (ala Korea) on the Soviets. Thanks for the needed addition, Zimorodok! I look forward to the final version and downloading it from the Mod Site, when she's back-up. Thanks also to Gautek for temporarily posting his new mods for downloading on his own site. We do not have to go 100% cold turkey!

I've got three CDs of standard (non-CMMOS) CMBB mods alone, and two more CDs worth for CMBO. So, if I can help with some missing material, let me and the rest of us know.

Thanks to all for your responses and most of all promise for new mods! The conversion suggested worked for the SK 251/9, but not the 251/1. In light of Andrew's input, that may not be such a bad thing. Add to the original list of missing late war (yellow) winter mods are the following: SK 250/7, 250/8, 251/2, 251/10, 251/21 & 251/22 and SD KFZ 6/2, 7, 7/1, 7/2 & 10/4

There seem to be number of German yellow light vehicles that have not yet seen the white paint brush of our winter modders. If memory serves, this list includes at least the following vehicles: SK 250/9, 251/1, 251/9, 251/16, 251/17 and SD KFZ 10/4. Is anyone working on any of these mods? Have i missed one that is already out there. Thanks!

Andrew, thanks very much for your latest batch of uniform mods. However, I thought you might want to be alerted to a problem with your Partisans package. BMP #9350 is coming up as a Quicktime Photoshop file on my Windows XP machine. All the rest of the packages and files appear to be fine with this and your other recently released packages.

It is a fantastic site and service to the CM community. However, there are some large mods that just can't be downloaded from the site with a dial up connection--even if you run it on a weeknight when you should be sleeping.

They're still broken.

For at least a couple days the downlaod links for both versions of Alex Kirkup's Novocherkassak, both AI aand 2 person versions, have been down. Any fix in the works? Thanks!

Andrew--thanks for both the update and the heads up about it. These days it's hard to tell what's new and what's a rerun on the Mod site.

GPS? The Rangers can track Comanches over rocks. Footprints in the snow--much too easy! Better find some permafrost to hide in.

Rumor has it that you Canadians have only one more operational combat helo than you did 200 years ago. So it might come out your way this time, especially if we decide to send the Texas Rangers up there. We'll just tell 'em that some "ferrenners" have invaded far north Texas.

If the Italians are beside anything burning, it will almost have to be one of their own vehicles. Of course the folks next to it will be very thankful just for getting out of it in one piece and only being medium-rare.
