  1. Are any of you modders up for whitwashing the trailer for the Sherman Croc or sharing an existing one? Thanks.
  2. It appears that our talented modders have gone after many of the units that appeared in the Bulge. Thanks guys!
  3. Daffy--thanks for the AA guns. Check two items off the list of the missing winter mods.
  4. I haven't done any research on specific units in battles and operations. What I can tell you is that every CMBO German unit appears to have been covered in at least one winter mod and only these few Allied units (or part thereof) have not received the white brush treatment--at least as far I can tell. Turning back to winter battles and operations, I can only tell you that I have two overstuffed large binders with user made battles and ops. I suspect that among those and the ones issued by Battlefront (then Big Time) every unit in CMBO appears in a snow battle. Regardless, it seems odd that only these few have "escaped" the bursh of our talented winter modders. One other caveat for the newer CM mod sluts: a significant number of CMBO mods were lost in the CMMODS crashes and when older web sites distributing them before CMMODS "disappeared" over time. I would like to hear more about Axis and Allied units sharing BMPs, be it in CMBO, CMBB or CMAK. That the first time I can remember hearing about that and the impact of it. 5. I've been collecting CMBO winter mods for a long time. However, there are few I have never been able to find. All are Allied and they are: 90 mm AA gun (US) 40 mm AA gun (US and Brit) Sherman Crocodile TRAILER ONLY (US) In addition I cannot find whitewashed mods or either the Daimler or Humber. Does anyone know where any of these can be found. If not, are any modders interested in producing any of them? Thanks!
  6. David the 251/9 worked, but the winter version of the 251/16 did not show up for me.
  7. Latest update: the winter Panther (Pz V) A [bMPs 62920 - 62934] and A (early) [bMPs 62900 - 62914] can both be ported directly from CMBB to CMAK. Tracer's Snow Panther pack includes all Panther versions. But for the Panther A (early) I selected Kingfisher's Last Panther Frosted, which should work well in both "northern" Europe and in Italy. By the way, I don't know if any of Kingfisher's CMBB mods survived the CMMODS crash. Calling Astro-Cat--I saved a whole bunch of them on CD.
  8. Thanks again DI and J2D; David I look forward to your winter 251/9. As I recall only the 251/1, 2, 10 & 17 are available in winter mods. After further sleep and testing, the following is an update and contains corrections to my last post. It turns out that most of the winter Stug family can be directly ported from CMBB to CMAK. This is true for all versions of the Stug III G (thanks Daffy and Zimorodok), as well as the Stug IV and IV late. I did not test versions of the Stug III prior to the G. What did not work was a direct import of Zim's StuH 42 mid skirt. [ December 29, 2004, 07:23 PM: Message edited by: jagcommander ]
  9. Thanks for the insight guys. Wicky's Allied winter mods, which I had downloaded when they came out, cover a great deal of ground on that side of the line. But back to the German winter units, much of what you suggested worked well. Thanks to Daffy [DEY], I have winter Pz IV H & J models by way of a direct import of his CMBB mods for those same tanks. I also have both versions of the Panther G by way of direct import from CMBB. I looked at BG's BMP numbers and then selected a differnet mod, but with the same BMP numbers. I did not attempt to add any versions of the Panthers A or D. Can these (or any of them) be ported over to CMAK directly from CMBB? The final point of succes was a direct import of Zim's whitewashed Stu III G (late). However, there were also some direct ports from CMBB that did not take (or did not seem to in the context of several test QBs that I set up), at least not in 12/43 to 1/45 Italy. These include the rest of the Stug family, Daffy's Pz III N, and the various armored cars. Any suggestions on these problems?
  10. BV--FYI: the second part concerns a major Texas intra-state rivalry between the Horns at Austin and the Ags from College Station.
  11. Now that the holidays have arrived, I have the time to play a CMAK Bulge operation. What struck me at the beginning of the first snow battle is the lack of CMAK winter mods, even for the Germans. Since I try to grab almost every mod that comes out, that leaves we with importing German winter mods from CMBB. What works and what doesn't? Do certain mods work, if you change BMP numbers? Has someone put together a chart with the BMP numbers of units in CMAK version 1.03 and/or CMBB v1.03? If so, where is it (are they)available? Thanks for any help.
  12. Seanachai and an Aggie on the same thread--what a target rich environment!
  13. There's always something new to learn. I look forward to reading it.
  14. Holy late 60's flashback Batman! Instead of animal based mods, how about circus based versions that are already created? I would love to see the release of the much rumored "Russians as clowns" bmp set that was a part of the CMBB beta development!

  17. Yes--I make an annual contribution to CMMODS and other critcal CM sites. The end of the year holiday period reminds me that it is once again time to assist, albeit in a small way, those who contribute so much to the CM community of gamers.
  18. You're on the Eastern Front. You need winter mods for all vehicles, guns and troops! They were not included with the original game, and will not overwrite anything when you install them. You also should look into the MCMMM mod manager to deal with mods that would otherwise overwrite original files and each other.
  19. Warfare HQ has both for all thre CM games. They are user friendly for players at all levels of ability and experience. Check them out at: http://www.warfarehq.com/
  20. Check out the two versions of MP rules at our KG CM web site: http://www.freewebs.com/kampfgruppe/index.htm
  21. Thanks guys--zipping works, but I don't have a zip utility on my laptop. Amedeo's suggestion seems to work. I have Outlook on my desktop; so I'll have to see if there is a similar problem with it.
  22. In the last couple of days a few of us have had problems trying to send saved game files. Outlook Express had removed the attachments, with the following explanation: "OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail: filename.cme" I even tried sending a file by changing cme to cm1--still the same result, removal of access to the file. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
  23. Eichenbaum please tell us what your operation overwrites in the CMBB game folder. My guess is that, at a minimum, a number of BMPs have been changed. Secondly when you uninstall your operation, do the original CMBB files return to the CMBB file? Perhaps this can be accomplished in a manner similar to using a mod manager? Thanks for your answers and all your creative work.
