  8. You can join the SZO CM ladder by clicking on the first link under "Ladder Actions" and go forward from there. To see the SZO CM ladder (and it can be viewed in a number of ways), click "Combat Missions" under "Ladder name".
  9. Thanks guys, but the idea and implementation of it do not belong to me. I'm merely the messenger. Kerry (Palantir) at SZO gets full credit!
  10. The Mecca for battles and ops coviering all three versions of CM is here: http://www.the-scenario-depot.com/index.html
  11. "Seeing the Elephant" Tourney -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seeing the Elephant- A new/inexperienced player event. This event is open to all registered SZO CM Ladder members with the following restrictions/requirements applying: (they are still subject to change). Event Moderators have the final say in who plays in this event. 1. You consider yourself to be new to CM (CMBB will be the version played). 2. You consider yourself to be inexperienced at playing CM. 3. If inexperienced you'd like some “instruction” on how to play a better game. 4. You have played 5 or less “Ladder” games anywhere (and still feel inexperienced). 5. Your only opponent up to now has been the A.I. Tutors will be provided for players to ask tactical or game play questions- but not questions concerning the scenario being played. It is scheduled to begin in mid/late July. There will be 4 games played and all will count on the SZO CM Ladder. Anyone who believes that they qualify for this event should post below indicating that they would like to participate. Check this link to the SZO forum about the "Elephant": http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42399 You can join the SZO ladder(required to participate in this unique tournament for new CM players) here: http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums/ladder.php
  12. What more need be said about anyone with an email address that starts with "Herr_Fuhrer"!
  13. In the US you can find them (at least sometimes) at Half Price Books and Fryes.
  14. There are various CM ladders with players at all levels of experience and ability (well except for realeeeey bad). Check out SZO, run by Kerry aka Palantir, a true gentleman of CM. http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=5
  15. If you are looking for a missing mod, check under "Astrocat" at CMMODS. He tried to repopulate the data base with mods that were lost when CMMODS crashed. While many mods are listed under his name, he gives credit to the original creator of each mod, if his identity was known.
  16. We invite you to check out the KG forum for more on CMBB, CMAK, CMx2, World War II history and related topics. We have just opened our public forum for anyone to sign up. Check it out first if you like. If you enjoy what you see, or find the discussion at our place to be helpful or informative, feel free to sign up and join the discussion. The first step is simply to click on the link that appears below: http://www.kampfgruppe.us/ The rest is almost as easy. Hope to see you at our house in the very near future!
  17. I'll look forward to them, especially since it's been 100 degrees already in central Texas! It may help to make the heat seem to be a little more seasonal.
  18. I remember some beach landing battles that were made, but don't remember that any were made for Sword. Beyond Overlord in the game's name is the key here. CMBO offers no D-Day type landing craft, and assualt boats have to be used instead. Also there are no beach terrain tiles. Other things like beach obstacales are not part of the game either. As I recall, they had to modify the wheat tiles to look like sand and used those.
  19. This is now the place. You will like to sign up, just as you had to do for the original Scenario Depot. http://www.the-scenario-depot.com/
  20. Thanks Theike--I just picked it up.
  21. Very few of the old ones are there. However, some scenario designers, such as British Tommy, have been uploading some of their older battles and ops.
