  1. Try Ian's site. I gave him all the scenarios and campaigns I had
  2. All one needs is eyes on the location via a FO/HQ or drone (assuming you don't have a TRP of course).
  3. British strategy for hundreds of its "Empire years" was to control the seas and trade routes. It was recognized that it was impractical (and largely unnecessary) to create a land army that could match anything in Europe. In terms of diplomacy, Britain rose from obscurity to empire by clever diplomacy. The strategy was to always ally with the 2nd most powerful nation in Europe thus ensuring that GB kept the balance of power - until Portugal, Spain and France were all exhausted fighting each other and GB basically took over. Hence the phrase "perfidious Albion". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfidious_Albion And that is a reason why we need to stay pals with Russia vs the future largest power - China.
  4. Yes, you can call in arty or air strikes on any location.
  5. You have added extra mods in v2 so I have deleted the old on and using the new one. Thank you...
  6. try Google "CMSF rolled sleeves mod" in BF repository. Otherwise you'll need to search the CMSF repository.
  7. usually: DOCUMENTS/BATTLEFRONT/COMBAT MISSION/GAME NAME/USER DATA/MODS Creat a "Z" folder in MODS and put all mods in that.
  8. At first it looks like a great way to reduce airframe costs dramatically - then you read they have built in redundancy and are supposed to only survive 20 missions(!) - so lots and lots of lucrative contracts to build thousands of them.
  9. Should we simply replace the older mod with this one in its entirety? what was wrong with the crater BTW?
  10. Thanks... Busy prepping for hopefully final, final playtest of MOS's TOC. BUt after that looking forward to it. BTW: The sniper eg I gave above was from one of your early (CMA?) scenarios which was very enjoyable but am not sure you ever completed.
  11. It was done for CMSF (hot desert).
  12. Too wet and cold most of the time innit(?) But, we did have rolled sleeves mods in CMSF, so it can be done.
  13. You never know, Bolton may still be able to persuade Trump to take action countering the much larger Chinese menace.
  14. Thank you... Got it. Normally no problems opening rar files. Not sure what happened here. Will try out CMA Snowy Village campaign...
  15. Yes let them choose their own targets. However, generally regular snipers can miss a lot. Having a Crack or Elite sniper can be a lot of fun. I recall having one Pause in place for 5-10 secs which was enuff time for him to shoot a guy, and then SLOW MOVE to a 2nd position and successfully repeat the procedure several times. Am simply suggesting that specialized troops should usually be given extra expertise by the designer (unless it's a design decision to have them less effective).
  16. Sounds nice. Never ever posted b4?? Let us know it's not a Trojan something...
  17. Yes, am looking forward to trying it. Thank you. PS: Tried d/l thrice But something wrong with the .rar and cannot open. "UNKNOWN FORMAT OR DAMAGED"
  18. Yes, exactly... designers seem loath to do that in the vast majority of scenarios.
  19. LOL Before I was an unpaid intern/film student on SW Ep 4 I hadn't seen one either!
  20. +1 Have been saying for years that designers need to give snipers (and any specialized troops for that matter) extra experience and other factors so that they function better.
  21. Had to find an internet access while on travels to assure you that is not a ruined church but a super high end house project done by billionnaire Abromovich in the style of a ruined Russian church in the posh Ambassadors Row/Princes Gate area of London. It's very controversial architecture for the area and the neighbors are furious. Can't you tell how carefully the "ruined" cupolas are artistically nestled against each other?
  22. All good advice and refresher... even for this veteran...
  23. It's one of the reasons am hoping that CM3 is well in the works. Most grog players are not primarily concerned about graphics - that is a different market. The gamers concerned mostly with graphics may never enjoy the complexity/sim quality of CM2. But, yes, the CM2 graphics are essentially from 2007 CMSF. By now BF must have collated a huge list of improvements and wish list items that may not be practicable with CM2. CM1 was obsolete (altho still fun to play) in 8 years. CM2 is now 11 years old. Say no more...
  24. Thanks. That's useful for many folks. I regularly get asked for mods for CMSF etc that may have become unavailable.
