I was playing Barkmann’s Corner this weekend and I notice that Barkmann’s Panther was swaying backward like a teeter totter when firing.   Just browsing YouTube took me to a video that showed the Panther firing and steady as you would think a 44 ton monster would be when firing.

same issue in CMRT.   Didn’t check CMFI.

As I recall BFC stated that it was intentionally done that way as a way for the player to have more visual stimulation of something 'happening' when the tank fires or something along those lines.  Anyway, it's not an oversight but rather a deliberate thing included in the game.

Seems like all tanks and TDS, etc., bounce way too much when firing. This was brought up eons ago when CMBN first came out. BFC may even have toned them down a bit...don’t recall for certain, but if they did adjust it, they didn’t go far enough, IMHO.

Thanks 37mm!  I now have enough CMSF2 scenarios to play for the next 5 years!

Also an aspect of the player as god.  You know that but if this were a real battles isn't it plausible that they would not?  CM certainly has it's limitations.  Players however also have our own bias of too much knowledge.
We also look at every single battle as a crucial must win.  In reality a commander's decisions would be influenced by factors outside the scope of a single CM scenario.

Put in a ticket last night since my CMSF order wasn’t there.   Email this morning with a key to get me going.
