Barbarossa.  And winter 41-42.  And summer 42.  and Stalingrad.  And winter 43.  and summer 43.  and winter 43-44.   So one base game and six modules.  Can I pre-order as a bundle, with delivery in early 2022?

It can't be the end of Red Thunder anyway... we still need 'Barbarossa'

Ditto.  But haven't seen anything new for quite awhile.  @Bil Hardenberger, do you have anything in the works?

It would appear not.  Is it why BF are focusing on late war instead of starting at the beginning?  Maybe.  To me it would have been so much more interesting to do the games chronologically so we could experience for our selves the immense changes that occurred in equipment.  As well as understand that part of the war that never changed...

I second this. I was formulating a post just like that as I was reading your request and then there it was the very advice I was about to give.
I have on so many occasions watched my guys deliver some hurt and then get lots of return fire and I have said to my self I'll leave them there just a couple of more minutes. Now I don't do that because it rarely ended well. The corollary is that when you setup your defence think about their avenues of withdrawal and what their secondary and tertiary positions will be.
Some basic advice is to setup so that your guys have some cover and concealment and their kill zone they are covering has some restrictions on the attacker. What you want is to maximize the number of times the attacker has to expose small percentage of their force without having support nearby friendlies. That may mean not using some positions because while look good the entire attacking force can bring fire on your position - don't use positions like that. Or use them only OPs that you abandon as soon as you have some intel on the enemy.
In a city or village that could mean having your guys in the second row of buildings not in the first. That way your enemy has to actually enter the town to engage you and when they do they loose the support of the entire rest of the attacking force. In a forest similarly stay back from the edge - other than some scouts to keep watch. Also look for elevation changes where you can position forces to hit the enemy coming over the hill without exposing your guys to the rest of his force.

I think a vehicle pack of early war stuff would be a good seller.  It has been mentioned that BF might not want to double sell stuff that would be in later modules/games but at the rate we are going the early war Russian Front is 5 years away and probably in CM3,  I don't think it will cause a sales problem.
We would need a couple of early T-34s, KV-I, KV-II, a couple of BTs, A couple of PzKpfw IIIs, the early PzKpfw IV , and the early STuG  - maybe 10 in all.  Half of these models are already complete in later versions.  Of course this work would have to be squeezed in around a lot of other stuff but it would make ME so happy...

Just to clarify.. It is Red Thunder not "Storm".

I disagree.  I think what we are seeing is that among all of the CM community there are different groups who are interested in different periods.  While one group gets "their" game the other groups continue to lobby for their period.  I am an early East Front guy, the earlier the better but '42-'43 is my sweet spot...

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I never cared much for "tournaments", especially back in the old days of CM1. A lot of those guys were so arrogant an took playing way to seriously.
I don't like losing but I enjoy the stories that can come from a good defeat just as much as from a killer win. When I play as a weaker side, like Syrian Combatants or Italians, I adjust my goals to causing as much hurt as I can. If I knock out a few good tanks and rack up a couple dozen bodies, I consider it a "win" even when I get my ass handed to me. LOL. Expectations, brother!

Later war features more US forces, which is probably the largest market for the CM games.  Most of us on this board loved the early war period, Rommel in the desert, Barbarossa etc.  But, we here are only a hundred(?) or so - so a tiny % of the existing market for the CM games.

Yesterday I was in the Boston area and had time (but not enough time) to visit the American Heritage Museum.  This is the place where the Littlefield collection ended up after he passed away.  Every vehicle has been meticulously restored.  The best armor collection I have seen...so far.
