  1. Instead of changing the movement values for inf. (if that is possible?), why not make a map scaled larger to accomadate the necessary "20 mile a day" march. Stick to single campaigns such as Gaul or Italy.
  2. "Novelty cameras that look like grenades are NOT funny, Gunther!"
  3. Any chance of units surrendering if out of supply for "x" amount of turns, and the lowest morale state? The fight to the death quality of most operational/strategic games is unrealistic. It would be great to see high morale/good quality troops be able to attempt to fight their way out of encirclement, until they dropped in both. Also, being able to "bag" poor troops by surrounding them within a week or so.
  4. Bad landing spots in history-Galipoli. That would for all intensive purposes be an "un-landable" spot, but it was done. I think allowing for landings most anywhere is fine, but there should be consequenses for the more difficult terrain in terms of combat and supply.
  5. Any chance of smaller cities being available in the editor, or are all urban areas classed the same?
  6. I would like the option of having the 2d "counters" as well-although I think the visual extras are great. One oft requested additions-stacking units-seems not to have made it in. This (and maybe the dropping of the hex grid-but I'll hold judgement on that 'till I've tried it) is really my only wish that seems to have not made it. Looks good from here for the most part, though!
  7. Really great ideas. I like the simplicity of using that one road line to gauge progress on the overview map.
  8. HA!! BTS should take $ for "walk on" roles. It would be the worst/best sounding game ever...
  9. The P-51 did a real # on me as well (playing as US). Those rockets hurt.
  10. Yes, very nice. Good maps. Good mix of armor/infantry. I only had a chance to play 2 turns last night...so I'm going to quit typing, and back at it this morning!
  11. Yes, back to the dungeon! Don't come out again until your through...
  12. Looks great. Thanks for all of your hard work, E. This system is excellent, and I can't wait to see how v.2 works.
  13. Man that AAR was good. I have to admit, my interest in the desert battles has always been far less than any other area of the entire war-but my interest is growing after seeing all of the CMAK screens. Italy and Crete, however-damn I can't wait,
  14. Dear gawd... Terrible news. I hear ya all about the crummy week too. Bad stuff going on all round. All the best to ya COHG.
  15. Wow. Those screens are amazing. Great idea for the mountaintops. I'm really amazed at the level of your work, Eichenbaum. Very well thought out and beautifully executed.
  16. Beautiful shots. Those palm trees are amazing. The Italians in the pith helmets are so good it's freaking me out. Oooh boy...can't wait.
  17. Checked the Scenario depot, did a Google search-no luck. I've been reading Martin Blumenson's "Breakout and Pursuit" from the US Army's Center of Military History series. The 3 pages about the battle beginning July 7th, 1944(90th US div VS. "Group Koenig", rem. of 77th div and 15th Para reg.) sound brutal. I may have to do one if there isn't one out there...anyone seen any good photos/maps of the area? I have operational maps, but they are a bit larger than the scale I need.
  18. Er...ammo trucks on the battlefield shuttling stuff around with bullets flying is pretty unrealistic to my knowledge of WW2. Sudden Strike is the worst place to get your history, guys.
  19. Juju-amazing as usual. These are the kind of mods that I keep looking at closely in Photoshop and asking myself "HOW did he do that?" Really, really amazing.
