  1. Thanks guys @sburke - there is another Soviet AI Plan that is very different from the other, By the sound of things you've hit that. Or rather, been hit by that
  2. That's odd cos I've got a red star when I minimise the game.

  5. Hi All As you sit patiently hitting refresh I thought you might appreciate a video made using an earlier beta version of the game. http://youtu.be/eOIncJMpOcg Enjoy!
  6. Some CMRT combat footage to keep you F5 monkeys entertained... http://youtu.be/eOIncJMpOcg It was made using an earlier beta version of the game.
  7. Very droll Mr Collingwood I've corrected my errors - thanks for the heads up
  8. Some CMRT action to keep you entertained http://youtu.be/eOIncJMpOcg I made this wee video when playtesting one of the scenarios in CMRT. Hopefully salve some of the pangs...
  9. You click on the 'dot' at the end of the waypoint, then select one of the target commands.
  10. An interesting thread about the use of SPW http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=109433&highlight=half+tracks
  11. You patched your CMBN to the latest patch 2.12? Makes a huge difference.
  12. Interesting discussion. I'm making a scenario based on Von Plato's action where he wins his Knights Cross. Charlie Meconis translated his 5th Pz history for this period which has lot's of small unit action detail - although still no-where what we have become used to in CMBN and the western front. Other than that the next best source for small unit action detail is Paul Adair's 'Hitler's Greatest Defeat'. He uses Von Plato's accounts and references it. Also some small unit detail from the Soviet side. I also came across this source which was useful as a source to cross reference unit make-up and activity. I don't want to link to another commercial site but if you type in the following - Soviet 5th Guards Tank Army during Operation Bagration 3rd Guards Tank Corps and 29th Tank Corps and look for the link under flames of war you'll get an interesting wee series of articles that give some small unit detail. I then used it to cross reference against other sources. TBH it seems pretty accurate.
  13. You can see the same place as it looked in 2004 at the following link in google earth 54°19'12.97" N 28°22'10.37" E Mind it was a wee bit different in 1944. I used the Soviet map 1:50 000 (mapped in 1933 and used by the Germans) RKKA050_N-35-69-B_By`tcha_1938_greif to create the map, part of which was used for this QB with Bil and Elvis.
  14. Cheers mate TBH the additional terrain elements in the editor and the flavour objects all make a huge difference to the final look of the finished article - and that's all kudos down to the talent and efforts of the artists. Overall I reckon the 'look' of the game has been greatly enhanced. IMHO Having the terrain overlay function where you can import maps that you can effectively 'draw' your map - that's a huge time saving. It's worth taking the time with the new and additional flavour objects as it's well worth the effort when you get down and dirty in the view. I reckon you'll enjoy the new and expanded palette scenario designers now have access to.
  15. The road you can see in the screenshot are main roads leading to Borisov - however in this part of the world (and based on the info on the 1942 1:50000 map) they were around 12m wide graded dirt. To recreate this I used the 'dirt lot' tile. It smooths of the terrain tile and is a nice hard packed surface so seemed to give the effect I was after - a wide graded surface. You can see this in many period photos. Other roads use the standard 'dirt road' tile. A few tracks are just 'dirt' tiles.
  16. Whilst feedback is really useful and I am fully appreciative of anyone (and I've been extremely lucky, and grateful to, have players who really have gone the extra mile to assist me in creating scenarios by providing top notch feedback) who takes the time to comment on a scenario I've made (for good, bad or indifferent) I'm simply happy to design stuff I enjoy playing. If others appreciate it that's excellent but TBH seeking feedback from players is not a motivator for me. I just enjoy creating the things!
  17. Good luck wi yer scenario designing - the game within a game!
  18. You need the Commonwealth module to access the Waffen SS units.
  19. CH4 (UK) did a short programme that followed personalities in icon photos/film clips and followed them through a 24hr D-Day time line. fascinating stuff. Some of the guys were still alive and were interviewed. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/d-day-as-it-happens/episode-guide
  20. This is the original map the scenario map is based on. That and pics on google earth (mostly for vegetation/field info). The section Bil and Elvis are using is the is the bit centre and slightly right. It'll give you an idea of the terrain elevations.
  21. Horse is a staple ingredient of cheap burgers in the UK and Europe http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21457188
  22. The pic with the dead horse uses two flavour objects - cart + horse. I know cos I set it up It got a nibble though
