My backup hotmail address works but has a 1 meg limit, which wasn't a problem on the 2 games I used it on in ROW II. No files exceeded 600K. You mentioned sending test attachments of 2 meg. It will have a 10mb overall size limit for online storage, so you will want to delete mail as you download it. But it as no limits for file size overall, at least I have not yet hit them.
