Dang. After giving away my old cmbb and cmbo cd's when I got my G5 (after seeing how they looked in Classic), recently got a g4 tibook for cheap (which runs os9). Saw the forum thing about the 30 days cheap download deliv and was just about to order them and cmak up again. Then hit the downloads page... Hope that price will stay or return when/if you get the mac downloads happening.

Having been a big fan of CMBO and CMBB before I went fully OSX, I had heard there was a new OSX/opengl compatible version coming out. So I hit Battlefront.com to check it out. Wow! Look at all the new games. Let's check them out. Oh, this ones not OSX, nor this one, etc. Not a huge deal but for gawd sakes post what OS's the games run on on the main page so I don't have to go searching thru multiple pages to find the system requirements. For some games, there are no system requirements posted at all that I could find (Modern Naval Battles for instance). And as far as I could tell, the only thing that is OSX compatible is Drop Team. Sorry for posting in an unrelated forum, but this seems to be the most active, and there's no other place for this kind of post (direct email in I suppose).

Not just a mac, but an OSX mac. Myself, I've quit playing my versions of Combat Mission and never bothered buying CMAK because I loathe having to reboot into 9.

On the disk copy thing; 1. upgrade to at least os9 for gosh sakes. 2. do a search on your system for anything with the word "disk" in it. No idea whether or not 8 had this, but if it did, it would be something with the aforementioned word in it. In 9.2.2, it's just called "Disk Copy".

Since this thing may be starting soon, a punt to bring it to the top.

Hmmm? EZ, that was not posted at you, it was posted at Tigril's 1st post. My own defintion of a troll is a post with no useful information in it designed to sow the seeds of dissension and argument. So I take it back, it was a successful troll after all.

Also need how to learn to spell assault. Also found out in CMBB, it's a people management kind of thing. Troop's morale is very fragile. Human Waves only work with huge suppression fire. And BTW, a kickbutt 2 person scen off the cd is Jaegermeister. Great topography and challenging tactics/strategy.

Guess I kind of gave away the overall result there. Labrats was pretty wacky, I was lucky enough to have troops in position in one of the barbed wired assualts which cost John a fair bit of casualties. He did manage to get a hq unit in to contest a second flag which cost me. Now to figure out the differnce between assualt and advance for these furshlinger cmbb scens in Row III.

In the museum of the hard to believe, I'm finished all my games, including the Famed Defense of the Heavy Schnapps Plant. Kudos to John K. for perservering and maintaing a sense of humour during his connection dificulties. This is exactly as demoss describes. There will be a setup somewhere in your mail program say as he described. It's pretty easy to find in older Netscape, under preferences/mail & newsgroups/compostion. There you have a choice of inline or as attachment.

Unfortunately, it sounds like you got a corrupt download. Think you'll have to try it again. Fire it up when you go to bed and hopefully it'll be there in the morning. You also might want to look into one of those resumable download programs. Don't use them myself as I have a quick connection, but someone else might know more about them.

Oh hell. My bad. A long time ago I started getting spam from various aol.com addresses and put a filter on them. I got a couple aol from you because I was out of town and using my laptop with no filter on it. My apologies. Your aol should work fine now. Boy, do I feel stupid.
