Very nice pics.  Using Reshade, or...?

Thanks! No reshade, but a few mods. There is one for terrain called "AD CMFB Terrain" that might be giving the reshade effect (can't remember the details of the mod...been ages).

Agree with @Erwin!

Thanks! Here are some comparison pics showing modded vs stock:

It gives an xnt effect.  I can't see much different between stock vs modded.  I have most of the mods.  Looks like you desaturated the colors so the images are midway between "normal" and the "movie" mode.

I didn't add any photo effects. These are just straight screenshots with and without mods. I never use the movie mode.

Very very nice I am envy, probably you have a very good grafic card...

What are you using for mod that you said?

I'm using a GTX 1060 6GB with a nearly 12-year old i7-950. During play, I generally have graphics settings maxed except for model detail, which I leave on Improved.  But for screenshots, I always pump the level of detail to max too, so the screenshots are as good as they can be.

Here is a link to the forum page for the AD CMFB Terrain Mod by SeinfeldRules. The download link in his first post there seems to still be working.

I also have Ben Park's Snow Trees loaded, but of course, that's not changing anything for the current series of screenshots. I don't see any other terrain mods actually installed in CMFB right now, so I'm assuming the Seinfeld Rules mod is what's doing the trick.

As German point teams push hard forward on the right marsh road, it quickly becomes apparent that American manpower and courage is not exhausted there yet. A sudden firefight breaks out.

With each second, more Americans are spotted.

The fighting is close and personal.

The three German point teams quickly lose 60% of their strength.

It looks to be an even exchange for now, but enemy MMG teams are spotted in the marsh woods...

Welcome and well done with the screen shots.  Depending on image source you may find your 'allowance' for posting pictures will fill up, but you can delete old ones from your profile 'attachments' listing and they will still show up on the forum.  Hope that makes sense...

Enjoy the gaming!

Thanks.

I will try it. I signed up at Imgur, but I have nothing invested there, so I will compare them.

Had Photobucket years ago, but I see that's all changed !!!

I forgot there is no need to sign up. Just try before you give away your details.

The German push on the right marsh road grinds to a halt as the American presence and firepower there grows. The GIs quickly wipe out the remnants of the German point teams. The Germans attempt to achieve fire superiority with their machine guns, but fail to do so. The best they can do is provide covering fire while forward units fall back.

CMFB_022721_1.thumb.jpg.032e22985a262fa5d0bc78bdb9de0a5b.jpg

The stream of Americans moving north beyond the marsh grows ever thicker as the Germans struggle to find anything to interdict them with.

CMFB_022721_2.thumb.jpg.b522384195ed62d7b94b3041565687e0.jpg

Friendly units on the parallel marsh road to the left rush forward in an attempt to put flanking fire on the Americans blocking the Hetzer road and, if possible, some interdicting fire on the northern enemy movement, which also crosses perpendicular to their marsh road opening. The effort is thwarted as the Americans turn the tables on them with their own flanking fire from the Hetzer road. Several Germans go down and the rest hit the dirt and return fire as best they can.

Meanwhile, the situation continues to erode with an American spotting round falling right on German mortars packing up to reposition for direct support of the marsh road efforts.

On the German right, the enemy Rooster Gang armor forces friendly infantry there to hold fire and hide in fields and buildings while American infantry gets ever closer.

CMFB_022721_3.thumb.jpg.184998c209cb903c83723d19529aff2c.jpg

And, as if things weren't bad enough already, the Rooster Gang Sherman spots some of the German infantry grouped with the Hetzer HQ on the marsh road. It opens up on them with its .50 cal.

CMFB_022721_5a.thumb.jpg.eefc60221467229dd7989f2c481274ec.jpg

Then, it takes a shot at the HQ Hetzer.

CMFB_022721_5b.thumb.jpg.caf52cf60fa8f68dfdae341b2b891753.jpg

Luckily, the angle is bad and it does not penetrate. However, the resulting shrapnel takes out several men. One of them is the squad leader nearby. The blast and casualties shake the morale of the Germans and more units start falling back, as does the Hetzer.

And finally, to put a pretty ribbon on things, with the German left suppressed by US artillery, the GIs there have recovered their nerve and are pressing forward again.

The plan:

1st company will hold the far left flank, cover the southern marsh road against any enemy infiltration behind 2nd company, and act as a reserve. 2nd company will push on both the southern and northern (Hetzer) marsh roads. 3rd company will attack West along the main road North of the marshes that leads to the main objective being held by the Rooster Gang. 2nd and 3rd company will attempt to link up on the Rooster Gang position and then separate again to push on to the two further enemy-held objectives West of the main objective. The scout car will continue to observe the far right flank, where some new enemy movement has been detected at long range. The fully-functional Hetzer will support the attacks of 2nd and 3rd companies wherever it can. Lastly, the HQ Hetzer, which is now pretty much a scout car, will act as one and explore the far left flank, as conditions allow.

In order to facilitate this, the German force will go on the defensive for a few turns, This will allow for redeployment and a smoke screen to be called to blind the Rooster Gang. While waiting, the Germans will attempt to punish the American pushes as much as possible with HMG, mortar and small arms fire. The ambush Hetzer will remain in place for now in hopes that the RG armor will join the American push East along the main road leading to the farm where the German battalion commander currently is. And to the action...

The infantry battle continues to rage on the northern marsh road with German units doing their best to soften with area fire and engage spotted targets.

CMFB_030721_1.thumb.jpg.27f4a04bdbe0304e884c199882bf07d5.jpg

Friendly units on the southern marsh road are able to provide some flanking fire support through the marsh onto the same Americans.

CMFB_030721_d.thumb.jpg.3da81c2b925e49c03df86bb26dce825a.jpg

Both sides lose some men, but the Americans appear to suffer a bit more. A US LMG and undeployed mortar team are spotted in the US hot zone.

CMFB_030721_2.thumb.jpg.a89046a687d082be88c49d23a0fec628.jpg

Beyond the northern marsh, what looks like the whole US army continues to advance north toward the main objective just West of the Rooster Gang position. German HMG teams do what they can, but between the smoke and dodging bullets, the interdiction does not look effective. A tantalizing target indeed for German mortars, but the one currently free direct fire mortar is instead used to put light fire on the Americans at the mouth of the marsh. They are the bigger threat at the moment and it's too early in the day to risk high ammo usage.

CMFB_030721_e.thumb.jpg.8d8f03d127ae43ec5c7e6a6a58210435.jpg

Tense moments go by as the HQ Hetzer backs up and attempts to extract itself from the gaze of the Rooster Gang Sherman. The marsh foliage proves effective enough for the first leg and friendly infantry drop some smoke for the second. The Hetzer is able to get away and begins its redeployment to the far left.
