Please just at least release the PC version today

Recommended Posts

I know that there are not opinion polls on this forum ... but just +1 if you agree or something similar.

Let's not let the few in the MAC elitist crowd spoil the fun for the great, un-washed masses that have cobbled together our PC's.

I have a hunch that team BF is encountering delays with MAC issues (like the headache they had with the first patch) ....

.... So, seeing as how I have my weekend lined up for the "perfect storm" ... Live-in girlfriend out of the house, large variety of beer in the fridge, lots of easy-to-grab snacks .... and a cobbled together PC itching to load CM:CW Forces .... I propose that you release what you have and let the MAC owners wish they had gone with a PC instead!!!!

Well, speaking as a "Mac elitist", I personally have no problem if they release the PC version first, assuming it's ready prior to the Mac version.

However, I think it is quite presumptuous to assume that is actually the Mac version that is holding things up. There are far more OS & Hardware combinations that have to be tested for the PC installers...

Though I am a Mac user, I feel your pain and do not wish you to suffer...well, more than a little bit anyway. But I doubt your logic is correct. Whatever delays are involved would be the kind to effect both systems, or at least the ability of users of the two systems to be able to play against each other. As for your lost weekend...well, that's just how things work out sometimes. "The best-planned lays etc...."

Man, I dig where you're coming from, and this is the second weekend in a row I'll have available to really lay into the CW module, but they're not going to do anything until they're damned well ready, and understand they're not doing it just to piss you off but there's a reason for it.

It could still come out today. Hope springs eternal.

"Hay - how dare you suggest we Mac users are elitist you plebeian fool! Now pass me my golden iPhone and be quick about it or I'll have you flogged!"

But really... that is a spurious bit of reasoning. And for that I hope they release the Mac version first!

:D I'm glad you saw the humor in the Mac vs. PC comparison! ... because it was meant to be just that ... humorous!

I would not care if they released the Mac version ahead of the PC version. All I have access to are PCs but it would give us something to talk about, we could see the change logs and we would be one step closer to getting what we all want.

It sure beats what we usually talk about while we are waiting (ahhemm - Michael, JetSet, Sgt Shultz et al.)

;-)

BFC must have reconsidered the promise to release the change log for perusal. That would have been a rash action fraught with perils on this wolfish forum.

Seems to me that the Changelog should be published at the time of the module release.

Although I realise that the 4-6 weeks timetable for CW was merely a guideline I am still somewhat surprised that BFC haven't been more forthcoming with information as to the date of release.

I don't really know how these things usually work (but considering BFC has taken pre-orders) I imagine it would be good form to keep customers notified as to any delays. Yet, maybe I've missed the point and it's all about building expectation??

Well ... I've got the house to myself this weekend, and I still have the cold beer and snacks ... so I guess it could be worse. .... Would have been great to be holed up playing CW though!!!

Look on the bright side: Now you can go for that marathon porn session you've been dreaming about!

;):D
