A Panther tank weighs about 45 tons or so and was about 10 feet, 9 inches wide.  The bridge may hold up to wheeled traffic but not to tank traffic. I don't think this would hold up to a Panther crossing over it.

I fail to see how finding truck parts on a damaged bridge section where trucks were traveling when the explosion happened, favours the explosion being caused by a truck bomb over a missile strike.

This is a comment from another forum, and as an engineer I think this is totally correct:
The rail bridge was engulfed in a high intensity fire for hours. This will most likely have compromised the steel inside the concrete beams. Those bridge elements usually consist of prestressed concrete, meaning concrete that contains steel cables under tension when poured. This gives the elements stability and rigidity. In a high intensity fire those cables heat up which leads to the tension being released. Even after cooling, the tension is gone. The elements might look ok, but their load baring capabilities are most likely severely compromised.

TL;DR: rail bridge is ****ed. Good luck sending heavy trains over it

You're correct that you suspend a bomb 3 feet above the roadway and blow it up, the roadway will reflect the 50% of the energy from the bomb that's going downward back upwards.  But all that energy goes downward first, and the roadway experiences a reaction force equal to the force reflecting back up.  And the roadway then deforms inelastically, turning a bunch of that energy into bent metal, concrete, and shredded end connectors, and a big splash.

Another problem with the truck version is that the blast always takes the path of least resistance. If you blow up a truck with explosives on a bridge, most of the energy from the explosion will simply go up and the smallest part of the blast wave will affect the surface of the bridge.

When the Cold War (the original one ) was all the rage autobahn bridges and the like in West Germany were designed and built with chambers within them to assist with their demolition if required - Miesle Shafts.
These chambers could then be filled with special charges in time of war and allowed good demolition of the otherwise very tough reinforced concrete structures. 
Is it plausible this bridge might have been constructed with something similar. Locations where charges placed would have greater effect than otherwise. Could this have become known to UKA and they exploited a weakness in some way ?

I mean  , really  ,  do you think you would have been arguing in this same fashion during WW2   with regards American policy towards Japan  ? Why are you getting so queasy about not giving the Russians the same treatment ? Because Nukes ?
As far as I can see the Russians are behaving no better than the worst of the SS  Divisions or units of the Imperial Japanese Army  .  They slaughter civilians  with pleasure , mine schools , target civilian populations without hesitation when they are able  .  They deserve  the hangman's noose if caught and that  includes all of the current Russian leadership .
 
 

Russia owns the pipeline, or at least has full scale technical access to it. They could easily have inserted a maintenance pig into the line with the requisute quantiy of explosives on board and sent it downstream until just outside national territory. Piece of the proverbial cake.

Thus far, in 7 months, at the very least 100.000 Ukrainian civilians were murdered, half a million got deported god knows where to Russia: not a genocide.

I find it incredible that people are so hard on Germany on the war thing. "Common, sell more Leopards Fritz, can't you see the opportunity !" It's like those people haven't studied WW2 all their lives and the scariest wound that war left to this country. A country that was painstakingly rebuilt brick by brick by the people left behind. And chose instead of planning to avenge the former rival to build a new relation that seemed like the logical bond.

Isn't this generally the case with all the tanks? Also please check the part in the article where its modernizations are listed because I think you might not have.
