Leo is so widely used that it is a great alternative to M1 Abrams. The FCS is less advanced, it's an older tank than the T-90s being used.

What is displayed on the hud is correct. If they all have NVGs on their models but the hud down below says only 1, then trust the hud. You might have mods installed or it might be a bug if you dont.

This typically means that one side has more developed AI plans for it. In this case the allies have the more developed ai plan, so you will want to assign that side to the computer

Of course. To load a scenario click "Scenario editor" Then click "Load" in the top left when the scenario editor opens. From there a window will pop up displaying 6-7 folders. Incoming/Outgoing Email, Saved Games, Scenarios, Master maps, Quick Battle Maps, Campaigns You are looking for the scenario folder. Click that and you will see a list of scenarios that you can open and edit. Just save the scenario with a different name when you are finished so you dont overwrite the original.(CMRT Night At The Opera2) You can even move scenarios/maps between title to title. That is when CM really starts getting interesting.

The game feels so much better like this. Firefights are longer with more ammunition expended per kill. Close quarters battle inside houses is now possible, with troops taking time to search rooms before they find the enemy. My men rarely kill everyone in a house before they have to storm it. Not everything is perfect. Snipers miss often, AT guns shoot much much slower, javelins and other atgms take longer to fire (I find this pleasant considering how fast AT weapons can be whipped out), and the troops can stay ducked for a pretty long time. If the fanaticism is bumped up they will be more responsive. I find Extreme to be the sweet spot, since Fanatic limits the natural behavior of the AI. If you forget about troops on a balcony they can be mowed down turn after turn and will never move under fire. Here is an example of an improved experience. If my assault troops saw the enemy in the house earlier (look at 0:19), they would have killed them with rifles from afar. But since we were able to get in close enough they opted to toss a grenade through the window:

Yes from the RU. They already control most of Ukraine's oil reserves and the grain is pretty much what they'll be fighting over if they keep pushing West. The RAND document mentioned NG as an alternative, but I'm unsure of how useful that would be compared to having oil.

Russia is not a hugely modernized country. They aren't going to be producing microprocessors anytime soon (Just an example). Their population and that area in general are probably pretty good at what they do already. So grain and oil fits the Russian economic portfolio perfect.

Damn, oh well. Personally I disagree with the RAND author. Having control of all that oil is pretty significant. Perhaps less so as the years go by, but for now, oil will probably have to be imported from greater distances and in different ways, driving up the price. Of course the main war goal wasn't about the oil, but if they took Kiev and pushed South/North up the Western side of Dniepr, they probably could have somewhat safe operations (Excluding partisans). It is true that the Russians reserves are greater but I don't believe that's significant. From the RAND document: "Russia is in many ways more dependent on gas exports to Europe than the EU is on imports from Russia. According to the 2021 BP Statistical Review (PDF), in 2020, Europe—excluding Belarus—accounted for almost 78 percent of Russia's overall natural gas exports. " So to me perhaps Putin and Xi discussed economics when they met, and China decided they would buy Russian gas after the war started. Not sure what's up with India, I believe they are buying from Russia still. I agree. It seems like Europe is getting blackmailed from the start.

I can already see big issues, one off units, and also if some core units are never used in the campaign then it would be unfixable. I try to limit the Red Shirts personally. It makes no sense to have them outside of the core file. They make you careless

I believe the numbers were 80% oil production or extraction or whatever from the Luhansk and Donbass regions. There were also other parts included in that I believe. And the second % was of grain production. The area around and NE of Odessa (pretty much around the Dniepr) produces a lot of grain.

Did we miss the part where there were 850 documented tank losses on Oryx? Can you imagine if that happened to the US?
