  1. It's much lighter than other MBT's but it has the 130mm gun. What's the catch? Or have computer simulations found a better armor configuration and we are seeing it implemented.
  2. I am able to trim the map Rad full 2 from the original 5.7 x 5.7km and I am able to run it at the normal fast amount of fps at 5 x 5km. Map is originally for CMRT but works on all the games except CMSF2.
  3. @Kevin2k Maps 252, 80 109, 127 look great. These were from the base + CW folder
  4. The push toward lightweight synthetics and overall the ECWCS style of dressing makes being soaked with water less of an issue. The ability to walk yourself dry in an hour would be invaluable for a recce role. Who knows what they are wearing, but that's what I would if I had to cross rivers multiple times. A merino wool baselayer would migitate your odor. Though I'm not sure how big of a deal body odor would be in an environment like this. There must be all sorts of smells in the air like the artillery bursting around them. In any case I imagine they're not too far from the front so maybe it's not as big of an issue.
  5. Sure if it isn't a hassle please send it over. Sorry slow morning for me. For now I'll scout out the CW scenarios, they are all likely fantastic maps.
  6. Ok cool I have xp drives but no old cd unless i looked on ebay or whatever. I'll clear some maps and get in touch with you when I'm ready. Hopefully they work. Thank you
  7. How big is the installer? Maybe we can have it transferred here. I've been playing SF2 but the terrain is pretty disappointing. there are a few maps I can think of that may port. THEORY: I wonder if CMBN had the classic trenches like CMSF at one point. Then they updated how maps worked and that may have broken it.
  8. Whistlindiesel (A youtuber) already showed us the Toyota Hilux is one of the toughest pickups you can buy. I cant speak for the new ones but I expect the same.
  9. How do you get your hands on the old version of CMBN? Also is CW the newest we can go? I assume that was the first module
  10. Looking back at this, this is a low number. But I would agree this is what's up for small unit actions. If your platoon takes 15% casualties you better hope that's the only objective it has to take, because the next action will see an even larger hit on your troops.
  11. Here is the db link to the scenario if you would like: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0bpajxtvqfn68dx/shipfight.btt?dl=0
  12. Here is my Bismarck, but the turret housings are a bit too large. It's all for fun, I can certainly make an 8 x 2 km water map and try it on there as well
  13. Haha, that's what the Worchester map by TheForger is all about. I'm playing a pbem vs the luftwaffe on it right now actually. I created a couple more "ships" but unfortunately being unable to create flat roofs in CMRT prevents me from going any further in the 3d Editor. I might be able edit the map in a modern title and then port it back to CMRT. CMRT has so many big guns. CMFB has a couple but unfortunately for the Germans only. Despite this I could pull off 6" guns pretty reasonably with 2 hummels side by side. Like the Bismark, or Tirpitz, or the Lutzow. Glad you found it interesting
  14. Sure, but what's the stability of the ordinance like after however many decades in storage. It's better than nothing I suppose, but wow.
  15. Holy crap AT-3. I would be scared to even handle one of those at this point in time.
  16. That's literally what I wrote to you about. The 120mm SPEAR is a little system that they advertise off the bed of a humvee. 15RPM, 7000m range (on the video... not sure what full power would be), with a time to target of 1.5 minutes.
  17. I'm having trouble finding any kind of shoot and scoot timing for this. I didn't find anything official but one website mentioned a 2 minute setup, and another website mentioned a 1 minute packup after firing. Neither of these were credible sources. The 120mm mortar SPEAR has an advertised time to target of 90seconds. I assume this means deployment time until the shell lands. They didn't specify a range for that though.
  18. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like. (actually something they advertised)
  19. Now that's what I'm talking about. I didn't read too much into that article but if the system is cheap (Hopefully the only innovation is the recoil reduction system) then it could be fielded all over the place quickly and cause serious attrition along the front line. That Patria is cool, but the whole heavy weapons platform never appealed to me. I'm looking at you Stryker MGS. I personally think they should have 30mm autocannons/atgms at the most. Anything heavier is going beyond what is reasonable for that platform. IMO.
  20. I agree. The 120mm mortar can't fire as far as a similar caliber howitzer. They have a totally different trajectory anyway, apples and oranges. Of course now counter battery radars on the battlefield change things up. I don't see mortars going anywhere yet, but it's easy to see why they would rather operate a platform with longer range. Advanced man-portable weapons with smaller munitions will be the future. Having the ability to quickly move and hide your equipment on the battlefield will be extremely valuable. If there was a platform similar to caesar with a 105mm gun, I would say heck yeah. That little wagon could shoot and scoot super fast.
  21. 105s might be light and fast, but theyre much closer to the front line, and much closer (in seconds) to enemy counter battery fire. Close range artillery could be done with a new, specialized department of the artillery battalion with modernized toys. But in their current configuration I see them as easy kills
  22. I really hope there wont be a CMBS2 but rather extensive, quality modules for CMBS. Hoping to see T-80BVM, T-80U/UK/UE-1, and T-72B3M.
  23. The Syrian tanks look like tits in this mod! So good!!! Look like theyre straight out of Uralvagonzavad!!!! Is the Syrian force only the Bong Hai Army or is there a Russian version. I'm not sure how to differentiate between the two versions of H&E anymore, but I'll do some searching in the meantime. Easily CM's best mod.
  24. Any DPR veterans left? Barely. Any LPR veterans left? Not really. Ok. RuAF in Donbass Pre-2022 veterans overall? Probably very few if any left. Syria veterans? A select few maybe. Afghanistan veterans? VDV (Russia's highest density of contracted personel)? How about higher staff? The RuAF is without a doubt a conscript army at this point.
