  1. I had tried this, the unit will ignore the face command until it has stopped. Ace mod had beautiful fragmentation. The best mod developed for any game ever in my humble opinion. In CMBS I've had large artillery land on top of a squad killing half the squad. A man standing on the edge of the crater lived and a man further away was killed. It is very odd. Previously on this forum it was mentioned artillery was toned down. I'd prefer that the price was raised, and heavier hitting. I've also read artillery was the number one cause of death in previous wars. Speaking of this, I've also heard some army concluded tests on armored vehicles with artillery, and the results were devastating to the side hulls of AFV's, tank or apc.
  2. Don't know if one has already been made, a quick search concluded that there are none(Or it very well may be six feet under). I think we should have a turret rotation feature. You tell the vehicle where to look in a general direction but keep the chassis straight. This would help wonders in urban battles. Different from target arc. Many times the turret turning speed accounts for losses. It would be different from target arc since the unit isnt required to fire in that predefined space. It's just a better way of spotting. Besides, when do you ever see vehicles defined to turret perfectly front and center all the time. Bring the criticism!
  3. I've had plenty of complete bull**** spotting occasions. Bmp3k rolls up to the side of a btr4e 150m away behind thin line of trees, front facing it. Bmp waits 30 seconds and then btr turns and engages. My poor VDV cant survive without their bmp... err bmd4... performing normally!

  5. Back in 2011, Steve had mentioned a hybrid bundle option for those of us that have mac and windows operating systems. Has there been any word since? Can't find any bundle for CMBS. This is the link where it was discussed. Furthermore, I thought I had once seen one of the admins post something about a licence key working for both platforms, but I can't find it. Can anyone confirm? I really want to verse my pops!
  6. I had used a scenario but replaced the units with a selection of my own. I think this was an unusual bug And for sure! If they weren't fleeing from mortars (which were within ~75m), I'm sure the houses wouldve suited nicely. Maybe they had driven through the house from the fear! "When do we get MRAPs?!"

  9. I used to play UO on A2. How active is the community nowadays? Still 40 people playing at any normal time? UO was the only ShackTac-esque community i could get my hands on

  13. Thank you for the speedy reply. I was pretty plastered last night when I wrote that. Anyhow thanks for the information. I couldnt find anything regarding engine version on shock force, so when I saw 1.3.2 I had assumed 3rd engine 2nd update. Will assign the proper bindings when I an home. I hope to see everything in Shock Force ported over to Black Sea if the engine wont be updated. Perhaps giving the people with SF a discount! ;-) Furthermore, I think one game over multiple would be a better marketing strategy for Battlefront. The market for a solid, realistic RTS is lacking. Battlefront could take over if they had just made one game with everything packed into it. Using modules to update the game with more content. I can understand why a series of games doesnt appeal to everyone over one unified game. People want to be able to use the content all together. Exactly why I'd like to see everything from SF into Black Sea. But then it probably wouldnt even be Black Sea anymore. Would need a new name! (I'll probably make a post on this sometime since its non related) Thanks again!!!
  14. Hi guys, I just dropped $86 on Shock Force and its expansions. Having started my Combat Mission extravaganza with Black Sea, I had expected a way to assign keys the way I'd like. As it stands, I just wasted my money on a game I can't control. The controls just don't work for me. My question to the devs is- can you guys please add the controls editing like how it is in Black Sea? I am extremely disappointed the game is on the V3 engine but still doesn't allow alternate controls support. Also, I hope to see all the unit types ( especially the Challenger 2 and Leopard 2) implemented in Black Sea. I am willing to pay for the expansions. Although, after all, they may just be ports from SF. I hope you guys resolve my issue, I am not fond of using these specific controls, as I like the option to choose. If anyone has a fix please let me know! Thanks, Tyler
