Currently I have a UI mod for SF2 in the works. I wanted to release it before now but I'm trying to go one step further than the BS mod and improve on some things. I hope to get it to a place where I'm happy with it in a month or so There'll also be an update to the BS mod since many aspects of that mod have evolved since the last version. Here's a screenie shot from my SF2 version (by way of preview) of what you'll get.

It's a professional 'ice' hockey men's league  in North America. Simply titled as the National Hockey League. Very close to a religion for us Canadianas... and an attempt on my part to inject a little levity while we await the "pending" patches.

I trust the TacAI for most things... BUT I use the 'M' key (Armour Target Arc) for AT assets as the modern titles are too lethal for it to be left to chance.
I kind of surprised a few seem to forgo it's use. When I want me AT teams to use their Javelins against structures or other targets such as ATGMs - then I cancel the arc. I'm not sure the cases used by some point to a specific deficiency at least in regards to the modern titles.

Three and a half hours from the deadline. The Sens are asking for the patches in any deal for Mark Stone. C'mon BFC - don't let us down!

The good news is the trade deadline is Monday 3:00pm eastern and we've thankfully run out of Senator players to trade to the Blue Jackets. Stone also seems to be still on the team... crossing fingers he'll sign as opposed to be given away for a bag of pucks.
While most teams tank to secure the first overall pick in the draft - my Sens do this when they DON'T!
    Is Melnyk gone yet?

That's interesting.  Target Arcs only work at & after the waypoint they are assigned so I did not expect this behavior from the Hide command.

    You can calm down now.
I never scrolled past the Cm2 section. No need to look at TacOps and Cm1.

Yes, money being to most efficient way to project said power. It allowed the US to become the preeminent military and economic power it is today. Too many seem to think that another global conflict will simply be averted by posting trolling nationalistic nonsense on facebook.
With a long history of peaceful changeover of power domestically through representative democracy and the institutionalized respect for the rule of law, the rest of the world had one less autocracy to contend.
Unfortunately, the first salvo in the current conflict is cyber and the western democracies are slow to mitigate efforts from certain foreign state actors to undermine the underlining institutions (free press/judiciary/wealth distribution/etc.). It's taking them time to realize that building another tank or plane isn't going to work.
It was never as simple as building a wall or retreating from the global community. We have two millennia of tribalism to prove this doesn't work. One needs to wonder what has transpired in the last 70+ years that has caused large global conflicts to be avoided. I don't know, maybe we are all better off growing our militaries,  projecting geopolitical power in isolation and treating all interaction as zero sum. I'm sure we're better served with fewer diplomats and international organizations.
Western democracies have been slow to recognize the weaponization of refugees, the undermining of institutions, and the inequality of wealth distribution.
We don't need another weapon system - we need to stop the balkinization of telecommunications and encourage more transparency in government. We need to recognize that economic sanctions alone isn't going to be enough. The big boys need to arrive at a understanding as to what constitutes allowable cyber warfare/espionage in polite society. Until then - enjoy the continued constant information and influence attacks on western democracies.

Howler reacted to IICptMillerII in CMSF 2 - a few unrelated observations
I think the confusion might be over the upcoming patches and what they entail.
As far as I know, the patches will have title specific fixes, as well as overall engine fixes. For example, it has been mentioned that the BAR and Bren guns in the WWII titles will return to firing bursts at long range while stabilized. This is obviously exclusive to the WWII titles.
The big overall engine fix will be to the TAC AI abandoning its positions while under direct or indirect HE fire. This fix has already been applied to the release of CMSF2, so the behavior we are seeing in CMSF2 is what we will see in all other 4.0 titles once the patches are released. I personally think it is a great improvement over the base 4.0 behavior.
What is not currently 100% clear is whether or not there will be a title specific patch for CMSF2 along with the rest of the patches. I suspect not, though I have no firm proof to back this up. Just my hunch.

Because, it's a completely inappropriate comment to post on this board. PERIOD.
Further, it shows a total disregard for the work of others. There too many games available for free and/or through legitimate after market means (i.e. gog.com)  for it to be anything other than a sign of entitled immaturity.
It's a much better use of one's time to instead make the effort to change the law to ensure a healthy public domain. What society has forgotten is that copyright exists to produce works for the public good. A debate can be had as to whether 50-75 years  after the death of the creator is reasonable to serve this need. Such a debate such  be moved to another board.
I'd ignored the OP but your response dragged me in...

Tracers aren't 'just' tracers. They impart valuable information to the player. They give you information on the volume of fire, the velocity of the round being fired (the longer the tracer the higher the velocity), they tell you which of your units are doing the firing and which aren't. They even give hints about the round's caliber. Before CMFB Sturmtiger switched to firing a 3-D rocket model it was firing a 'tracer' that looked like a glowing yellow trash can - a very big and very short tracer.
A lot of players are in the habit of keeping their camera 20 feet up and 20 feet back while playing, That means the more subtle clues about whether a unit is engaging a target is lost
