” Five Days One Summer" campaign
This is a six mission campaign (with up to four possible branches involving a total of thirteen missions), involving II./SS-Pz.Rgt. 5 and III “Germania” which were part of Kampfgruppe Mühlenkamp, covering a period of intense combat in eastern Poland to prevent the Soviet spearheads of the 2nd White Russian Front from advancing westwards during the week 16-22 July 1944.p> Really looking forward to this campaign. One of my favorite periods of fighting on the Eastern front, with the Wiking (and Totenkopf) division desperately trying to stop the Russian steam roller. Buy Douglas E. Nash books on the IV. SS Panzerkorps and you will be in for a wonderful autumn full of exploding tanks and fascinating tactics.
”Tigers at Ogledow" campaign
This campaign covers a very well-known engagement where King Tigers from "Schwere Panzer-Abteilung 501 commanded by Major von Legat underwent their combat debut on the Soviet/German front when they encountered elements from the 1st Guards Tank Army during operations to reduce the Soviet Baranov Bridgehead in August 1944. This campaign was a lovely surprise for me. A very interesting part of the Eastern front in August 1944 and a great opportunity to smash the Baranov bridgehead or at least experience why the Germans couldn't pull that off. 
13 standalone scenarios
These scenarios range in size from small platoon sized engagements to battalion sized engagements on 12km squared maps. As the use of German SPW is a theme in this battle pack there is a series of three ‘training’ scenarios to help the player become familiar with getting the best out of this type of unit. All the standalone scenarios are geared towards both head to head play and against the AI. Another nice surprise in this Battlepack! As good looking as  they are, SPWs are hard to handle and even harder to keep alive. From small platoon sized engagements to battalion sized engagements on 12km squared maps!
14 Master Maps
New maps based on maps from the Battle Pack missions. Maps made by George are the best around. It doesn't get any better than fighting on one of his maps for the ultimate Eastern front feeling.
For anyone even slightly interested in the Eastern front, this battlepack is a must have. George is one of the few people who keeps on producing high quality and detailed scenarios and campaigns, so pre-order this battlepack, folks, and show him it's highly appreciated!

If you reach out and ask about a mod to be made like you are ordering an effing pizza, please stop and think that MAYBE, effing MAYBE, that somebody really took a long time to climb a steep learning curve, their OWN fault--sure, but damn, this aint no easy pluck it off a tree. Modders are often gifted (ARIS?) but some barely get by with luck and long hours. They try to work with newbies and the newbies don't even reply.

Managed a wee run at terraforming. Might be it for a wee while, so pleased with this bonus progress.
Most of the work has ben tidying up around Jasienica and creating Borki and its surrounding fields.
So first image is overall view of the map looking NE. Jasienica is the long village in the top centre, and just behind is Borki.

So the scene above shows the main combat area where towards late morning/mid-day on the 18 August 1944  II. BtL./Germania's two other companies, (the 5. and 6), were nearly overrun southwest of Tluszcz near Jasienica by Soviet tanks and infantry that had broken through Jadwinin (which is off-map in the top left hand side of the map) before a counterattack launched by SS-Hauptsturmführer Hans Flügel II. Abt./SS-Pz.Rgt. 5, supported by a Schutzenpanzerwagen company from Ill Btl./Germania, drove them off after destroying 12 Soviet tanks . The SPW company pulled back  leaving Flügel's small panzergruppe on their own. This lack of infantry support would come back to bite them later and set the scene for his command's rather harrowing next 12 hours - an episode he describes in detail and printed in full in Ewald Klapdor's history 'Viking Panzers'.
Anyway before that 'adventure' his panzergruppe attacked from (through?) Borki, and the 7th and 8.Kp./SS-Pz.Rgt.5 were immediately engaged and cut to pieces the Soviet infantry who had pushed forward. Twelve Russian tanks were destroyed during this fight*. 
NOTE: I have the original combat diary of 8th Guards Tank Corps and my translation states they went into action at 1200Hrs -1230Hrs. It also mentions 1500Hrs but I'm unable to confirm what happened at that point as its very unclear. looking at what happened next i think they simply by-passed Flügel's command on its east side (it was becoming pinned by Soviet infantry infiltrating through woods to its side and rear) and headed over the rail embankment - but TBH the whole fight in this area was one huge sprawling dogfight.
*There is an interesting side note to this as I have found some evidence that his command was ambushed and lost a lot of Panthers BUT there is no record of this happening either from the German or Soviet side. So I do wonder if these images show his command pinned - he mentions they pretty much sat there watching Soviet infantry march past... Do the images show his command sitting tight and playing doggo? I turned this upside down so top of the image is north.

Yep its the new way of working.
No activation code does not download or extract anything. It has to already be there.
This is the magic. Except its not magic or even rocket science
It used to be there was a base game which could be patched and modules were separate downloads that added components. That lead to plenty of confusion and the need to know what was installable in what order.
Those days are gone. Everyone gets all the content on their systems and the keys just unlock what you get to play with. But you have to have the latest version when new content comes out. Guess why: because they deliver the new content in a patch and update the full installer so that everyone who updates has the new content files on their HD. All they then need to do is activate the key.
So technically the "There is no download for this product." is only partially correct. At this moment you do need to download something - the 2.12 patch. There is still no download directly tied to the battle pack but you do need the latest version of the game. After the 2.12 patch is out anyone that buys Red Thunder will already have the content they need to play the battle pack (and the other modules).
Everyone gets the new version and they can download the patch to move their 2.11 (or earlier) version to 2.12. Or they can download the full installer whatever works for you. We all get any fixes that go into that version, if there are any. Then at that point anyone who wants to purchase (or already did) can activate the battle pack.
Then it will work.

Yes, most of the upgrades have been like that. I do not understand this sorcery either lol.

Excellent timing with the darkness of autumn ahead. Very curious about those master maps too.

Thanks George MC, can't wait to fight it out.  Fighting w german mechanized troops is one of the most fun tactical bits of WW2.
