dragonwynn got a reaction from 37mm in CMRT Mini-Campaign: The Hill
The Hill is a 3 battle mini-campaign of a semi-historical action of the 6. SS Panzergrenadier Regiment (Totenkopf) during August, 1943 near the Mius River. The regiment Totenkopf is tasked with holding Hill 203.4 southeast of the town of Marinovka against the assault by the 40th Guards Rifle Division during the 3rd, 4th and 5th of August.

Under the command of Sturmbannfuhrer Hansen your orders are to hold the hill at all costs with the resources available until relief arrives.

Very little intel is available so you must allocate your forces and anticipate where the attacks will be concentrated. The setup zone allows for you to reposition all forces available except for the command bunkers and associated support units at the very top of the hill. Choose carefully in your positioning and consider having a reaction force available if things get "exciting".

This campaign is designed with the latest game version and is playable from the German side only. Due to the map size and units involved it may play slowly on older systems. It is designed primarily as a infantry engagment though armor will play a role for both sides.

The campaign showcases tagged mods from Vein and Umlaut. All the required mods and tags are included in the download. Simply put the mod folder in your data z directory and the .cam file in your campaign directory.

Make sure to read all the briefings as they drive the storyline as well as information for each scenario.

The entire campaign takes place on a single map that is my first map creation attempt. However in my infinite wisdom the map was 95% completed when I realized my orientation was wrong. So during the campaign ignore the compass. North is south and east is west so let the imagination juices flow.

I hope you enjoy the campaign and any comments or suggestions are welcome on this thread.

Units involved in the campaign are as follows:

    Germans (Totenkopf)

    1. 6.SS Panzergrenadier Regiment
    2. 3.SS Panzer Aufklarung Abt.
    3. 3.SS Panzer Pioneer Kompanie
    4. II/SS Panzer Regiment 3

    Russians

    1. 40th Guards Rifle Division
    2. Elements of the 37th Guards Tank Brigade

    CMFB Campaign: Fields of Tears
Fields of Tears is a interactive CMFB Campaign that picks up where my CMBN Campaign: In the Fields Where the Poppies Grow leaves off and follows the actions of Captain Charles Stevens and A Company, 31st Tank Battalion, 7th Armored Division, around St. Vith, Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge.
It requires the latest version of CMFB and all immersion mods needed are in the download. They are tagged to this campaign only.
It is playable from the Blue Side only.
The campaign is a story driven campaign like "Poppies" where you must keep Stevens and other important personnel alive and still complete the mission objectives to advance in the campaign. The storyline is in the Designer Notes for each mission.
The campaign begins with a mission in Germany and then continues after the Germans launch their Ardennes offensive Unternehmen Wacht am Rhein. Elements of the 7th Armored Division, the 31st Tank Battalion, including Captain Stevens and A Company are sent to the St. Vith area where they are to make contact and destroy the enemy forces advancing on the town.

US and German Snowy Uniforms and Gear by Ithikial.
    King Tiger Mod by PzPJ
American Sherman Pack and Gear by Aris
    Snowy US Vehicles by Umlaut
Mords US Portraits by Mord (modified by me with the unit insignias used in the campaign.)
Various winter fortifications from the Winter Mod by the Winter Mod Team
Assorted damaged vehicle textures by me
Special Note: I used Worghern Blitzkrieg Environment : CMFB 2.0 while designing the campaign which is not included in the download. I highly recommend adding this as the campaign was designed and modified using these textures as well as the Winter Mod for CMFB which will work seamlessly with Worgherns mod.. While it can be played without these I highly recommend using them as the tags in the campaign will pick them up.
Here is the link to download Worghern Blitzkrieg Environment : CMFB. http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=3984
Here is the link to download Kohlenklau’s Winter Mod for Final Blitzkrieg. http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=3991&
Also Umlauts Snowy German Vehicle mods are not included but highly recommended.
Once again to follow the storyline read the Designers Notes.
I hope it proves to be enjoyable.

Recently kohlenklau who is heading up the mod team of the Finnish Mod asked me to contribute a short campaign to go with the mod pack. Below are the details.
    The Battle of Tali-Ihantala

The Battle of Tali-Ihantala is a CMRT Mini-Campaign depicting the actions of the Finnish IV Army Corps during June -July 1944 on the Karelian Isthmus. It was designed
originally with version 3 of CMRT but was finished with version 4. However none of the new features in version 4 were incorporated into this campaign. It should
play out fine in either version but let me know if problems arise.
As always let me know of any corrections or problems as the campaign has only been quick tested.

The battles depicted in this campaign, which is part of the Continuation War  had been going since 1941. It focuses mainly on the actions of Finnish 18th Division and
several supporting units. I tried to tag each unit with the correct Finnish abreviations as well as included the actual commanders but if any of our Finnish players
see anything totally screwed up let me know. Below is a listing of the core units:
    Core Units:
    1 P JR48 (1 Battalion Infantry Regiment 48) Eversti (Col.) Vaino Forsberg
    2 P JR48 (2 Battalion Infantry Regiment 48)
    2 P JR6 (2 Battalion Infantry Regiment 6)
    2 P JR12 (2 Battalion Infantry Regiment 12) Eversti (Col.) Yrjo Hanste
    3 P JR13 (3 Battlion Infantry Regiment 13) (Company of Swedish Volunteers)
    1 Er.P 16 (Seperate Battalion 16)
3 Jaeger JP (Jaeger Battalion) Eversti (Col.) Albert Puroma
1 Er.Pion.K (Pioneer Battalion) Everstiluutnantti (Lt. Col.) Reino Inkinen
Panssaridivisoona ( 2 Rynnakkotykki Assault Gun Battalion) Kenraalimajuri (Maj. Gen.) Ruben Lagus
Sturm Brigade 303 (German Assault Gun Unit) Hauptman Friedrich Scherer
    1/SG3 (Lufftwaffe)(Gefechtsverband Kuhlmey) Ju-87D Ground Attack Aircraft
    1/SG5 (Lufftwaffe)(Gefechtsverband Kuhlmey) Fw-190F8 Ground Attack Aircraft
    Soviet Forces:
    45th Guards Rifle Division
    63rd Guards Rifle Division
    27th Tank Regiment
    30th Armoured Brigade
    Campaign Tree:
    1. The Assault on Tali
    2. Portinhoikka Crossroads
    3. Counterattack at Tali
    4. The Road Block at Ihantala
This campaign features the excellent Finnish Mod Pack designed by the team put together by kohlenklau and all credit goes to them. The mod pack is included
in the download. I added a Finnish Stug III mod to the pack to represent the Finnish armoured units. The mods are tagged for this specific cmapaign and should not interfere with any other campaigns or battles with the exception of the Finnish voice pack included in the mod folder. Remove this folder after playing or your German pixeltruppen may speak Finnish.
All the maps were hand created by me based on what information I could find and google maps. Hopefully they represent the battle locations reasonably accurate.
Also be sure to read the campaign designer notes as I have added some historical information about the battle.
    Hope it proves enjoyable

(I am looking for a few play testers to give this campaign a try and to offer suggestions or find bugs. For anyone interested PM me and I will send you the link.)
The Mountains of Allah: Operation Scepter is a CMBS Campaign depicting a hypothetical incursion into Chechnya by Russian military forces to find and locate a Islamic Warlord named Abukhan Zakayen and his militant forces that have been launching attacks into the Russian homeland. In the campaign you are in command of elements of 58th Army stationed in the North Caucasus District. Your force consists of:
1 Bn 20th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade (Core Unit)
2 Bn 20th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade (Core Unit)
    22nd Spetsnaz Brigade (Core Unit)
1 Bn 108th Guards AA SLT Regiment (Airborne VDV) (Core Unit)
2 Bn 108th Guards AA SLT Regiment (Airborne VDV) (Core Unit)
Other Units Featured During the Campaign:
    19th Motor Rifle Brigade
    33rd Mountain Recon Brigade
    The Enemy Forces:
The Wolves of Islam: Commander Abukhan Zakayen
    The Lecha (Falcon) Brigade
    The Makkahl (Black Kite) Brigade
    The Azyru (Eagle) Brigade
The campaign consists of 9 battles and features offensive, defensive and special operations missions. It takes place in January 2017 and features the excellent Winter Modification Mod designed by the WMT for CMRT but that works seemlessly in CMBS. I have included my own additional modifications of winter effects for all vehicles and troops in the campaign for immersiveness.
The Chechens are featured using Blimy's excellent Seperatists Mod under the Ukranian Digital Cammo slot to give them a militant feel. I added some winter effects to them also for immersiveness.
The maps are all my creations with the exception of two heavily modified quick battle maps. Some are based on actual places and some are fictional.
The actions depicted here are all hypothetical, though they are based on some real world data.
In Chechen society many names and titles are based on their respect for nature and its wildlife. Thats why I used actual Chechen Muslim names for the miltary formations used in this campaign.
Be sure to read the Designer Notes at the Campaign beginning to understand the background that leads to the conflict. Its a bit lengthy but has some interesting real world data that leads into the storyline.
Once I get it tested by a few players I will release to everyone.
    Regards

dragonwynn got a reaction from 37mm in CMBN British Campaign: For King and Country
    For King and Country
How can I live among this gentle
Obsolescent breed of heroes, and not weep?
    Unicorns, almost,
For they are falling into two legends
In which their stupidity and chivalry
Are celebrated. Each, fool and hero, will be an immortal
    -Keith Douglas, 1942
For King and Country is a CMBN Commonwealth campaign that follows the actions of the 1 Regiment Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry from their landings at Gold Beach on the Normandy coast on June 6th, 1944 and the hard fought battles through France until June 26, 1944.
I have tried to keep it as historical as possible based on what research I could dig up though a few of the engagements should be considered semi-historical.
After the British moved inland there were many small battles that were waged across the French countryside so to keep some variety I have "created" a few of these engagements. However, to keep to the flavor of historical, most of the included scenarios are actual battles and I have tried to model them as accurately as I could portray.
Most of the battles are offensive operations as the German forces during this time were on the defensive. You can expect to see some counterattacks however as this was the common strategy for the Germans.
I also have included the actual commanders of the various troop HQ's of the regiment. However the chain of command must be considered to be semi-historical as there were a number of leadership changes of the SRY as they fought across France during the real campaign due to casualties or simply reshuffling of the command structure. The leadership tree in this campaign is setup to reflect what the actual command structure was at the end of June.
This campaign can be considered a preqel to my previous CMBN campaign Operation Clipper: The Geilenkirchen Salient which includes the SRY also.
    About the Campaign:
    This campaign requires the following:
    CMBN Game Engine 4
    CW Module
    Market Garden Module
    Vehicle Pack
It is designed for single player only from the blue side. All the information here is also in the designers notes of the campaign.
Most of the battles and maps are medium to large so it could impact some older PC's.
    The Campaign Tree:
    1. Gold Beach (Allied Attack)
    2. The Ridge (Allied Attack)
    3. A Meeting at Hervieu (Meeting Engagement)
    4. A Hard Day in Hottot (Allied Attack)
    5. Tea Time in Cristot (Allied Attack)
    6. Fontenay (Allied Assault)
    7. The Assault of Rauray (Allied Assault)
    8. The 12th SS Counterattacks (Axis Attack)
    Victory Conditions:
A Draw will advance you through the campaign. However careful management of the core units (SRY) is vital. You will get some replacements later in the campaign.
Also the primary leadership is essential to preserve as the Germans get high points for killing top HQ assets.
    Maps:
All the maps were created by the author (me) and I have tried to get them as accurately as possible based on google maps, drawings and old photographs I could find. Most are medium to large maps.
    Unit Tree:
    1 Rg SRY (Core Units)
    HQ - Maj S.D. Christopherson
    2 x Sherman V Tanks
    HQ Squadron - Maj R.Sutton-Nelthrope

    8. 1 Bn 25th SS PzGr Regiment
    9. SS PzRg 12

    Mods:
As is common for most of my campaigns I use featured mods by some of our very talented modders of the CM series. Below is a list and all credit goes to them.
    1. Aris Vehicle Textures (I have modified a few with the (hopefully) correct unit symbols or to represent damaged or destroyed vehicles
    2. Mords Unit ID (The featured British units (except non core armor units) have the correct ID patches that will show up in the UI)
    3. Various terrain modifications
    4. EZJax CMBN Uniform Heer (Lehr)
    5. EZJax CMBN Uniform SS
All mods needed are included with the download and are tagged to this campaign so they should not interfere with any other scenarios or campaigns.
The campaign has been tested but if any issues arise please let me know. Also any suggestions are welcome and I will make any adjustments necessary.
I hope the campaign will prove enjoyable.

    Special Note:
The first mission Gold Beach can prove to be a beast. To quote Captain Miller " Get your men off the beach" will be an understatement.  "Keep em moving".

dragonwynn got a reaction from RockinHarry in New file at the Repository: In the Fields Where the Poppies Grow (2014-12-07)
In the Fields Where the Poppies Grow was my first attempt at campaign creation and is still very special to me. Since then I have created a few more and during that time learned a great deal of the mechanics as well as the creative process of making campaigns/scenarios on CMx2. I also learned that I had made a huge number of mistakes in "Poppies". The AI was atrocious,( I was clueless in how to create and setup AI plans) and the campaign showed it. It was my first attempt at mod tagging, of which the mod folder was forgotten to be attached to the upload.
So I have gone back and revisted "Poppies" and have totally reworked the entire campaign. The storyline is the same as are the units and the characters that make up the storyline. However I have made what I hope are some good improvements that will make this campaign what I had envisioned it to be in the beginning.
The AI has completely been revamped on all missions. It is now more aggressive and the units are tagged to their AI plans correctly. All the plans have been adjusted or changed completely. Setup zones for the enemy should be correct now. Triggers have been added on alot of missions. The German forces will not go down easy.
Some German units have been changed or had their positions moved around.
The scoring system in the campaign has also been reworked. There are many more opportunities for both sides to score points so every unit is important as its loss can hurt.
I have also reworked some of the maps slightly. Some roads have been straightened out (mainly on the first 2 maps) to elimnate the motion sickness caused by zigzagging .
A few maps have had small things like walls or boccage adjusted, mainly visual stuff.
The heart of this campaign is the same. You take the role of 1st Lt. Stevens as he moves his company across the war torn landscape of Normandy, France. It is a story of men at war.
Hopefully those that played it previously will revisit it again as it will offer a different and hopefully better challenge. For those that have not played it I hope you will give it a try. As always let me know of any problems or bugs.
Here is the link and I hope it proves enjoyable. Put the .cam file in your campaign folder in your game directory and the mod folder which is included into your data/z directory.

    Maps:
The first battle, Antons Bridge, is an original map by me.
The other maps in the campaign are from the excellent master maps that came with the game. I reworked them extensively to achieve the immersion I was after for the campaign.
Mods: (All credit goes to the authors of the mods)
I hope it proves to be enjoyable.

dragonwynn got a reaction from kondor999 in CMRT Campaign: The Last Panzer (Work in Progress
Ok I am going to go ahead and release the campaign to everyone. Thank you to the play testers that tried it out. Hopefully I have made the corrections and adjustments that were suggested. There are two links. The first is the entire campaign and mod folder. Download this first and place the included mod folder in your dataz folder. Ignore the .cam file included with the first download.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/02ju1ce0itcv4lh/The%20Last%20Panzer.zip?dl=0
The second is the updated cam file. Download and place the cam file in your campaign directory. You should be good to go.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/u5hjzdh5o1cwmn4/The%20Last%20Panzer.cam?dl=0
The new cam file has the following corrections:
    1. The first battle The Corridor has two units of forward observers added to the 25th Panzer Grenadiers defensive positions. This will give you access to the artillery assets that were added earlier but could not be utilized.
     2. The second battle The Farm has some adjustments made to the Russian force disposition. Not telling you what lol.
Hopefully this will fix all the corrections and suggestions that the testers made. As always any problems encountered message me so I can get them corrected. Hopefully all will be good. For those who have not tried this yet I hope it proves enjoyable.

Here is the new download link to the CMRT Campaign The Last Panzer. I have gone through and upgraded most of the mods. It now uses the most up to date release of the Winter Modifications and includes most every mod that the team has designed which should now eliminate some of the graphic anomolies that were popping up due to mod conflicts. This campaign uses most of their fine work but still allows for the changing weather conditions as the campaign advances.
I also went through and added additional snow effects to nearly all the vehicles involved in the missions that have snow for a more complete feel. I just wasnt satisfied with them appearing half done. Of course some of the Winter Modification vehicles are included along with the ones I have modded.
Cleaned up a few boo boos in some of the missions like me forgetting to delete some flavor objects that were put down as a test in one mission. Also repositioned a few things that were annoying to me like a destroyed Russian vehicle that was positioned half way in a house. Not sure how I did that.
I have had very little feedback on this thing so I did not make any game play adjustments. I will consider this a final release unless someone brings something major to my attention. Download the entire package to get the corrected mod folder and new .cam file.

dragonwynn got a reaction from Fizou in CMRT Finnish Campaign: The Battle of Tali-Ihantala

    Michael
Here is the link to the campaign. Just place the mod folder into the dataz folder in your CMRT directory and the .cam file into the campaign directory.

dragonwynn got a reaction from 37mm in CMRT Campaign: Zitadelle: Totenkopf's March to Prokhorovka
This thing has been sitting on my hard drive for quite sometime. I was waiting for a module or vehicle pack to be released to give me the correct vehicles needed but since that doesn't look like its going to happen anytime soon I decided to finish it and put it up for play. If the vehicles needed are released I will go back and update it. It has only been partially tested.
Zitadelle:Totenkopf's March to Prokhorovka depicts actions of the 3rd SS Panzergrenadier Division Totenkopf during Operation Zitadelle, or more commonly, The Battle of Kursk, during July, 1943.
It requires the latest version of CMRT. The details are as follows:

Zitadelle: SS Totenkopf's March to Prokhorovka
Zitadelle is a CMRT Campaign depicting the actions of the 3rd SS Panzergrenadier Division Totenkopf (Deaths Head) during Operation Zitadelle, the German code word for the Battle of Kursk. It follows the divisions engagements from July 4, 1943 until July 12, 1943.
The campaign should be considered semi-historical simply because of limitations in the CMRT engine, mainly force composition and equipment. All the battles however were actual engagements and I tried to replicate them as accurately as I could. It requires the following:
    CMRT version 4.
The Included Mod Folder for immersion.
Division Totenkopf was one of three SS Divisions attached to the II. SS Panzer Korps that fought in the southern sector of the campaign. Totenkopf, along with the other two divisions, 1st SS Panzergrenadier Division Leibstandarte and 2nd SS Panzergrenadier Division Das Reich, along with support units, were under the command of SS Obergruppenfuhrer Paul Hausser and would be the main offensive punch for the Germans in this sector.
The 3rd SS Panzergrenadier Division Totenkopf is commanded by SS Brigadefuhrer Hermann Preiss during Operation Zitadelle.
    Note on Commanders:
I have tried to add in as many of the key commanders as possible for historical immersion. During the battle the II.SS Panzer-Korps lost many key commanders since many German commanders lead their troops from the front, so there was a lot of moving leadership around. I set the command tree for this campaign as it was in the beginning of the actual battle where I could.
This campaign features the following units as the core units.
    German Order of Battle:
    1. I.SS Panzergrenadier Regiment 6 (SS Sturmbannfuhrer Fritz Knochlein)
        4 x Kompanies
    2. II.SS Panzergrenadier Regiment 6 (SS Sturmbannfuhrer Ernst Haussler)
        4 x Kompanies
        2 x Kompanies (Reserve)
    3. III.SS Panzergrenadier Regiment 6 (SS Standartenfuhrer Karl Ullrich)
        4 x Kompanies
    4. I.SS Panzer Regiment 3 (SS Hauptsturmfuhrer Erwin Meierdress)
        2 x Kompanies ( 47 MkIVG tanks)
        1 x Kompanie (Reserve) (22 MkIVG tanks)
(These represent tanks repaired  and returned to service during the battle and will be  available later.)
1 x Support Kompanie (Flak Zug)
    5. I.SS Panzer Regiment (SS Obersturmfuhrer Wilhelm Schroder)
9.Kompanie (Tiger Kompanie) (11 MkVI Tiger 1 tanks)
    6. II.SS Panzer Regiment 3  (SS Sturmbannfuhrer Georg Bochmann)
        4 x Kompanies (59 MkIVG tanks)
1 x Support Kompanie (Flak Zug)
    7. SS Pionier Battalion 3 (SS Obersturmfuhrer Georg Kinzler
         1 x Kompanie
    8. SS-Sturmgeschutz-Abteilung 3 (SS Hauptsturmfuhrer Werner Korff)
        2 x Batterie
        1 x Batterie (Reserve)
    9. SS-Panzer-Aufklarungs-Abteilung 3 (SS Sturmbannfuhrer Otto Kron)
2 x Kompanies (Equipped with SPW 251 from the divisions halftrack battalion)
         1 x Kompanie (Reserve)
    10. I.SS Panzergrenadier Regiment 6 (Armored Battalion) (SS Obersturmbannfuhrer Rudolf Schneider)
         1 x Kompanie (Armored Car)
         2 x Kompanie ( Halftrack Battalion)
1 x Kompanie (Halftrack Battalion) (Reserve)
Soviet Order of Battle: (Non Core)
    1. 1241st Rifle Regiment (375th Rifle Division)
    2. 155th Guards Rifle Regiment (52nd Guards Rifle Division)
    3. 196th Guards Rifle Regiment (67th Guards Rifle Division)
    4. 245th Tank Regiment (2nd Guards Tank Corps)
    5. 289th Guards Regiment (97th Guards Rifle Division)
    6. 237th Tank Brigade (31st Tank Corps)
    7. 96th Tank Brigade ( attached to the 52nd Guards Rifle Division)
    8. 284th Guards Rifle Regiment (95th Guards Rifle Division)
    9. 287th Guards Regiment (95th Guards Rifle Division)
    10. 181st Tank Brigade (18th Tank Corps)
    Notes on unit composition:
Due to limitations in the current CMRT engine I used Aufklarung compositions to eliminate most of the panzerfausts which were not present during Operation Zitadelle. A few of the HQ units still randomly retain a few but there is nothing much I can do. Just use your imagination and let them be very accurately thrown teller mines.
Also historically Totenkopf had the following tank strengths:
    59 PzMkIII's
    47 PzMkIV (long barreled 75mm)
    11 PzMkVI Tigers
    8 Befehls Pz. (Repair Vehicles)
With the MKIII not being available I have substituted in the correct number of MkIV's, so the tank strength is correct on numbers but not correct on tank types. If BFC decides to make the MkIII (and KV-1) I will try and update this beast. As mentioned above there is one Kompanie in the I.SS Panzer Regiment 3 that is a reserve and this represents repaired tanks that were returned to service during the battle. These will be available towards the end.
    The Campaign Tree:
    1. Hill 218 - Axis Assault (Dawn)
    2. Breaking the Line - Axis Assault (Day)
    3. Actung Panzer - Axis Probe (Day)
    4. Clash at Kochetovka - Axis Attack (Day)
    5. Decision - Gives you the opportunity to play the next mission with or without using some of your reserves. You must be careful here as you will need every available asset in the later battles.
    6. 96th Tank Brigade Counterattacks - Meeting Engagement (No reserves) (Day)
    7. 96th Tank Brigade Counterattacks (Reserves) - Meeting Engagement (Reserves) (Day)
    8. Hells Bridgehead - Axis Assault (Day)
    9. Tooth and Nail - Allied Attack (Dawn)
    10. Fire and Steel - Meeting Engagement (Day)
For this campaign to be successful it will require careful management of your unit preservation, as the last battles will require every resource you can muster. 9.Kompanies Tigers will be especially important as you will get no replacements for them. (There was only 11 total during Zitadelle)
Artillery and air support will be available in most missions for both sides.
    The Mods:
Included with the campaign is a mod folder that contains the following:
    1. Veins excellent Totenkopf Uniform mod.
    2. Several terrain and effects textures from different sources for immersion.
    3. Aris PzMk IVG, SPW 251, Stug III and PzMkVI Tiger textures modified by me with the correct insignia used by Totenkopf during Operation Zitadelle.
    4. Custom Loading Music
    5. Totekopf Portrait Mod - I added the Deaths Head insignia to the portrait of the armored infantry and tank commanders from Mords Red Thunder Portraits mod. These will now show the correct insignia and are tagged to this campaign only.
    The Maps:
The maps were all created by the author (me) and I have tried to make them as accurate as possible. Most are large and may task slower systems.
Be sure to read the mission briefings for each mission.
I have included some historical information that the campaign was based on in each of the designer notes for each mission. This will give you a bigger picture of the events that are happening when each mission is played out.
As always let me know of any bugs or screw ups and I will fix and update.
I hope the campaign proves enjoyable.

dragonwynn got a reaction from laurent 22 in CMRT Campaign: Rattenkrieg
Rattenkrieg is a CMRT campaign depicting actions of the German 194th Infantrie Regiment, part of the 71st Infantrie Division, during mid-November 1942 in Stalingrad. This campaign is designed to show off the excellent Stalingrad Mod created by that team. Parts of the CMRT Winter Modification Teams work is also included featuring winter conditions in the final battles. Below is a copy of the Designer Notes featured in the campaign with all the details. This campaign is untested except by me so any problems or suggestions that you may have please make me aware through this thread or PM. I hope it proves to be enjoyable.
    Rattenkrieg
(The Devil Whispered " You can't withstand the storm".
The Warrior Replied " I am the storm".)
    Stalingrad, November 1942.
The Battle of Stalingrad has been raging since August. The 6th Army under Generalfeldmarschall Friedrich Paulus has fought into the city but has became bogged down in endless bloody street fighting where every ruined house, factory or building has been turned into a miniature fortress by the desperate Russian defenders of the 62nd Army under General V.I. Chuikov.
With both sides suffering horrendous losses the Germans have given the campaign the title "Rattenkrieg" which means "battle of the rats".
More and more German reserves are thrown into the inferno as the Russians desperately continue to push their reserves across the Volga River in a last ditch attempt to keep the city from falling. One such reserve is 3 kompanies from the 194th Infantrie Regiment, part of the 71st Infantrie Division which has been embroiled in the battle since August. Under the command of OberstLeutenant Roth and supported by the Radfahr-Abt 171, Pionier Battalion 171 and Aufklarung-Abt 171, the regiment is committed to the fighting in mid November.
Comprising some of the most experienced troops of the division, the regiment is sent by rail to a depot station where the 24th Panzer Division is moving its tanks into Stalingrad. The regiment, along with a platoon of tanks from the 24th, is transported by lorries towards the central section of the city where they are thrown immediately into the conflagration.
    About the Campaign:
Rattenkrieg is a fictional campaign based around the Battle of Stalingrad in mid-November. It follows 3 veteran kompanies of the 194th Infantrie Regiment under the command of OberstLeutenant Roth as they are thrust into the battle. Along with their supporting units, the regiment begins a 10 day battle to try and survive in the urban hell of a city blasted to ruins.
They must complete their missions while attempting to survive the Russian attempts to hold the city at all costs. With first snows of winter beginning to fall, time is becoming as much an enemy as the Russians.
What's Needed to Play This Campaign:
The Campaign is designed using the latest patched version of CMRT. It is based on the outstanding work of the Stalingrad Mod Team as well as the CMRT Winter Modification Team and all credit goes to them.
To play you will need the following:
Download the Stalingrad Mod as well as Umlauts Factory Mod. You MUST HAVE both mods for this campaign to work properly. Follow the install instructions that come with the mods. ( I highly recommend that you do a second install of CMRT with no mods and add these into a empty dataz folder. The Stalingrad Mod can cause some conflicts with other terrain and building mods. The Stalingrad Mod as well as Umlauts Factory Mod will give you everything you need for this campaign.)
Download this campaign as well as the mod folder titled Stalinmods. This mod folder will include all the Winter Modification files you will need as well as a few additional terrain files and modifications I have made. Place the Stalinmod folder in the CMRT dataz folder and the .cam file into your campaign directory. All the included mods are tagged to this campaign so they should not conflict with any others.
The Following Mods are used in this campaign. All Credit goes to their creators:
    The Stalingrad Mod
    Umlauts Factory Mod
    CMRT Winter Modification
Selected files from CMFB Winter Terrain
Selected files from Worgherns Winter Terrain Mod from CMFB.
    Worgherns Sky and Smoke Mods
    Aris T-34-76, T-70, BA-64 and Gaz-67 Mod
JuJu's Drop zone Mod from CMBN
All the maps were from the Stalingrad Mod Master Map as well as the Night at the Opera and Red Square maps. All credit goes to their creators. I have modified these maps slightly either adding in a few enhanced terrain files or adding and removing a few things to fit the scenarios. I also did a little tidying up such as fixing floating windows or out of align telephone poles etc. etc.
    The Core Units:
    Infantrie Regiment 194 (OberstLeutenant Roth)
    1 Kompanie
    2 Kompanie
    3 Kompanie
    Radfahr-Abt -171 (Bicycle Battalion)
    1  Kompanie
    Pionier Battalion 171
    2 x Zugs
    Aufklarung -Abt- 171
    3 Kompanie
(OberstLeutenant Roth must be kept alive. His death will reward the enemy 1000 Points and end the campaign.)
Special Note: To try and be as historically accurate as possible the core units are actually rebuilt formations. To eliminate the Panzerfausts and Panzerschreks which were not in service at the time of the battle I built the formations using Aufklarung or recon units. Only the headquarter units carry panzerfausts and I kept re-working them until I was able to get HQ units without.
However there appears to be a glitch that lets the panzerfausts randomly appear in the HQ units so these may show up in the scenarios. The primary units will have none though.
Also the core units have high status, either veteran or crack status, to replicate their experience level.
    The Campaign Tree:
Scenario 1 - A Helping Hand (Draw will advance)
Scenario 2 - Counterattack (Draw will advance)
Scenario 3- Hauptman Peipers Tank (Draw will advance)
Scenario 4 - Push to the Volga (Draw will advance to Scenario 5a)(Loss will advance to Scenario 5b)
Scenario 5a - Holding the Line (Draw will advance)
Scenario 5b- Red Tanks (Draw will advance)
Scenario 6 - The Airdrop (Draw will advance to Scenario 7a) (Loss will advance to Scenario 7b)
Scenario 7a - The Gray Line (Draw will win the campaign)
Scenario 7b - The Railway Station (Draw will win the campaign)

Link to the campaign file and mod folder (remember you will need to download the Stalingrad Mod and Umlauts Factory Mod seperately and install)

dragonwynn got a reaction from CMFDR in New Scenario: Cat and Mouse in the Promka
This scenario depicts a semi-historical engagement between Ukrainian forces (Blue) and Russian-backed Separatists (Red) during February of 2016. It is a infantry only action as there were no AFV's or tanks involved at the time of the engagement. The scenario is best played with the winter mod installed but it can be played without but with the loss of the immersion.

    Scenario Requirements:
    CMBS v4
    Scenario Specifics:
    Blue Side Only
    Length - 1 Hour 10 Minutes
    Map Size - Medium
    Semi-historical
    3 AI Plans for replayability
Reinforcements have random arrival times for both sides to add replay variety.
Mods - Tagged mods are included with the scenario

    1. Winter Mod - by the Winter Modification Team
    2. Separatists Mod - by Blimey
    3. DPR and Ukrainian Winterized Uniforms- by dragonwynn
    4. Map - by dragonwynn ( The map is a compressed representation of the actual area. It is not historical accurate but was done at this scale to balance the smaller unit compositions in the scenario.)
    Special Note:
My special thanks to Haiduk for his input and guidance for this scenario and map design. Though this is not historically perfect by any standard (the forces involved were smaller groups than depicted here but for playability I used approximately  partial company size units for each) but I hope it will give a good impression of the types of combat that is currently happening in those areas.
    Possible Conflicts:
If you have downloaded my CMBS Russian Campaign: The Mountains of Allah there could be some possible conflicts between those mods and this pack. Both use the Winter Mod with the same tags so it should not be any conflict with terrain but if it does just remove the Allah Mod folder out of the dataz and return when finished with this scenario.
The uniform mod uses the stock Ukrainian uniforms with some snow effects applied by me and is tagged to this scenario only. The Separatist Mod by Blimey (awesome work) is also tagged to this scenario only with some applied snow effects and it uses the Russian uniform slot so it should not interfere with any of my previous CMBS stuff (The Eagle and the Bear and The Shadow of the Motherland Campaigns). But if so just remove those mod packs and return when finished. Sorry in advance if anything arises.

This link includes all the mods for winter play. Uniform snow effects, vehicle snow effects and terrain. This is how the scenario was ment to be played as it reflects the actual timelines of the real engagements. But it is a hefty download for one scenario.
    Optional: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l5rk8u75mjk5t1r/Avdiivka Project 2.zip?dl=0
This link is if you have already downloaded my Mountains of Allah Russian campaign. That campaign has the winter mod attached and the tags are the same so the senario should pick them up (this is untested). The uniforms and vehicle mods are included with this download but it is much smaller in size.
Optional 2: Download the second version, trash the mods and just play the scenario in summer terrain. Drawback is your seperatists will look like Russians.
Download your choice and place the mod folder in the dataz directory and the .btt into the scenario folder.

Here is the latest updated .cam file for this campaign. It adds or corrects the following:
    1. Mission 1: Added additional support assets such as a heavy arty section and some fixed wing assets for support. Missing mortars, FO's and Air Controllers previously missing have also been added.
    2. Added the missing Air Controller Team to mission 4.
    3. Added a few more support assets to some of the missions.
Hopefully this will make the campaign more enjoyable.

Ok I think its time to release this beast for public consumption. Below are the recent adjustments and fixes based on playtester suggestions.
    1. I have found the save game issue and fixed. I had  some " : " in the file name it did not like. The " : " has been destroyed and you should be able to save in the middle of a mission.
    2. Added additional time to all missions as requested.
    3. The troops of SRY have been corrected and now include Lille Fiskerby's beloved Sherman Fireflies. (Thank you Lillie for pointing that out.)
    4. Also added a few more historical names to CO's of various units. Still could not find enough info to name all of them.
    5. Corrected briefings where changes were made.
    6. Made force adjustments in some missions based on tester suggestions. Some additions and some reductions. But the OOB is still historically accurate for all the missions based on my research.
    7. Added setup zone to one mission that was omitted.
    8. Made a few terrain adjustments to improve LOS in some missions.
    9. Adjusted some VP parameters in a few missions.
Thank you to all the playtesters who helped me with this campaign.
If any other issues come to light please let me know through this thread or PM and I will correct. Hopefully most everything is right now. This was a huge undertaking and my first truely historical campaign so I hope it proves enjoyable.
IMPORTANT: Before downloading please reread the opening section of this thread for the campaign details. This will not be for everyone. Its big, maps are big, everything is big so it may task older systems. It will require patience and management. But if you stick with it you will play through a little known but important battle of WW2.
