  1. Can't imagine Joanie playing CM. And as lovely a song as it is, it won't be going on my next CM Music mod.
  2. A few bombs landed close to it during the Battle of Britain. But it survived the war, and is still standing. Although from what I have read most of the bombs that fell on my town were jettisoned by planes that didn't make it to London, Biggin Hill, Kenley, or whatever their actual target was.
  3. A man after my own heart. When it comes to keeping things civil with brute force, I do have just a bit of previous.
  4. Or as myself, Tommy F, and the other boys in the band call 'em. Long Haired Charlie's bunch of losers.
  5. Cuz. Heinz G aka 57 varieties said so. And who are we to argue?
  6. It was "Colossal Crack". I had no trouble with it when I first played it about six years ago. And I was looking forward to giving it another go.
  7. I had the out of memory - error message come up recently, first time it had ever happened.
  8. Interesting. I think that I might have to take out a helpdesk ticket myself. As I can no longer get CMBN to run at all.
  9. I suspect that poor old Dobbin had a gut full of maggots, rather than a can of worms.
  10. With that quality detective work, perhaps you could write a song about detectives.
  11. I enjoy visiting church towers in real life. But, in CM they are just asking to get blasted. And the same goes for houses, barns, and any woodland that over looks my line of advance. As for unrealistic ammo usage. My understanding of CM as always been that we are playing in that period of the day when the boys at the sharp end were in action, as opposed to the hours of boredom that often made up their days.
  12. I can't be easy trying to create a realistic mod for the Ghurkas. None of them here in my town have pink legs, or pointy noses. The fact that MJK is trying at all has to be admired.
  13. 1950's Paisley. A proud father sits his bairn upon his knee, "Now Gerry I'm going to tell you all about the time I knocked out a whole heap of Panther tanks and took everyone prisoner all own my own".
  14. Nudges the Witchfinder General. Better put this one on the rack until we find out whether he meant "witch" or "which".
  15. Jorrocks said that bombing Cleve was his most painful decision of the war. Whether that was because of civilian casualties, it's architecture, or the fact that Annie the Flanders Mare came from Cleve isn't for me to say.
  16. Two things to remember. Marx once said, "I don't really know what a Marxist is, all I know is that I'm not one." And, that he liked to get pissed and smash street lamps down the Tottenham Court Road.
  17. I think that you will find that during the set-up phase, one of the crew took his ranging poles and measured both the distance to the barn, and the height of the roof. Then he clambered up onto the roof and checked it's angle. And once the battle started he lay there calling in targets to his mates. Of course, all of this is abstracted in the game. Or, maybe not.
  18. " I say Jack, old boy. Do try to be a bit more careful with your men next time." As Peter Sellers almost said.
  19. In addition to the above if you click back to the "General Discussion" page. The top thread "TSD III TPG II The CM Mod Warehouse update area " is worth checking out. The most recent post was on Friday.
  20. Just a bit of leg pulling on my part. Although that factory did produce vehicles during WW2, mainly searchlight trucks.
  21. Can't help with vehicles or aircraft. But, if anyone wants to mod buildings, this is a local factory "wearing" it's 1940 "camo".
